Spectrum lied to me. 1. Their tagline that you listen to for 5 minutes waiting for someone to pick up says, (and I quote) "No boundaries, no barriers, no limits!!" 2. Except you can't stream on a mobile device unless you're at your home where the service is connected to... OR... 3. Turn off your VPN. So in order to use their streaming service ourside your home, you are required to expose your mobile device to unsecure open wi-fi. Absolutely no exceptions per their "help" line. So much for "No boundaries, no barriers, no limits!!" You LIED. And this is after you talked me into getting cable TV, internet, and two phone lines. Well guess where all that service is going? I will start on a positive and say that I have not had major issues with Spectrum as a WiFi carrier. BUT. The process to switch to Spectrum Mobile was a lengthy and frustrating process, and I personally removed my line within two months. During the transition, each carrier was promising to accomplish the transfer for the five phone lines in my family, but there were numerous back-and-forth calls between the carriers for weeks. My mom was also given partial information about the quality of the unlimited plans, and crucial information was omitted regarding the limitations of the unlimited Wi-Fi. They suggested that it would take "a lot" of data usage to surpass the allocated amount of data, rather than the agent giving specifics. For customers who do not understand data usage, this needs to be better communicated. The $29.99 plan does NOT work for anyone who needs data on the regular for videos, podcasts, etc. Additionally, one of our devices never officially registered, and the IMEI would not register to get a trade-in phone through Spectrum like it offered on the website. Even when we did get through to customer service, they could only answer one question at a time, leaving us with more unanswered questions. The information provided was not streamlined well enough, especially for people who don't understand technology OR for people who want reliable data and more comprehensive agents. Spectrum mobile service is the worse service you can get! Spectrum gets customers by offering internet and mobile service at a good price. Well I got a different internet service. The phone service drops with a message that says, "Server Error, Try again later". This happens when I try to make a call, on a call, or when I am trying to receive a call! From yesterday to now I have had no phone service. While I was on the phone trying to switch to a new phone service the call failed and I was unable to complete the process. Now I will have to ask a neighbor to use their phone so that I can finish and hopefully have phone service. read more

The first phones purchased through Spectrum Mobile Service failed to connect to their service. They credited us for these phones as they were of no value. The Samsung A13 replacement phones were supposed to be paid off, yet we continued to be billed. We could not search the payment history of the phones, only the mobile service. We are so fed up with them, especially after they said they would write off the remaining balance on my wife's phone and credited us $20.48 for the overcharge on her device, yet it still showed a balance owed. After trying to pay off the balance online, unsuccessfully, I had one of their agents process the final payment and move our mobile service to Pure Talk. Unfortunately, Spectrum attempted to charge me three times for the same amount and my bank put a hold on all three charges and initiated a fraud alert. After explaining the issue to my bank, they authorized only one payment. I still have a lock on my wife's phone as Spectrum Mobile says they have no payment for the final amount. My bank shows they paid them earlier today. May God give them their just reward and may their company fail and fold. I have filed a fraud complaint with the Indiana Attorney General's Office. Spectrum has my phone number and I emailed a copy of the payment confirmation statement from my bank to Luis, one of the supervisors of their billing department. This is just another continuation of their stall tactics. If Spectrum Supervision would like to talk about this with me, then please call me, you have the number. Today, 15 May 2024, I spoke to my bank and a Spectrum representative. A credit of $71.91 is on my Spectrum account, but they won't process that credit until the end of the billing cycle, which is just over two weeks away, keeping my phone locked. My bank showed that Spectrum Mobile had attempted six (6) separate charges against the card on file with Spectrum for that same amount. My card is now inactive, thanks to Spectrum's attempted fraud. I wouldn't do business with Spectrum Mobile if they were the only provider on the planet. Follow my advice, never begin using them as your provider; you will only be sorry for not learning from my experience. read more

I switched to spectrum mobile from Verizon. What a huge mistake. I got the worst phone service ever. Intermittent, and dropped calls. Sometimes I wouldn't receive calls at all, and my iPhone 11 wouldn't even know someone called me. I called Spectrum customer service. Most people I spoke to were incompetent. They gave me the run-around transferring me between departments. One of them deactivated my line leaving me without service. I had to spend about 9 hours on the phone with them to try to reactivate and no one was successful in doing so. If I could rate them negative stars, I would. read more

Zero stars? I went in with a problem with my phone which we purchased at Spectrum and still have the cell phone service with. The woman who waited on me was terrible. She hardly listened to what I said. Her reaction was to tell me to Google the problem and fix it myself. She never even touched the phone or looked at what I wrote down. When I continued to ask for help she told me to go to a competitor for help. I will be taking my four phones, TV, and internet to another provider. read more

Since I am not in the least tech savvy, I decided to go over to the Spectrum store today, to set up my new I Phone and make sure everything transferred over right. I was lucky enough to get Ryan to help me. I work for Spectrum, in the retention center in Walker. This guy was amazing. Exactly the kind of employee our company can only hope we get. Very personable, knowledgeable and polite. He made a potentially stressful situation for me, floe like a piece of cake. I had heard some negative stuff from customers about our retail stores, and was interested in seeing how my experience would be. I have never been treated more professionally and politely at any other business. Makes me proud to be a part of our amazing company. Keep up the great job, Ryan! And, if you are his manager reading this, give that boy a raise, or a couple of extra days off. read more

Absolutely unsatisfied! My boyfriend and I have their WiFi and thought to try out their mobile service. Worse mistake... first off the Service is not the best. Second, the phone they recommended was terrible. My boyfriends phone wasn't even receiving calls or text. Third, we returned the phones through mail as they did when they sent us the phone, and a few days later we noticed a $354 charge on our bank account. They claim the phones were damaged during shipping. Now, keep in mind we bubble wrapped both phones prior to placing them back into their boxes. We insulated the shipping box they were shipped in. And the Fedex guy even taped the cell phone boxes shut. We are changing WiFi services as well. I highly do not recommend their service! read more

Spectrum Mobile?, run and run fast in the opposit direction. I have never had mobile service like this since the begining of cell phones. Never in my born days could I image anything so horrible! Ordered 2 phones from Spectrum and the nightmare begins. They arrived, both charging cords did not fit. Went to the store and was told to go over to Best Buy and purchase them myself. 14 day exchange is 11 days, they start when they send them not when they activate them. Went back to store with trouble in #2 voice breaks up and phone gets hot. Quick check, no every thing 's O.K. Come back if trouble persists. Went back, told to call "Repair" for service. There is no repair. You get a robot who can't deviate one word from "Cheat Sheet" for trouble. Wont listen, claims they are service techncians. Asked for supervisor, waited 10 hours and receicved call from one after I had gone to bed. Asked to be called back when I woke up, she insisted call had to be completed now and then.. This review IS about spectrum Mobile retail store in Holland. I'm a FL customer who happened to be in MI for the week. Walking in this store was like a scene from the Twilight Zone. Six scared ladies hiding behind masks and each standing in front of a computer with nothing to do. But one thing that can't do is help you with a Spectrum mobile phone issue if you didn't open your account at the Holland store. This isn't really a national brand it seems but a bunch of franchisees that really don't care about your business. God forbid you walk in without a mask, by the way. They morph into angry robots in a way that only Rod Serling could have imagined. read more

I was going to sign up with Spectrum. Things went wrong right away. I tried to get an issue resolved and installation date changed. HOURS on the phone, transferring from one department to another, dropped calls. Before I even had an installer at the house I got a bill! More calls, holds, dropped calls. Finally got the installer at the house. He mentioned I had a lot of "stuff" I was signed up for. No, I said, I only want tier 1. Could he fix it? No, I had to call the company. I had HOURS into this and was not willing to jump through their hoops anymore. Told the installer I wouldn't be taking the service because customer service was so bad. He understood and left. Now I have gotten another bill from them for 2 months of service! Yesterday I got a robocall call that my payments were overdue. I have stapled letters to both bills and sent them back with explanation that I do NOT have the service. I had a call from Spectrum after the first letter that it had been taken care of. No such luck. I will have to drive to their office and try to get it straightened out. My time, my gas...they don't care. Thumbs down!!! Zero stars... read more

This review is not a reflection on the Holland MI office location but was the only way I could get the word out there. If you are thinking about Spectrum Wireless - think again. Got talked into moving from Verizon while changing my TV/Internet service. 2 new phones and 2 gig data for $78/month which would drop to $28 month once phones paid off. Sounded too good to be true but went for it. When placing order I was told I needed to be home to sign for package when it arrived. I told them I couldn't be because I work full time and was told "No worry - when you get the email that phones are on the way just manage delivery through Fed Ex". Well Spectrum blocks you from managing your delivery and also won't lift the restrictions so Fed Ex tries to deliver 3 days in a row then sends the phones back. Now they are trying to charge me a $100 restocking fee. I'm currently fighting that. Do yourself a favor and don't go Spectrum Mobile. read more

If you want a good deal but want to work for it then spectrum mobile is for you. Be ready to spend at least 6 hours on the phone with multiple people. Expect to be lied to and transferred multiple time. We were told to drive to the mobile store to fix our issues. Well it is 80 miles away. So we listened and went just to be told they couldn't help us at the store. The next day we thought we were getting some where. We were told to go to the store to finally be done with the process and set up. So a second trip was made and guess what, still no phone and we got told there was another issue. We were lied to multiple times. We would get told one thing by one person just to be told a different thing by another. If I could give them a negative review I would. The only reason I am following through is because they have my wife's number held hostage.
