From the first text/phone call he was friendly, clear, and professional. He showed up on time, went through the boxes carefully, and explained everything... what had value, what didn't, and why. Most of the books were common 90s issues, but he still treated the collection with a lot of respect, which meant a lot to me given the emotional attachment. He gave me a fair, straightforward offer on the spot, no pressure, no games. I felt totally comfortable doing business with him and really appreciated his honesty and kindness through the whole process. They have a ton of sports cards, limited on pokemon but if you ask him to get you a specific pack, he will! At least he will try. The owners are very kind, friendly, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable of what you are looking for. Instead of just answering, the employee immediately got irritated and told me I had "called five seconds ago." The problem is, I have never called this store in my life, and I hadn't made a phone call in several hours. When I tried to explain that, he was dismissive and acted like I was bothering him just for asking a basic inventory question. What made the interaction even stranger was how certain he was that I was supposedly the same person who had just called. It honestly made me wonder whether he was confusing me with another Asian customer, which felt pretty insulting. I call card shops regularly looking for Pokémon and One Piece products, and I've never had someone be this unnecessarily rude over such a simple question. The whole interaction was obnoxious and completely turned me off from ever visiting the store. If answering a quick inventory question is that much of an inconvenience, I'll happily spend my money somewhere else. Terrible first impression.

It's not too big inside, but there's a few rows of machines to choose from. They were all stocked well and the machines looked new and clean. Plays were $1 each with a card being $2. The attendant was really helpful when the claw was being buggy. I just showed her a video of it resetting prematurely and she gave me my play back. I had a decent experience overall but was a little upset when my Usagi came out and I realized it was fake (I think). The real sleeping bag Chiikawa plush series has tags and their names written on the back of the sleeping bag. I didn't pay that much so I wasn't upset, but it's something to be aware of.

I went in they quoted me $90 for a cleaning and shine with an estimate of 1-2 week turnaround time. I was called the next day to inform me the instrument was going to need more then expected and it went up to $160 SAME turnaround time. My very inpatient son after a week in a half asked me to call and get an update. I did but they didn't have an update. A little over 2 weeks I called a they say instrument will be in on Friday. I call they say not ready they will me it went on like that for what felt like for ever.

I took my 7-year-old son to this shop because he wanted Pokémon cards for his birthday. He used his…read moreown birthday money, and I paid his $80 for a box of 6 packs. The next day, I found out the exact same box could be purchased elsewhere for about $26. I understand stores need to make a profit, and I would have understood a reasonable markup, maybe $35 or so. But charging $80 for a kids' card box feels excessive, especially when young children and parents who are new to the hobby may not know the normal retail price. I later learned that scalping is a big issue with these cards, and that some shops buy from scalpers and resell at much higher prices. That may be common in the hobby, but as a parent, it does not feel right when kids are involved. I ended up giving my son his $80 back and taking the loss myself because I did not want his birthday money to be wasted that way. He no longer wants to go back to the shop, and honestly, I understand why. The people we met at regular stores like Vons and Albertsons were actually kinder and more helpful about cards than this card shop was. I wish places that sell products aimed at kids would be more reasonable with pricing instead of making parents feel like they have to be scalped just to let their child enjoy the hobby. This has become a Man Child obsession, and he and I don't want to be part of it. I will not be returning.
