BEWARE OF THIS STORE THEY ARE A SCAM !!!! They sell faulty gift cards and Xbox game pass cards !!!! I went into the store 6/1 and purchased a $15 gift card. If they would have known there products they would have instructed me to get the game pass to play online. So, the following day I went and purchased a 3 month game pass and Andrew helped me out. Go home and the card does not work. I call the store numerous times no answers. Finally get Andrew on the phone immediately gets defensive and says to contact Xbox support we just sell Microsoft stuff but they have to give you a secondary code. I contact support and am on a chat with them for two hours all for them to tell me that this was purchased in Canada and further investigation is needed. Haha what the heck this makes zero sense I live in California. Call back again to speak with Javier. He immediately gets defensive as well tells me this whole story about how he does not own Microsoft and how I need to contact them GameStop just sells the cards but Microsoft sometimes has glitchy codes. So, he basically admitted they sell faulty glitchy gift cards and passes. I would not shop here guys !!! I don't know her name, and when I called to inquire her name, (Andy or Randy) did not want to give me her name. She has blue hair and was "helping out for the day." So they don't know her name. I was interested in getting a Nintendo Switch for my Daughter. And when I was asking her questions, she would not stop fixing up the stock to come answer my questions, or pull them out of the shelf, so I could see them. Ended up just walking out. There was 1 other customer there, a guy helping him at the counter, and her. She could give 2 sh*ts what I was asking, or even trying to help me. P.S. I'm a business owner, and if my employees treated a customer this way, they would be out of job immediately. Up until today, I haven't had any significant issues. Well, today there was racism at the forefront coupled with a negative attitude by the store manager (Alex). I called corporate because I was really offended and inconvenienced by HIS store policy. While talking to corporate I was informed each store has the discretion on how much in gift crds they will sell to the customer. I never had this happen before (Alex). I've been going to the Eastvale Gateway store for years and most of the reps have been professional and very helpful. I allowed Alex to get under my skin and for that I am sorry. I did not use any inappropriate language but my body language did change. I am upset with myself and should be used to the type of treatment he dished my way...difference between used to and accepting which I am not. read more

Wasn't expecting much from the trade in value since they're so old but my man Nico the sales associate in there was able to to maximize our trade in value with some deals and getting creative with the trade in. Also he was the only one in the store working this early Saturday and man it was busy but he was able to make sure everyone got the help they needed. Just want send a to shout out Patrick (I believe that was his name, worked on 10/14). I went to the store in Corona, closest to my home, to exchange a dud Xbox elite 2 controller that I had received 2 days prior. I let her know that I just wanted to exchange the controller and not use the insurance, due to it being a dud. She told me that she had to go through the insurance because there was no way to transfer the insurance to the new controller. And she said she was trained this way. What do you mean? What if I didn't have insurance and I received a dud? She said they would swap it out. Make no sense. She said she couldn't help me. Say less... I called the east ale store where Patrick came in clutch. I told him my situation and he said Ye's there was a way to transfer it. Great! I'm going back to Corona to get my controller. I ended up going back because she kept my ID from earlier and didn't even take the time to call me to let me know. I showed up and the girl was like oh here's your ID. I said cool I'm here to swap my controller out as well. Again she told me she couldn't help me. So I said say less... I called Patrick in Eastvale, he remembered me. I asked him if he would be kind to train the employee in Corona for the swap. Input him on speaker and he assisted the untrained staff to do it. That's customer service for you! Thank you! First off, store supposed to open at 11 am according to the physical store hours, Yelp shows 10 am and needs to change it to 11 am. The lazy employee named "Lucky" with a ring nose came in late and opened store at 11:30 am, people waiting outside and says he needs 10 minutes, he took 20 minutes instead. I go in and ask if the shipment of these new card boxes came in, he said he has nothing in the back, I go to Buffalo Wild Wings nearby and came back 12:45 pm or so, asked if the shipment came in for these cards and said he's the only there and cannot go to the back to check for the cards and said a lot of boxes are there in the back to open, and to come back after 3 pm when someone else comes in, after stating there was nothing there earlier, while giving a nasty attitude being so rude about it. Not sure why GameStop hires lazy people like this guy, he needs to be FIRED ASAP or this GameStop will be closing down, he doesn't care about his job! These mf's over in Eastvale, CA GameStop on Limonite are first class morons. I normally use my iphone to buy things, we all do. I don't have the physical card with me at all times. I walk in to buy the Sony PS 5 Pro for my Birthday and while I'm trying to get the process done my pin number was not working, but while I was doing this, the female behind the cash register was asking why was I buying it and trying to talk me out of the sale saying "I don't know why people buy the Pro, it's not worth it. Every time someone buy one, I'm like why!" as if we just stupid customers. So anywho, my pin doesn't work, so I walk outside to fix it; walked back in to run it again and her co-worker dude all of a sudden doesn't like my looks and made up some bogus policy about their 'requirement of a physical card when selling consoles blah blah blah' ...denied selling me the console...Who turns down $750?... where they do that at? What a-holes these two were. Why she didn't spit that policy to me when she was accepting to use my iphone the first time? I won't be patronizing there ever again. read more

I ordered my game online for in store pick up, on Black Friday, today. I understand that this day is the "busiest" day of the year. I once worked retail. However, my experience was terrible with one single associate during the pick up process. I would love to give this rating a 1 star based on that alone, however I shop here often and I've never had a bad experience, until today. She was a short haired blond girl, I believe she wore glasses. She stared at me without verbal cues that she was ready to assist me at the register, which was WEIRD. She also stared at me and paused after I told her why I was there, again WEIRD. Once she helped me, I asked for a bag and she said she didn't have any.... So I had to buy a 1.50 bag that I will never use after today. Instead of assisting me, she then began to talk to another employee to complain about her aunt calling her on Black Friday. There was also a mix up at the register with the pin pad. She was very impatient and just not equipped to be working and providing customer service on this day, in my opinion. I will take my business to a different location going forward. My husband and I work hard for our earnings, and although money is meant to be spent, I'd rather spend it with a company that provides a good experience as well. I will note that I had my 3 year old with me, with a smile on my face during the entire interaction. My kid learns by modeling and I had to remind my daughter who has better social skills than the associate, that her behavior is not how people should behave. Also. My game was pre-owned and I paid for a new game. There were smudges on the disc. It also wasn't sealed. read more

So I ended up buying a PlayStation 5 bundle because that's the only way you can buy a ps5 these days. Paid over $870.00 for it which is a lot for me but like everyone else I didn't see myself getting a ps5 any other way. Thought everything was ok had the receipt and everything so I was happy because I finally got one. Took me a while to connect my ps5 because was in the process of moving and did not want to hook it up to my new 77 inch tv and have to disconnect it again. Long story short ps5 was bought in Jan. Was not able to finally hook it up til a few months later, come, to find out the codes that came with the bundle pack are not the right according to Sony the codes are incorrect. The gift card 0f $100 that was included with the bundle from GameStop is wrong, the Ps network $59.99 for the year membership is incorrect. Had to call Sony about the codes and was told all are incorrect. All in all I ended up losing approximately about $240.00 on this purchase. What a nightmare and still have not heard from Game Stop customer service after initiating a return via phone and numerous follow up calls each time being told it is in process. It has been 4 weeks. Initially tried to return it to Game Stop Eastvale location (which their return website online says is possible), but was told refund would only be in the form of gift card not to original Paypal. I came here because I wanted to buy a year membership for the PS4 and some games. They had a 4 for $20 sale for pre owned games that were listed $10 and under. I picked everything out and when I went to pay they said I couldn't get the deal because one of the games ran as $16 instead of $9.99 even though it said $9.99 on the game that I picked up.
