The staff at the comic book store in Claremont - A Shop Called Quest -are way better at helping, asking if you need anything, and like to talk about comics. Value: 0. Overpriced. I just checked my transaction history, and it was $43.53 out the door. Amazon has it for $19.

I had a really bad experience at Comic Madness. From the moment we walked in, the girl behind the…read morecounter was rude and had zero customer service skills. She acted annoyed that we were even there and kept that attitude the entire time. When we asked about prices, she responded in a really sarcastic and dismissive way. At one point she said "25..." and when we tried to clarify she said "like 25 cents," which just came off as rude and unhelpful instead of answering a simple question. It felt like she was being intentionally difficult. She also told us she was working alone, but there was a guy behind the counter too -- and he was actually nice and polite, which made the whole situation even more confusing. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Customer service makes a big difference, and unfortunately this visit was a miss.

My boyfriend is in one of the bands that played here which they've played once before. We recently got into comics and reading again so we went in to supper their bookstore. The staff was very welcoming and helpful when we walked in the store. There were so many book organized into their own sections. This made the book easier to look through. Recently I've been into horror book and that section did not disappoint. I ended up getting Stephen King's Pet Cemetery. The prices of the book were on the lower side which was very nice!. As for the concert aspect, it was another amazing hard core show. The bands were amazing and I have to give some love to the staff running the concert. A fight broke out and two members of the staff took care of it. They kicked the guy out who started it and was there for the guy that got hurt. Overall this is an amazing location and I will be back for another concert/book shopping session.

The…read morestore itself has not only a wide variety of books and records, CDs and gifts, they also have a connected space in which they host the listening parties & live shows. The employees were welcoming, friendly and made the experience fun. They encouraged us to join their (free) rewards program via their website and follow them on instagram for updates and other events. I preordered the LP, and pricing is slightly higher than the Bruno Mars website, but I was happy to support a local business. I picked up the album today, and received the same great customer service as my first visit.

My daughter and granddaughter accompanied me on a mission to find specific hard to find Pokémon cards to complete a set. We were able to find 5 or 6 of them. It was so much fun hanging out and ferreting through boxes and boxes of cards. We weren't rushed out and were left to dig at our leisure. I'll return to True to dig, sort, and converse. It's like being a kid again. Quick Tip: No sports cards, but the friendly associates can direct you to where you can find them. Have fun.

Vincent is a gem of a dealer and human being. He gave my boys sleeves, and even $5 full alt-art foils at no cost. Needless to say, for any future Pokémon purchases, I'm coming to these guys first. They also had 6-7 binders full of great $1-2 cards and it's exactly what we're looking for. Ended up walking out with $20 worth of $1 cards, not including their gifts to my boys. I get it, we're not high-dollar spenders for this hobby, but these guys treated us like we were. Vincent and his team deserve all the business they get.

Fantastic comic book shop in a strip mall in Rancho Cucamonga. The folks here are friendly and you can tell they are knowledgeable and love the industry. I randomly stumbled across this place when I was grabbing lunch in the area on my break. I can't speak to much on the value because I was just going in to take a look at the time (and didn't purchase anything on that particular visit), but from the price tags, everything that I saw seemed very reasonable. This is the type of place that I would have spent a lot of my paper route or minimum wages I earned when I was a kid. I probably would have spent hours here and been here all the time if this place was near me growing up. If you are into comic books and related collectibles, this place is an absolute gem.
