Great store with friendly staff. I see a lot of reviews from people who don't understand that each individual store has separate ratings, complaining about service at their own home. If you want to complain, go to Spectrums Google reviews, NOT to an individual store that has no control over your service. It's hard to believe this has to be spelled out for some people. I am beyond furious with Spectrum's abysmal service and complete lack of professionalism. Since moving into my townhome on June 7, 2024, there has been an unsightly orange cable running from the back of my home across three other properties to a Spectrum utility box. I have called at least five times to get this eyesore taken care of, and absolutely nothing has been done! I've been told multiple times that work orders were put in and then canceled for no reason. The cables need to be buried, which should have been done within 5 to 7 days, according to them. Well, it's now way past that timeframe, and the problem is still there. On top of this, it appears that Spectrum employees do not communicate across departments. Every time I reach out to them, whomever I speak with has no idea why no action has been taken or what the current status is of my service order. I am appalled and outraged by the lack of professionalism and service from Spectrum. I have escalated this issue countless times, only to be ignored. Horrible service. We have had constant outages all day almost every day for the past month. They sent someone out around a month ago to "upgrade" the equipment in the area for everyone and ever since then our internet has been horrid. I cannot work, stream, game, or watch movies with how bad it is. It goes out numerous times a day. Contacting Spectrum accomplished absolutely nothing. A technician came out and told us our router and modem were fine, but they had done maintenance in the area and it was malfunctioning. They still have not fixed it. We have tried contacting them multiple times to complain and they STILL haven't sent someone out to fix anything. No wonder they make it so hard to contact them; there is no number to call a real person (it just sends you to a bot) and you have to use an online chat feature that isn't available when your internet is out (almost all the time). Adding credits to my account after complaining is not enough. They need to send someone out here and actually fix it because this is just unacceptable. With how much it goes out I wonder if it's possible to sue for false advertising and failing to provide said service. It's very unfortunate that Spectrum is the only available option in our area. As soon as something else is available we will be making the switch instantly. At our old house we had Verizon and had no issues. I work from home and the internet is always going out. Thank goodness for my Hotspot on my phone. I complain and they say it was scheduled maintenance like I am stupid. They are now inundating my email with scheduled maintenance that is happening during the day within an 8 hour window but they don't tell you how or what will be effected so it's a guess - will my internet go out today? This review concerns Spectrum customer service. (Not at a particular store but the customer service on the phone) First of all the customer is placed on hold forever. Last week was on the phone for a total of 2 hours after being on hold for 30 minutes for the "Retention" department. This week on the phone for almost 2 hours. Was adding service to our account last week. Needed to make changes this week because we were not happy with the service we were sold. After spending 2 hours on the first call they still sent the wrong equipment which caused us to have to go to the Spectrum store twice to return it. All they cared about was make a bigger sell. When canceling the TV service there was no attempt to retain me as a customer. I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THE RENTENTION DEPARTMENT! She just wanted to argue with me about keeping a service we didn't want. Their policy in returning Apple equipment is ridiculous. Expect the customer to pay for a worthless piece of equipment. Have had it less than 4 days. There is a reason we are changing all Internet and TV Services to a company that IS NOT Spectrum. If at all possible stay away from them. Worst company ever. I signed up for an internet plan for $30/mo. After a week I receive info that I can get a free phone line if I upgrade to the $60/mo plan. I go in person and speak with one of the team members who assured me that I only needed to upgrade for one month to get the line and that after that, I can return to my $30/mo plan with my phone line being unaffected. My surprise is that when I went to change my subscription after one month they told me that I no longer qualified for the $30/mo plan and that I had been "grandfathered" into the $60/mo. They literally lied to my face when they told me that I could return to my $30/mo service. They are scammers and openly lie to their customers. Avoid them at all costs. read more

Had a technician come out who completely destroyed the cabling in my house, without my consent, and didn't fix the actual problem (i ended up doing that myself). I call and complain, and they send the same idiot (Mohamed) out. He then refuses to fix the issues he caused and being super combative, and calling his manager and the manager sides with him. And the technician wouldn't even tell me what he did. Their explanation was, because I'm not a cable tv customer they wouldn't fix the damage they caused to the cabling in my house. I have been (against my own will) using spectrum for the past 3 years because my apartment requires it, and I can honestly say my internet gets cut off AT LEAST once a week. Yes, bill has been paid and everything. In fact, my internet is out as we speak. It will be a miracle if this review actually gets posted. When it first started happening they told me to "just unplug and plug back in the equipment". I have to do this about 5 times a day for it to MAYBE start working. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN. I have many rooms where I need a working TV for my kids and any guests. Unfortunately, this required the rental of Spectrum DVRs, etc. The rental of ALL the equipment adds up per month and year. One DVR model did not display the channel in front so I went to the Spectrum store off 288 and met Ricardo. He not only fixed my issue but did a review of my account and explained alternatives like Rokus which are a 1-time purchase vs renting equipment. My smart TVs (LGs and Samsungs) will load the Spectrum App so I needed the 2nd device. Ricardo could have looked away but instead, helped me save a ton each month and year. I am so thankful for his honesty and integrity. This was a great hire for this store and I hope he is recognized by the store Mgr. He is being recognized here by me...a happy customer and now elated. read more

I have been experiencing poor service for over 3 months now. I have called customer service and have had 5 visits from Techs that all basically say the same thing, that they are upgrading and because I am on the end of the line and there are only 2 customers on this line I will be last to receive the upgrade. Their explanation involves that my equipment is set up for the new signal they will be sending, but unfortunately they are not sending that at this time. and the equipment gets confused and drops trying to fine the proper signal. I have asked to get old equipment or something but that is not an option. I told them poor internet is better than no internet. But that has fallen on tied hands that do not have the power to fix my issue. I have been told, I need to be patient and wait then it will be really good. It does not seem to matter I work from home and that I need service now. I asked when this might happen and was told, you never can tell for sure but in the next month or 2 I should be ok. But sorry nothing I can do is my only consolation. I can not stay on line for a few minutes and then I have to wait for it to reconnect. The last speed test showed 5Meg download speed. AKA dialup. So when it is up it really does not work either. As luck would have it there are no other providers that service my home so I am forced to go to my mobile service provider and pay for a hotspot. It will get the job done but still very stressful to complete my work in a timely manner. There is not concern from Spectrum of my circumstance which is the hardest thing about this. There is only me and my neighbor so what if we are unhappy. Not going to change their bottom line and what can one voice do on a Yelp review. read more

I went into the Denton store on Loop 288. They only had 2 associates who were busy with two other customers. Then there was nobody could take a cash payment. Which only takes like 2 minutes to process - if that and they know this. I was forced to use the kiosk which don't take change nor give any change back. I been with Spectrum for 10 years now and I am not impressed. Calling them is the worst customer service I've ever seen. Then going to this store with it being severely under staffed, was a waste of 45mins of my time. It really shows how bad your company is when you can't keep employees working there and even your call center is worse than going in person. Then the audacity to try n offer someone your mobile service?! Are you high?! I don't like AT&T or Verizon, so I have no desire to use your mobile service. Those two mobile providers have been in the game same amount of time as I've been in I.T. And I gotta tell ya, when companies grow too fast, it hurts them in the long run. The best part of Spectrumm I think was the honesty that I got when I called to sign up for service. I told them what my budget was and what services I had with our other cable provider. The only problem with our other provider. They lie and our service prices continued to get higher and higher each month. The young lady suggested to me a package and she told me what was available to me. She gave me options and prices. She kept me within the budget that I wanted. Set up for installation. I had installation for a Sunday morning 8:00. I thought that I wouldn't see anyone. Nope was there at 7:58. Loved that when they came they had a mask. We had some issues with account numbers but before he left he made sure that we wasn't without some sort of way to be able to watch television or access our WiFi. He ran a new cable from box to box. He told us that it was there and that he had it down to be installed in a couple of weeks. He told my husband that the office schedules but our guys are abt 2 months out because of COVID.
