Thank you for taking a moment. Be very cautious with spectrum. Specifically be very cautious about providing Spectrum with a credit card number. On two occasions spectrum compromised my credit card details. The technique is to run your card for zero amount in order to verify the viability of your card. This is followed by a purchase, typically a device and a plan. Fortunately my credit union was able to identify this on both attempts by spectrum or perhaps a spectrum employee. As you know, credit card fraud claims take time to settle resulting in you will not have a particular card to use until the claim is resolved. Called to sign up for business phone service, they indicated there would be a $99 installation fee to install a landline jack for voip service. When questioning why the $99 fee wasn't mentioned on their website, but their website boasts "no hidden fees" the sales rep gave me a smart reply asking "if I called to complain about the fees or do I really want service?" Because of this, I opted not to use their business service and will be canceling my residential service as well. read more

If I can give spectrum 0 stars I would! I called to cancel my services and I kid you not they made it nearly impossible to cancel! I was on the phone transferred to different reps and when I finally got the cancellation department I was FORCED to answer a TON of questions in order to cancel. Questions that had nothing to do with my call and when I asked to speak to a manger to skip these question the rep said NO. There's no manager she could transfer me to. When I told her I did ken what to answer all these questions I just need to CANCEL she said that sh couldn't cancel unless I answered all the questions . She forced me ti stay on the phone answer about my cell phone provider, who I'm living with, asking about friends that may want to get spectrum, forced me to listen to all of these "promotions" even though I DONT NEED internet! I was losing my mind! That's not even the worse part. After I sat there in torture she told me she can't cancel my services because my services are canceled due to non payment . So in order to make sure that my services are canceled I have to pay , then call them back!!! Oh good grief!! I cannot believe this. Spectrum is HORRIBLE. Their services weren't great but I kept them because of the hassle of switching, constant outages and now this?! NEVER AGAIN will I go through them nor refer anyone to spectrum. The internet service has been terrible lately. Internet goes in and out every 10 minutes. Pay per view buffering so much you can't watch.

Good service but they raise your rate $10 every 6 months- 1 year. I started out paying $44 then it went up $54, $64, now it's $74! I just got off the phone with them and he says $74 is the basic rate and they only offer $44 to new customers. Absolute trash so they don't give a shit about current loyal customers. I asked if I can lower my internet speed to lower cost he said no $74 is the lowest. Fuckin rip off I'll be looking for a a different internet service read more

I do not trust this services. If it wasn't for it being the only provider available in my area I would switch. They have robbed me of money by adding tv services I never asked for and charging me data fees when I was suppose to be unlimited on mobile data. Customer service is absolutely terrible . When I called to install my internet services they added two apple devices and cable without my consent. I didn't find out until they were delivered and billed for $500. They not only cut off my internet until the balance was paid but refused to offer any resolution. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they had absolutely no idea what they were doing. I have been left without internet and a 500$ bill now . WORSE NIGHTMARE if you work from home ! I absolutely hate Spectrum and their customer service team. I don't even understand how they could hire incredibly awful individuals to represent customer service support, but they definitely take the cake on having the worse support in the history of internet/phone service providers. Just like every other review before mine, I had very similar (negative) experiences with Spectrum and their customer service reps. They might have the "fastest internet service around", but good luck trying to get good customer service. My family tried to sign up as a NEW customer with Spectrum about a month ago and they gave us the complete run around from the very start. The one tech that actually showed up to our house was completely ruin and had no idea what he was doing. We were promised the world and accepted so many apologies for the terrible service but no one ever offered to help make things better once they sold us their stupid "self install internet kit". The supervisor and the employee didn't even try to explain why they just said nope can't help you and that's it . The worst customer service, plus wait times are absurd! I had an appointment and for some reason couldn't find my confirmation. I approach a gentleman who's name I obtain at the end of our conversation by the name of "brancen" wearing a black shirt and grey pants at 5:21 pm on 11/13/19. This place has horrible customer service. You come in and register your name and then you wait and wait. Try to find a seat. I am short and they have some bar stools I climbed into and felt like I would fall out of. The TV that was there to entertain said no connect. When I asks to have it turned on, I was told they were to busy, which I replied that's why it needs to be on to entertain us. Finally my name is at the top and instead of getting called I am bypassed and my name disappears. I say excuse me I wasn't called, "Oh these people were in front of you" then why are people on the list after me being called probably a glitch but just a minute and we'll take care of you after these other people. I guess I hadn't waited long enough for them. Asked for the manager had to wait for him. he did nothing but to say sorry that I was upset not taking any responsibility. Called to see about the TCM channel which It turned out I already had. Asked if I could save any money on my bill . They changed my package to one that was 18/mo cheaper. Said new equipment would be FedExed in 5 days. Next day internet TV and phone all stopped working at the same time. Called again, was on the phone for two hours with multiple techs trying to diagnose the problem. Was disconnected twice each time having to go through the story again and again with each new tech. The last one wouldn't even do anything for me saying it was because of the fire in Santa Clarita. Since they installed my equipment on top of a 6' hutch I had to stand on a step stool to get to it to turn it off and on. I'm 73 and was taking a risk of falling. Spectrum said they flipped the switch to accommodate the new equipment that had not yet arrived but they discovered when I called that the wrong equipment was ordered and that I needed to return it within 30 days or I would be charged for it. Said they would send out a tech for free in three days and install the right equipment. When he came he told me I lost my TCM channel with the changed package. To get it back I have to pay $20/mo more so I will now pay more than when this began. The wrong equipment arrived an hour after he left. It was in two huge boxes which I was told not to open. I could barely carry them, but took the to the store as instructed. 15 people in line ahead of me. Can't carry those boxes and can't physically stand that long. No provision for handicapped. Only a couple of employees to handle the crowd. Left without being helped. Most of the people are very nice but the business process and communication is really terrible. My bundle bill has increased from $116 in Jan 2018 to over $200 and was told it will increase again after the first of the year. Seniors beware. read more

I'm giving 3 stars to average the service I received from Spectrum. The person I had the displeasure of talking to at the Lancaster Spectrum Store (Vicki, I think) was condescending, rude, unprofessional, and mean spirited while she tried to explain why my account was so screwed up from a recent move. I simply was moving inside California but was not told that my new address was under Spectrum-Charter and would no longer be under Spectrum-Time Warner. I thought Spectum was one company, guess not. I was so pissed when I leaving the store in Lancaster, I told the B... I wanted to close my account entirely but she replied that she couldnt because it was a different Spectrum...OMG. Got in my car and called Spectrum customer service, heatedly explain what was going on and she was apologetic and had sincere empathy for the situation I was facing. She was able to defuse me while she worked to resolve the issues. I'd fire the person at the Lancaster store and give the called customer service person a raise. read more
