I came across this place and after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a shot. Communication started via email by inquiring if they accept my insurance. They do, and they advised me when on the soonest I could make an appointment (when my 1 year since the last appointment is reached). I went ahead and made an appointment for my comprehensive eye exam and they emailed me the necessary forms (new patient, etc.) to complete prior to my appointment day. Reponse time was quick! Fast forward to appointment day (today). I walked in and was greeted by a friendly person at the desk who accepted my completed forms. I waited for a short period of time then I was called up to do the usual testing (peripheral vision, etc.) on the machines. She also did a iWellness Retina Exam (optional, additional fee, pretty cool to see a cross section of your eyeballs) to assess the health of my eye. I didn't catch her name, but the person who helped me was very friendly and helped me feel at ease. Once the tests were done, I was walked over to the neighboring room for the comprehensive eye exam with the optometrist. The optometrist who saw me, Sophia, was awesome! She's very knowledgeable (as she should be) and answered all the questions that I had. She provided helpful information to take care of my eyes and my Meibomian glands. Thorough, friendly, and professional are just a few of the many words that could describe her. I can imagine parking might be difficult during lunch time on the weekdays, but anytime before or after should be OK. They are closed every Sunday and tuesday. I was told that my contact lenses would arrive a week after my eye exam. After a week I didn't receive a call and when I called to check in, I was told that my contact lenses were delayed for a month and then was told that it was the standard wait time. So I waited, a few weeks passed by and then I received a phone call that my left eye lenses have arrived and if I already picked up my right eye. No I haven't, because they haven't arrived yet. So another week went by and I finally got a call that my right eye lenses have arrived and I can finally come and pick up my trial lenses. Keep in mind, this is my first time getting contact lenses. When I come into the store, they hand me a little brown bag with my lenses and tell me "that's it". After arriving home and realizing the difficulty of wearing lenses, I call the office of Optometry Corner to schedule a training session. The girl mentions that since it was my first time I should've had that scheduled but due to a new hire and miscommunication, I will have to wait to see a doctor for the training. I hate to be on the side of negativity or even leave a bad review on a business that requires hard work, but unfortunately the incompetence of basic customer service interaction has been ridiculously frustrating and has worn my patience thin. I initially came in for a LASIK consultation but it was found that ICL was a better option due to my cornea shape. I had great results and 20/20 vision immediately after surgery. I've been wearing glasses and contact lenses for over 20 years . It was tiresome having to take off…read moremy contacts everyday; including every time I showered, went swimming, took a nap, and before bedtime. The expenses for contact lenses, disinfecting solution, moistening drops, and annual eye exams kept adding up year after year. It was time I get LASIK while I'm still young because it maximizes years of contacts-free living and saves money over time. I did extensive research on LASIK providers and chose Dr. Feinerman for four reasons: 1) He did successful ICL surgery for my wife and she's had 20/20 vision ever since 2) He takes care of you from A to Z: He personally does all consultations, eye surgeries, and follow-up visits 3) He has over 20 years of experience and was a Chair of Ophthalmology at Hoag 4) He has many known celebrity/influencer clients (one of them Kobe, RIP). At my consultation, his assistants did diagnostic tests on my eyes to determine my candidacy. Dr. Feinerman said I qualified for Wavelight Plus LASIK (as opposed to traditional). The difference is that Wavelight Plus has higher rates of achieving 20/20 vision or better, and improved night vision. Not everyone can qualify for this so I chose this one. On the day of my surgery, it was done at his vision center and took less than an hour. I chose classical music to play in the background. My eyes were disinfected and numbed with solution. I laid on the operating table as Dr. Feinerman did the procedure and talked with me every step of the way. It didn't hurt at all and I was surprised it was quick ~15 mins. The moment it was done, I could see clearly as if I was wearing contact lenses. I was given a home care kit to take home and follow the schedule of eye drops to ensure my eyes recover. The next day I came in for a follow-up, did some vision tests, and Dr. Feinerman said I now have 20/20 vision. That was less than 24 hours from surgery so I can only hope for even better than 20/20 soon. For those those of you who are tired of wearing glasses and contacts, I highly suggest you invest in yourself and get LASIK. If you qualify, stop by Dr. Feinerman's office and I promise you won't regret it. I'm glad I did!

He called your office because his previous emails and text messages regarding his medical records had not received a response. No one answered his phone call. Instead, he received a text instructing him to communicate with the office by text--even though he had already been trying to reach your staff by both email and text without getting a response to his request. As for my own experience, I have also had difficulty getting my questions properly addressed. I have received repetitive or generic text responses that did not actually answer what I was asking. Simply sending a text within 24 hours does not mean that a patient's question or request has been addressed. We have been patients at your office for over seven years, and this review reflects our actual recent experiences. The issue is not whether your records show that a text was sent. The issue is the lack of meaningful responses, follow-up, and communication when patients are trying to get assistance. Rather than focusing on defending your office's response-time records, I hope you will take this feedback seriously and improve how your staff communicates with and follows up with patients. It is extremely frustrating and ridiculous that we were asked to text them after no one answered our call, yet they still did not respond to our text messages. We have continued trying to contact the office by phone, email, and text, but have not received a response. As of today, we still have not received the medical records we requested. After being patients here for more than 7 years, this experience has been extremely disappointing. Obtaining your own medical records should not require repeated emails, text messages, and phone calls over a period of weeks. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication and responsiveness.
