The service was exceptional. The store had 4 plus stars on yelp which was why I chose to use this store. Other people were telling me of their experience with other Verizon stores sounded as if they were not please with the service and follow thru. So I decided to use Yelp . I am pleased I did. Ismael the person that helps both my daughter and I. I was impressed with the way he presented the service and later called me to correct an increased cost that was on my bill several days later. This meant that he was assertive to follow up on his customers sales and checked that the previous customer sale was correct. Ismael definitely provided 5 out 5 for excellent service. His manager was at the store as well. He was personable and his people skills also impressed me as being 5 out of 5 for presentation, customer service and cost awareness. I've worked with the manager Sean before and I usually have no issue coming into the store to buy a new phone or related products and have been greeted by friendly workers. Today I went in and there was an older woman with brown hair working, never said hello to me or greeted me for the 15 minutes I was standing in the store. When I went to look at some of the iPhones, she yelled at me that they were locked down. I asked if she was busy and if I should go to a different store and she said sure. So that's what I'll do. Crazy rude attitude, especially when you're a current customer and looking to buy a new phone. Maybe she was upset about missing Super Bowl. read more

My post today is to let people know that this is not an actual Verizon store, it's a Victra authorized retailer for Verizon and I would not recommend coming here if you are changing providers and purchasing new phones. We signed a contract on March 26th, 2023, and the wrong promotion was applied to my phone number specifically, not once but twice. I was charged the full amount for my phone each month (28.00/mo.) instead of the contracted price of .28/mo until August 28th, (so 6 months) after paying the promotional fee up front to purchase the phone. Each time in went into this VIctra location, sometimes for an hour, they told me they fixed it but I would have to wait a couple of months for the system would update. It never updated and Sean, the store manager said he had no visibility to look further into my account to see if the "new promotion update" had taken place. Finally, in August I went to the real Verizon store at Sports Arena and begged for help since under normal circumstances they want you to work with the store you purchased the new service from. Jessie V., a manager there agreed to help me and reached out to the district manager to get the correct promo applied to my account and credit me the roughly $150 that was owed back to me from months of trying to resolve with the Victra store. Furthermore, they also charged me for 3 months of internet services that were also on a promotion to try 1 month free as long as the equipment was returned within the 1st month. Since we live in a canyon we couldn't get good reception for video conferencing, so I packed up the equipment and took it back to Victra, and Sean the store manager said I had to take it to Verizon directly as he wouldn't take it back. Verizon also did not want to take it back since I bought from Victra so I ended up having to take it to Fed X and got proof of delivery thank goodness. They finally stopped billing me after countless visits and phone calls, but I ended up having to meet the District Manager at the Victra store on Clairemont Drive to get that refund After 9 months of countless hours trying to get our money back we finally got credited on December 12th, 2023. My husband told me I should have just given up on it months ago, but it was the principal of the matter and rightly so they needed refund the approximate $250 of charges they owed us back. So the moral of the story is, go straight to a real Verizon store if you want to have recourse to an issue you might have. This was a terrible experience for me and I do not recommend this store for anything other than buying phone accessories. read more

We worked with the manager Sean and was was 10000% the greatest. He was so patient and so flexible with us even though I think he was the only one working 90% of the time. Not sure if the lack of staff is a reflection of Verison or Victra, but certainly not him. He explained things so well and really took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. Due to various issues, we were in the store for quite a while and there were at least three people that came in and said they were sent to him because he is the best. Over the course of an HOUR. And he took care of everyone, even customers that were jyst there to vent/complain about things he had no control over. No one left the store unhappy. This guy was everything to everyone and I can only hope that HIS boss values him the same way. read more

My wife and I have AT&T and Sprint respectively. We recently moved and the service for all mobile networks sucks in our new home, with the exception of Verizon. We stopped in this new Verizon store location on Clairemont and were very satisfied with our service. The wireless associates Selso and Jesus provided us the most personalized service ever! We had a lot of questions and they addressed them and provided honest feedback to cater to our needs. Because of their amazing customer service my wife, who has been with AT&T since 2001, left them and made the switch to Verizon. She got the new IPhone X with 512GB! I was not in a rush to switch, but I did take advantage of a temporary deal to take $150.00 off of a new iPad purchased at the time of new wireless service. If you are looking for new service, go to this Verizon store and speak to Selso and Jesus and you are guaranteed to be happy with their service and your purchase! read more

Worst company I have encountered recently. I have posted past reviews of my struggles over the last two and a half months with unreliable cell service in 92131 area code. After months of customer support calls, four service tickets failures, and continuous failed customer service calls I have finally manage to leave Verizon! The our two other doctors successfully left a month ago and report no service issues on new service. I filed a FCC complaint which finally got some more attention and customer service action. However even the new customer service calls failed until today. Verizon wireless service is unstable causing me to NOT receive emergency calls and customer service is erratic 98% of time. My FCC written letter response supported my experience. I was finally able to port over new wireless carrier. Jeremiah C., the sales associate at this location is dishonest about sales and promises to make a great deal for you but in reality he is worse than a used car salesman. The manager Ashley is a scoundrel too, she cheats the customer and backs up Jeremiah because all she cares about is sales not customer service. Jeremiah enticed me with the bundle deal he claimed they were providing as a holiday promotion. He said this bundle is a smoking deal and all we had to do was buy 3 phone accessories and get 2 for free. He also claimed that he would honor a military discount on top of the bundle pricing. I was surprised by this deal and could not resist. Little did I know, it was a classic scam. I did not have any reason to not trust him, he came off as friendly and even opened up about himself on a personal level. This act was a facade and he was quick to check us out and I did not think of checking the receipt. There were frustrated customers waiting to be served and he was the only employee there the day I came in. I felt bad for monopolizing his time since I asked a lot of questions regarding tech, phone plans, etc. My instinct told me to leave after the truth came out about this "Verizon" store actually being a Victra store, but against my better judgement, I trusted him and gave him the benefit of the doubt. When I got home and looked at the receipt, I found out that he upcharged everything and on top of that lied about the Set Up & Go fee being mandatory. Additionally, before leaving I confirmed with him about my trade in amount and I come to found out through Verizon he lied about the value and gave me a fraction of the trade in value I was promised on my Verizon upgrade plan! Not to mention, all of their phone accessories are marked up egregiously and they act like it is MSRP but the prices are higher than what the retailers are selling their products for directly on their websites. Avoid purchasing any phones or accessories from this store, go to the Verizon Corporate stores!! Victra and all of the employees here pose as Verizon Corporate stores just because they are registered resellers. Please avoid the mistake I made and do not trust what the sales associates tell you because all they truly care about is their commission. I came back the next day to get my price adjustment but they both claimed that they never said anything about a bundle deal and basically went back on everything Jeremiah told me. They claimed that I was the liar and gaslighted me. Jeremiah and Ashley are poor representatives of the Victra company and should be reprimanded for their dishonesty and utter lack of accountability and integrity. What goes around comes around and lying to vulnerable/trusting customers is straight up criminal. When something is too good to be true, remain cautious and examine carefully the charges, terms, conditions etc., even if you feel pressure to hurry or make a quick decision. Shawn is EXCELLENT!!! He's a phone magician! After hours spent on multiple calls to Verizon's customer service, I visited him at the Victra Verizon store and I'm so glad I did. From the moment he greeted me at the door until I left I felt welcomed, and that he really cared about solving the problem. And in about 5 minutes he had my sweet new Verizon phone working like a champ! He explained everything to me as he went and made sure all was working well before I left. I, rarely, write a review on Yelp...but my experience at Verizon at 2995 Clairemont Drive, San Diego was so "above and beyond" my expectations of what service can and should be...I was motivated to write and share my 2 week interaction at this store. Believe me, I have worked with Verizon for more than 20+ years, so I knew what to expect. What to expect is not what I received at this particular Verizon. In particular, Shawn is a rising star in what any Verizon customer should hope to receive in a customer service representative's attitude, knowledge, patience, competency...name it, Shawn has it all - he has the complete package of who you want to deal with! We had purchased two new iphone 14's last week (and that new phone was full of problems and glitches at the get go)! We were distressed but within a week we knew we did not want to keep the phones. Shawn arranged for a switch in phone and (almost seamlessly) got us into a a more perfect fit with two different phones. This kind of arrangement needed patience, AND attention to detail. I can not even begin to explain the multi-tasking he had to do with the two of us and other customers walking in and out of the store and needing his help. He is truly something special and I hope Verizon appreciates Shawn -- I can tell you the many stores I have interacted with in California, I have never experienced anyone like this before. I left with a new phone, a great deal, all my apps and data in place, and a understanding of the basics of the new phone. Maria was amazing!!! In December I purchased a new phone with a dual SIM card and ported my business line over! On Wednesday my business number stopped working and I was in a panic because due to COVID 19, my business was shut down and that was my only lifeline! I was on the phone with Verizon for over 5 hours running all kinds of tests and nobody could figure out what was wrong, so they finally overnighted me a new phone. Unfortunately the new phone didn't work either. I took a chance and came to this Verizon store in Clairemont last night and Poor Maria couldn't figure it out either. But that didn't stop her! She did her research and had me come in today and tried a few more things and it worked!!!!! I recently went in to have an Iphone activated. I was helped by a nice woman at the store. The reason for the 2 stars is during the activation process I noticed that she added "Equipment Protection" without ever asking me first. Keep in mind I was activating a $100 Iphone 6 for my daughter. When I noticed what she had done I asked her to please remove that so I don't have to call Verizon at a later time to have them remove it. She assured me that she had removed it. Of course I get the bill and the equipment protection charges are on there. And of course I had to call Verizon and sit on hold to get them removed. The reason I took the time to write the review is because I'm almost certain she did that to get some sort of compensation/commission for the upsell. read more

I walked in to the store and said, I have 3 goals - 1. We lower my bill 2. I get a free charger 3. Depending on how you do on the first 2, I may want a new phone. So Alberto hooked up my work to my account, and saved me $10, then paperless for another $5 a month! I got the free charger, so we moved onto the new phone. I got the Samsung Galaxy S8, and they spent hours working with me to make sure that all my information came over to the new phone. They were super patient and got me the best deal possible. I went here to upgrade my phone. The young mad who worked with me signed me up for a more expensive plan without informing me. Two months later I looked at my bills and realized the price had gone up by $60 per month. When I called Verizon they told me the plan I was signed up for included hot spots which I never requested.
