I had a sewer backup in my basement due to tree roots in my sewer tiles going out of the house. The plumbers Roddenberry out the tile and bagged up a lot of remnants of roots. But I was left with a big basement that was wet, stinky, and suspect as to just what was in the bunk on the floor. At the advice of my plumber, I called Spectrum Restoration Services. The operator took ,y info, and I got a call back in 3 minutes. A reassuring voice, said, "We can take care it." And the did. The first technician on site scoped things out, explained what they do, and took measurements in order to estimate the extent of work and cost. The price estimate (and the estimate was what I paid, no up charges later)was high, but not really higher than I expected. They cleaned and disinfected my basement, and applied antimicrobial solution. Then they set up 3 super powered fans, a giant dehumidifier and a big air purifier wit HEPA filtration. They checked with me each step of the way. The machinery stayed until my basement was completely dry and the humidity level down below where it would have been before the flood. They came back each day to check the machines and measure the air. Finally, on the 4th day, when all done they came back and collected their equipment. The technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. The used adequate protective gear and kept a safe distance from me. They were never unnecessarily hurried or abrupt. I got my money's worth when you consider the time spent and the equipment utilized. In the next couple of days they will send me a complete report of the work, the photos they took, and I will use these to attempt to recover from insurance. (They offered to deal with the insurance company, but since I also have one plumber bill for sewer rodding, and another for the water heater that was contaminated and needed to be replaced, I chose to do my own clim work) I would not hesitate to recommend Spectrum to my friend or neighbors. read more

I am so impressed with the service I got from this business! We had our basement flood really bad from last Wednesday night's rain. I guess our sump pump stopped working! We didn't find it for 24 hrs! We called Service Master and they couldn't come out right away and it was very important to get this cleaned up quick before mold set in. My State Farm agent told me about the Spectrum service. They were able to come to my house with 1 1/2 hrs. We called several others and got no responses! Corey set us up and was very thorough on what needed to happen and how it was going to be run. The insurance agent came by as well and ruled that the carpet needed to come out. I had a steady, productive crew at my house for about 7 hrs! They are running tests on my drywall to see if further action needs to be taken with that. They left about a dozen fans to dry out the rest. This company was so much more thorough than Service Master has ever been. Until recently I had only used Spectrum for carpet cleaning and had always been very happy with their work. The area recently experienced a bad rain storm and I unfortunately found my basement had flooded due to a failed sump pump. I contacted Brian and he responded immediately. I had declined insurance coverage so everything was going to be out of pocket. After assessing the situation I quickly realized I couldn't afford to not use Spectrum. My basement being dried out properly to avoid mold was my top priority. Brian explained what needed to be done, had equipment to my house within an hour or two, set everything up and came back daily. He wanted to ensure everything was going well, bring more equipment, and move the equipment when needed. Brian also pointed out additional spots that needed to be removed/demolished so he could dry the area. Brian got my basement dried out in a few days and I couldn't be happier! If it weren't for Brian's fast response, knowledge and overall concern for my house I probably would have mold. Thank you isn't sufficient for how grateful I am! Highly recommended! Our sump pumps failed and our finished basement flooded with about a half-inch of water. I'd never experienced a flooded basement and it was a HUGE learning curve on a very compressed timeline to figure out what to do and how to work with the insurance company. I found Spectrum Restoration when googling and looking for local companies with great reviews. Everyone else's reviews really helped me. Cory, the owner, came out that afternoon to assess and to answer all my questions. There was no pressure to use his company, but I liked the experience that he and his company had as well as all the 5-star reviews. And I was so glad I went with him. His team came out first thing the following morning. They were highly professional, the lead on the project had decades of experience, and everyone was very trustworthy - which was important as we were going out of town and they were going to come in and out to check on the drying process over the next few days. They also handled everything with the insurance company, documenting the basement damage, taking the carpet sample, writing up the work that was done, and submitting it all to State Farm who approved the claim quickly. According to Yelp, choosing five stars is "as good as it gets." Spectrum is all that, and I'd even give them six stars if I could. Our refrigerator's water line sprung a leak one Friday morning due to operator error (me) when changing the filter. I came home at lunch to walk the dog, and saw water flooding into the basement just below the kitchen. Our insurance agent suggested Specturm, so I called. They were over within just a couple hours -- on a Friday afternoon -- and went right to work. Using state-of-the-art equipment, they were able to save our hardwood floors in the kitchen, and minimize the damage in the basement. Over the course of the several days the drying equipment was in our home, a few different guys stopped by to check on the moisture levels, etc., and every single one of them was as nice and polite as could be. Just an unbelievable level of service you don't see much these days. And after all was said and done, you'd never know there'd been a mini flood at our place. Incredible! Derek and his crew are just the best! They handled everything--clean-up, restoration, arranging for a packing and storage company to pack up my belongings and store them while the work was being done. Jason was my project manager and he handled everything with the help of a very capable crew. I had never experienced any kind of disaster like this, so Jason took time to explain every step, handled every detail, met with the contractor who did a lot of the work, and checked in with me regularly to keep me apprised of the progress and to see how I was doing. The company is very efficient and thorough. The owner is honest and these people know what they're doing. I hope I never have another disaster like this, but if I do, I'll call them. A lot of companies can do the work, but not every company can do all the work and back it up with integrity and high level service like Spectrum does.
