I just got off the phone with spectrum cable tv. I had such a wonderful conversation and the employees were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Now spectrum cell phone support was talking to people smoking weed in the background, kids crying and screaming sounded like prison let out early. Cussing and screaming between families . I talked to at least 30 people at spectrum phone due to so many problems and uneducated customer support staff. So much, I didn't even want to live in the USA. It was that bad! I need to clarify the cable and internet have extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've had zero issues over the years. I will give credit where is due and spectrum cable and internet have been wonderful. read more

horrible, just horrible. First off, I have two properties. I was using Spectrum for a few years until I discovered AT&T is less expensive and astronomically faster/better. My second property was using spectrum and when I wanted to cancel they wouldn't let me schedule a cancelation. So, I had to time it just right and didn't. They don't refund when they go past a period of time when I wanted to cancel and I wasn't even using it. Then they put me on seasonal discount plan as a way of refunding which ends up being a trap, then I had remember 9 months later to cancel again, 9 months later I call and it was just past the point that the 4.99 a month seasonal hold expires and it auto renews at 54 a month even though I didn't want it to. This is all because their system Is so incompetent that they can't schedule a cancelation which is conveniently in their favor. So then I have to spend an hour on the phone explaining again how I didn't want a service I wasn't even using to begin with and had been paying for for the last 9 months, plus what happened prior to that. They could see 9 months ago they were charging me for a service I wasn't even using and they can see I haven't even been using it all year. Such a relentless ordeal. The people on the phone sound miserable as well and talking to them just makes things even worse. I don't even know if they're doing what they say they're doing (ie canceling) this time. Not only is the internet service horrible, customer service is a mess! Don't call in to cancel unless you have an hour to spend on the phone and still get nothing done. I got a new service because Spectrum stinks and called to cancel. After being given the runaround and spending over 45 minutes on the phone answering a million questions of why I'm canceling, seems like the representative never canceled my service. I was charged once again for another month and when calling in to ask them to please cancel, they're charging me for a another month. I spoke to a supervisor that said they will not be refunding me so now I'm expected to pay for something I did not use. Spectrum is not worth the time. We're so much happier with our new service with Ripple Fiber and can't recommend them enough. Give them a try! You'll be glad you did. Visited Spectrum Center to watch the Hornets play the Wizards earlier this afternoon. The arena itself was amazing. The court was kept well, the seats were comfy, and the decor around the stadium was really dope to see. I thoroughly enjoyed the commentator for the Hornets -- he's honestly such a great hype man for the audience and has an energetic voice. I came to watch some of my favorite players battle it out and the game was not disappointing. My only complaint is that the food concession line was atrocious. There was no order to who would be served next and the staff were all over the place. I wish there was a better ticketing system in place to show when the next customer's food would be served and ready (maybe a TV screen with a list of customer tickets being worked on). I ordered 2 soft drinks and a bag of nachos and that took 20 minutes which is pretty insane considering none of that needs to be cooked and can just be grabbed off the shelf. Overall, I give the stadium 4 out of 5 stars because the stadium/staff/court/players/entertainment is awesome, but the ticketing system is terrible. read more

In January I moved into a new place so I needed wifi, unfortunately I went with Spectrum because they seemed to have good rates. (Notice how online you can't see any reviews for them) In the month of February there was 5 different occasions that our wifi went out for an extended period of time, one day a whole 14 hours, and their response was simply "there's nothing we can do just wait".. ridiculous.. I work from home that can not happen. I called and complained multiple times and they really didn't seem to care so I cancelled the service 2/18. It is now 3/4 and I have a charge on my account? I called and asked about it and they told me they didn't cancel it until the 3rd so I would have to pay for this round and there's nothing they can do... bullshit. If possible I would give them 0 stars. I rarely ever write reviews, but after getting charged for a full-month of service that I didn't use I decided it was time. I started service in March of 2023, by July, the service had cut out so many times that I decided it was time to switch. I work from home and can't afford to not have internet. My service dates are apparently roughly June 25th - July 24th. I cancelled on July 6th. Upon calling to get my bill adjusted they gave some speech read off a script about it being in the terms of service. Number one, who reads those? Number 2, this is an ethnically horrible business operation at the least. I've never been happier to switch internet providers. I have now had AT&T for two months and have had substantially better service. Even if AT&T jacks up their prices I would still stay with them over Spectrum. The only reason I have them is because they are prepackaged in my rent with my apartment complex. I have several incidents with them and not one pleasant. One incident they charged me hundreds of dollars for a premium service and sent someone to cut off my services if I didn't pay, mind you they are prepackaged through my apartment complex so I can't customize if I wanted to. They said it would go through appeals and surprise, surprise they ruled wasn't enough evidence to return my funds. Again I pay through my apartment complex as part of my rent. Then Everytime there is a storm pray the internet doesn't go out because they'll give false timelines of when they anticipate for it to be restored only for you having to follow up to find out you need a technician to come to your complex and the earliest they can come is 2 days later. 4 days after the storm and still no service, if you work from home kiss your PTO goodbye. They're crooks, liars and slow responding. They'll take your money and cost you money and they're one of the main reasons I'll make sure my next move is in a area where I have other providers as an option. read more

We had a Spectrum sales person come to our home and tell us how much we could save moving from AT&T to Spectrum. Once the actual transaction was run through Spectrum it was found the offer he wanted to give us was no longer valid. Therefore, we had to send the unopened equipment back to Spectrum. We sent it back and got a tracking number (thankfully). You would think that is the end of the story. We do not have an account number because we never officially set up an account. No, each month since May Spectrum charges our credit card for a montly service we do not have. We call, they then credit our credit card. This has continued to go on, we have contacted Spectrum several times and each time are promised it has been taken care of. We receive a case number each time we call and report this. Now, seven months later, a new charge on our card AND they have now added in a collection agency to call us, and we have now received another case number. This is going to affect our credit for their lack of business operations. If I could sue them I would. This is the most frustrating experience I have had with a utility company. read more

Where do we begin: I've only been with Spectrum for a year, but it was already more expensive and less reliable than Xfinity I had in the North. The customer service and cancellation process is THE WORST. And ruins the potential for a return to service with the company. This is a terrible company. I doubt anyone will read this - I wouldn't - but I wanted to document it, in case anyone from Spectrum cares about what people think about them. I canceled my service because I was moving, and they told me I would have to return my equipment to a retail location - they gave me the address of one near my new home, so I went out of my way to return it. I waited in line for 15 minutes, and when I got to the desk they told me that they couldn't process it, I would need to go to UPS. I spent more time, going to UPS, waited another 15 minutes until, they could process it. They told me to keep the receipt since they often get former Spectrum users who complain that Spectrum didn't get it. Not a surprise, but Spectrum alerted me that I would be billed again. I called again to explain the situation, and they assured me the problem was solved. A few days later, I learned that they took the money out of my account. Again, I called Spectrum, and they assured me that the problem was solved and I would be issued a refund. I got the refund which was a MasterCard gift card from some company called North Lane. I don't know who they are, nor should I have cared - my relationship was with Spectrum, not North Lane. I was asked to register the cards, and they asked for all kinds of personal information. I just played along, and somewhere during the registration process, I got a message that the registration "timed out." I tried to register again, and a message came up saying my card was already registered. I tried to login again, and for some reason they couldn't recognize my UN and PW. I have a very specific system for this, but they claimed I had it wrong, so I asked to get the info emailed to me. It never came, and when I tried again, thinking I made a typo, I was locked out of my account, and they told me to call customer service (of course, they didn't give a phone number, so I had to dig through the trash looking for the letter that came with the card. I called the number, and no surprise, but it was an automated system that gave me a few options, none of which related to my issue. When I tried to find a live person, I got an automated message saying "good bye". I went back to Spectrum, and told them I just wanted a check, they told me they couldn't help me, I needed to call North Lane. I escalated the issue, and the supervisor gave me the same answer. I told them that it was Spectrum's issue to figure out. Yes, I lost my patience at this point, but I made sure to continually let the agent know that I understood it was not their mistake. After back and forth, they thanked me and hung up. Unfortunately, most apartment complexes lock you in with a specific provider. I will go out of my way to avoid using Spectrum, even if it means putting a satellite dish in my living room. This is a terrible, terrible, terrible company. read more

And when it does they usually take all day to fix it and then make sure to send me an email telling me the service was out less than 4 hours so they will not be crediting me. Rarely is it ever out less than 4 hours. Yesterday from the time I was home to the time I went to sleep there was no internet. This was over 6 hours. Today they messaged me telling me they fixed the internet and I would receive no refund since it was less than four hours it was out. The funny thing is when I called to ask about it just to have them they say it was definitely longer and they would make sure to credit me. Service is terrible. My parents switched to Lumos & Specrum charged them for a whole month even though they canceled 2 days after the new billing cycle. My brother's business canceled their service. Specrum didn't tell them they had to return the equipment until later. Thankfully they kept everything but when they took the equipment to the UPS Store as instructed they left out a couple pieces claiming they didn't need them. Specrum email saying they did need them, keep in mind they never sent a list of what needed to be return & the missing pieces were 2 plastic boxes with no serial number or anything on them. Also when my mother canceled Specrum they gave her nothing but attitude about canceling. They ask way too many questions if you aren't using them that are none of their business. They charged me for an entire additional month of service that I didn't use. I am highly disappointed with the customer service provided by Spectrum Internet. It's probably the worst company I have dealt with. I lost my credit card, which I used in the Spectrum auto-pay. I did not get my replacement card, so I did not update the payment method. My auto-pay failed on 28 November, and I got an email from Spectrum on the same day. Within the next 24 hours, I made a one-time payment and settled it. I saw a $25 charge for auto-pay failure in my next bill. When I checked with customer care, I was told that this is written in the terms. I feel this is cheating. I have not seen another company doing this. read more

I rated them as one star because it is not possible to give zero stars. I work from home and rely on my internet connection for my livelihood. I knew today was going to be a serious day as there were some international incidents in play that affect my business directly. I logged in as normal about 7:30 and everything was OK to start. About 9:30 things really started to break away and suddenly my connection slowed greatly. I was trying to take care of several high priority needs and could get nothing done. A few minutes later my connection ceased entirely. Business down. I grabbed my phone and set up a hot spot and then logged back in through it. It's slow but it does work. In the meantime I asked my spouse to reset our modem. I continued trying to work but the phone connection made it difficult. I completed one task but several others were going bad quickly and I could not get to them quickly enough. Eventually, the modem reconnected with the internet and I was able to get back online. Unfortunately, the crises were over and the damage was done. I was out two weeks of income and now face a huge uphill battle to overcome this debacle. When I stopped working for lunch I decided to research Spectrum's offering for business class service. I have been told that it's faster/better and that support is much better. Unfortunately, their only information online is vague and directs customers to a toll free line. I called the line and held for 12 minutes. When someone answered I heard a noisy call center in the background making it difficult to hear their rep. He asked for my name, phone number and address. He needed my name and phone in case we got disconnected. He needed my address to see what service was available to me. At this point he put me on hold to check options. When he got back he wanted my email address. I asked why he needed it and he said that it was required for the work order. I asked "what work order??" He said that Spectrum required him to get my email at this point so that he would have it for the work order. I reminded him that I had not ordered anything and was not sure that I would. He then said that he had to have it as required by Spectrum. Then he could share Business Class pricing and options. So I provided my email address and then he started asking me how I was going to use their internet service. I literally could not believe this and asked what the options were. He said he needed to know how I would be using the internet before he could offer options. So we went thru this meaningless exercise, wasting more time. Eventually he concluded that I needed their 300 Mbps down/10 Mbps up, business class service for $125 a month. Twenty five mins after I called I finally get told that I can get the same service I have now (under the name Business Service) for 2x as much money. Not faster. Not more reliable. No mention or promise of better/more reliability. Just double the price. Here's the funny thing....he was disappointed that I didn't want to sign up. I guess I should want to double my costs for the same (lack of) service I'm currently getting. What a joke. read more

Why is this company allowed to exist and operate? Overpriced, with horrible customer support. They frequently go out of service. When you call, they will tell you the time of the outage but will have no clue as to what the cause is, how to fix it, where the problem is...And their outrages are never short. They can last for days. You get no updates during down time. Then mysteriously the problem will disappear. Also, every time there is a power outage, Spectrum goes down too. Once the power is restored, Spectrum remains out of service for few extra hours. It appears everything with them is based on a single points of failure. No backups, no alternate lines. Finally a place to rant, Spectrum SUCKS, they are extremely over priced, customer service is friendly but not efficient in getting anything done, it's like they don't even communicate to each other. Their website is a lie, they talk about having low prices but charge 85 dollars monthly just for the lowest speed of WiFI, and this price continues to go up every year but the quality of the service is the same. I would just change to another service but unfortunately Spectrum is the only WiFi company in my area, which allows them to overcharge everybody. So in case you came looking to see if you should hire Spectrum, just know what you are getting into, they will offer amazing deals at first but the longer you stay with them the more expensive it gets. read more

When I drafted this review, it was a one star. TWC needs to get their crap worked out with their IT infrastructure. First, ten minutes after I placed the order online I received an email that said I needed to call in to confirm some details. The operator said that everything looked fine but that he couldn't confirm the appointment time I had selected and the next available one was two weeks later. Uh, what? "I'd like to escalate this, please." And the customer care operator who got my call figured it all out (the first guy hadn't put any notes in the call record) and I was confirmed for the appointment I had selected. Second, the day before I was to have the service turned on, I recieved an email that said "This email confirms that your order has been cancelled at your request. We certainly hope you'll reconsider Time Warner Cable." Uh, WTF? So I called again and eventually got through to an operator who said she had no idea what that email was about and able to confirm the appointment I had. So I'm seriously starting to doubt my commitment to TWC. But then the technician arrived at my house exactly on time. He was courteous and professional and extremely good at getting everything hooked up. So I've decided that for now, TWC gets four stars.
