Very disappointed with the performance of the system package that cost me over $10,000 (I purchased…read moretheir premium/top level speaker package and a number of other items they recommended). Before the installation, I shared my concerns below with the sales person/installer: 1. The size of the inwall speakers the recommended would not likely reproduce the full range of sound desired (especially midrange frequencies) 2. The soundstage produced by the front three speakers needed to anchor vocals to the faces onscreen - not localized to a speaker (especially not to the center channel located below screen). 3. I wanted clean but very strong bass performance that you could feel but not localize to a point in the room. After the installation I received a full demo and sure enough - they failed on all three points. - There is minimal midrange reproduction - The voices are localized on the center channel speaker (despite adjustments) - The powered subwoofer cost over $1,000, but lacks any real impact and it is easy to place where it is in the room I spent time afterwards with the installer sharing my concerns and asking for adjustments to be made. He made some efforts, but the equipment and configuration still produces very, very thin sound reproduction. There is no full range of deep rich sound in action movies (vehicle engines, explosions, etc.). Music on soundtracks sounds like it is playing out of a hand held radio. I told him I was not satisfied and not happy. All he could offer was to sell me additional speakers (left and right tower cabinet speakers and a second subwoofer), and he would give me credit back for two of the in wall speaker The amp is likely not adequate - should have gone with something higher current (Denon, Marantz or similar?). I trusted my money with their expertise/recommendations, and really feel like I failed to pick the right Home Theater company to accomplish a simple HT set up. The room is a dedicated HT room, only 14'x21' with 10' ceilings. I should have done more research. Lastly - on a personal note, I believe how an installer approaches "wire management" (see photos - no methodology) is an indicator of their attention to detail what standard they set for themselves. These guys are a total scam. I brought my laptop to them, because it wouldn't power on. The little…read morelight on the keyboard wouldn't even illuminate, which means that the power from the AC outlet isn't being transmitted to the motherboard. I've worked in IT for 30-years and knew the exact problem with my laptop, before bringing to this company. I just don't have the tools to directly soldier onto the motherboard, which is what this computer needed to be fixed. They kept my laptop for 2 days, before telling me that I needed to pay them $225 for a new battery, but the battery on this laptop works fine and even if the battery was bad, I should still be able to power this laptop on and use it, which I can't. If I followed their diagnosis and allowed them to charge me too much for a battery, then the laptop would have worked long enough for me to pay their $225 bill, but a few hours after the repair, when the charge runs out of the new battery, the laptop would stop working and I'd have to carry it back to this company to ostensibly do another root-cause analysis and charge me too much money again, because they never addressed the root cause of the problem which is that no power is getting to the motherboard to either start the computer or charge the battery. I don't want these people touching my computer, since they know less about the issue than I do. They still required me to pay $53 for a diagnostic fee to get my laptop back, which is ridiculous, because their diagnosis is wrong. They tried to scam me and when I got the computer back, the case is not even fully put back together and there are screws missing from the laptop. I initially refused to pay for a bad diagnosis, but they refused to return my laptop, unless I paid, so I recanted to be able to reclaim my laptop. It doesn't cost me anything to file a civil suit against this company, so they haven't heard the last from me.

I had purchased the wrong equipment, wired my house wrong, and installed a versa box which left a hole in my fireplace (all because Tollbrothers had rushed me through the process or frankly gave me the wrong info to start). Johann never acted frustrated that he was dealing with a less than ideal situation. He never showed frustration with the situation, but simply offered me astute work-arounds and solutions. We hired Benjamin's Cabling to rewire our home and a separate building on our property. He worked very hard to get the job done and was very patient with my questions and requests for information as we went. Initially, communication was great and timely but over the course of the project timeline, this did not remain the case. I would reach out multiple time via email and text and not hear back for a long while. In addition, there were requests that I made for the project which were not and still have not been completed. Since having our home hardwired, we have since needed to build on that infrastructure with security systems and other smart home features. As other professionals have come into our home and home business to do their part of our build-out, they have pointed things out to me that Benjamin didn't do correctly or finish up properly -- things that I wouldn't have known to ask for but that other professionals think Benjamin should have understood and made provisions for. I have since emailed, texted, and called Benjamin multiple times to have him come back and tie up loose ends. He has not replied. Earlier this fall, I recommended him to a friend. She heard back promptly from him initially but she has since followed up and not received a response. I have asked Benjamin to let me know if there was some reason that I wasn't receiving a reply so that if this was the case I could address that. Still no reply. We spent thousands of dollars and before anyone else does the same, I just wanted to make sure you had the opportunity to know in advance that communication may be an issue. It has definitely been for us. In addition, while everything Benjamin said he would do he eventually did, some of the parts of the projects involved him figuring things out. We had to purchase multiple TVs and soundbars because the initial recommendations he made didn't work together. This cost me additional money both in product expense and in my time running back and forth to the store. Benjamin is very smart but he is also young and building his business. This was something I was happy to help him do because his work was good and initially it appeared his professional level of customer service was too. Unfortunately, he left some loose ends that will now cost me additional money to tie up. Again, initially, I was very impressed. I even asked Benjamin to share about his experiences as a young entrepreneur with my three teenage sons. I'm still impressed with the work he did complete but I believe that his youth may also play a role in the lack of timely communication and a few parts of the projects that weren't completed properly. Hopefully, this helps someone make a decision, and if you decide to go with Benjamin just make sure you are extremely clear with Benjamin about what you want done and the time frame in which it should be completed. An hour or so later, I found that a cable was knocked loose in my attic and I lost communication to some of my devices. He was happy to return and fix the issue ASAP. I unfortunately was not able to meet that day, but he gladly returned the next business day (with a second tech) and finished the job.
