This business did our whole entire house and now we are having to fix at least 14 tiles due to poor workmanship! On top of this the customer service is horrible and has been nonexistent. Have called gone into the store and still have not received any help for their poor workmanship. Avoid this place at all cost. We are also having to rip out their bathroom tile work because how Unprofessional and horrible work they do. This business will just take your money and leave you with a pain in the side. After waiting 72 hours I'm able to write a review which will not come across as slamming this company online. An acquaintance of ours recently had tile floors installed in their home over the summer. The pictures looked great and this company was recommended. We contacted the owner and set up or consultation for the plans we had for our home. We agreed and placed a deposit. It took one week, and our main floor and guest bath were all tiled. We were happy and excited to have the other parts of the house, bedrooms and master bath tiled. We saved our money and called for part two. The one item we added was tiling of our master bath- to include removal of the vanity and adding tile for a feature wall behind the vanity. We paid 50% in December and scheduled install for spring break in March. After verifying workers would show on Monday the week before, we moved all 4 bedrooms into the garage and began camping in the living room. Monday morning arrives and the workers do not show. They cancel for the day because they behind on another project. Day two goes great and we are excited at the progress. Day 3- the bathroom tile installer called in for the day. Day 4 all the floors are done and are being grouted. They dug holes in our brand new installed landscaping in our front yard. After addressing them to not so this, new plastic barriers and new landscaping that's less than a month old, they literally dug a second hole in our front yard breaking the plastic again. Day 4 also-The bathroom has very little progress.... Day 5- the installer comes with their child. We tell the owner we can not take anymore time off work and can not be there Monday to finish up as we can see it will not be finished. Day 6- kid is back on site working with installer cutting tile and installing fyi... we are communicating with owner that the full feature wall needs to be done- what we paid for- and the installer did not want to do. He felt the new vanity would cover it. IT DOES NOT MATTER!! if I want to change my design to two pedestal sinks the tile should be installed professionally and we PAID for it! But sadly, the worker left that day, saying he was done. Grouted over newly laid tile with no spacers and begrudgingly... and it looks horrible. We paid our contract but refused to have them back in our house. We hoped they would do the right thing... an unfinished, unprofessional job.... They did not, they actually blew our phones up to get the check cashed and verified at our bank the next day... We sent photos, we communicated, we weren't bad customers... we we're screwed over and exploited for not being "those" customers read more

I was referred to Specialized Flooring by a friend who had flooring installed in two separate homes. I was nervous because I this was my first remodel that would involve three bathrooms. My in-home consultation was quickly scheduled and the owner, Rolan, arrived on time. Rolan was very helpful and provided lots of ideas to update our 20-year old bathrooms. We stopped by the store, were shown several options and found the perfect tiles, mosiacs, shower fixtures and tub to match my home decor. The work was scheduled and took only seven days to complete. The guys who completed the work were great. They arrived at 9am everyday and worked continuous until early evening and kept us in the loop with their progress. Rolan and Arnold stopped-by several times to check on the progress. Rolan even took care of a late sink addition that I decided to add after the project was underway. When the project was complete, Rolan and Arnold arrived for the walk-thru. We were completely satisfied with the work from start to finish. Specialized Flooring just remodeled two bathrooms, and did a GREAT job. We had used them before to lay luxury vinyl flooring, and was so happy with that job that when it came to remodeling our showers and baths, we had to give them the chance. Their bid was slightly lower than three other quotes, and as we looked closer at materials and had deeper conversations with Rolando and Arnold...we made our decision; and glad we did! They basically assembled an "All-Star Team" bringing in a demolition crew; then the tile crew....a day later we had another crew come and tear out our old vanities (which eventually got re-built taller and with fabulous new doors}. Then another crew came out to install the new quartz countertop and sink. Then the team who specialized in glass shower doors...then the painting crew...each crew experts in their own department! Mid-job we decided to get new carpet in a bedroom and that was then coordinated in by Rolando at Specialized Flooring; and again, another crew, this time carpet layers came out and were done in a few hours. The entire process took a couple of weeks (two baths and showers completely renovated, and new carpet and paint in bedroom) and now looks GREAT! Hard working crew....everyone was VERY detail oriented....and mindful of our space and cleaning up after themselves. Mostly appreciated the communication stream from Rolando and Arnold at the store keeping us informed of who was coming next to do the next "stage". This is our second large project working with David DeAljandro, owner with installation completed by Noah as tiler and Manual as helper. Our first was porcelain tile floor for our entire condo and recently a master shower conversion. David is responsive and thorough ensuring the work is completed in a timely manner. Noah is a highly skilled installer, working a recent Saturday to 'get back on schedule'. Our only concern was a recent one where our included custom shower doors were provided by Platinum Contracting. Platinum's service was horrendous but fortunately David stayed on them to ensure the job was completed to our satisfaction. We can't recommend Specialized Flooring enough and will consider them again for future projects. read more

NOTE: Our Location is NOT San Francisco - it's Sun City West, AZ We had about 2,200 sf of luxury vinyl installed in our home. Good installers, good product but service after the sale is terrible. The flooring was installed in July 2022. We notified Specialized (Roland, the owner ) in December that one area needed to be repaired and we'd contact them after the holidays to get it done. This is now March 2023. After leaving several messages with someone at the store as well as voice mail or text directly to Roland, we finally had someone show up yesterday and was told it would need to be ordered and he would call Roland and/or the office to let them know. Today, my husband followed up and talked to someone in the office. They had no knowledge of it. They never even remembered our name. We wanted to replace a few planks at our expense and were told it couldn't be done easily and would be a big job. That is not what we were told when we purchased the flooring. Overall, the person who showed up yesterday was a carpet installer. He really didn't want to do any of our requests. Our reason for wanting to replace a few (5) planks was because they just didn't give us the look we preferred. At that point, he tried to tell us that it was only because they were dirty. Floors dirty? Imagine that!! I think most floors get walked on daily especially in the kitchen, which was one area where we wanted to replace a plank. That was truly offensive! After 2 1/2 yrs the quartz countertop cracked and flooring chipped and buckled in places. Called Specialized flooring and was told to email the pictures. No response to email which was sent 11/15/21, or 4 phone calls so I took the pictures to their store. I was told David would call me, which he did. Made an appointment to come to the house to look at the problems. He canceled that appointment as he was being tested for Covid. Two weeks later he called and made an appointment for 3pm. He did not show up for appointment and I received a phone call from him at 5:30pm saying he could not come to appointment and made another appointment in a two week period. At that appointment he took a picture of the cracked quartz and texted his supplier asking if it could be fixed. He noted all the flooring problems and said he would try to get his flooring supplier to come out and look at the problems. Another week went by, he called and left a message on my phone. I called him right back but got his voicemail, I left a message. He returned my phone call a week later and said that they will not take care of the cracked quartz or flooring problems because the job over 3 years old. Not only did Specialized flooring drag their feet to take care of these issues but final payment was given to them October 2019. Clearly within the 3 year period they say they will guarantee. I am now in the process of filing at small claims court. read more

I hired this company to install tile in my home. They neglected to seal the grout (although that was part of the agreement). In addition, they broke the flanges off both toilets and left one toilet in my master bathroom shower (leaving the drain hole open so that toxic fumes could escape). Their employees brought children to the job site and left my doors open and unlocked on several occasions. The job took one month longer than estimated due to workers not showing up. I have written and called this company in an attempt to resolve my dissatisfaction and have not received one response from them to date. VERY unprofessional ! ! ! read more

I got several quotes to lay porcelain wood look tile throughout my home and I went with specialized because their prices are great and Rolando and crew are hands down great guys. We had 1K sf of existing tile to demo and 1400sf of 6x36 porcelain planks to lay down. Their crew is super detailed, friendly, and clean up after themselves every night. They definitely have pride in their work and it shows in the details. The job took a little longer than expected because the floor was a bit uneven but they didn't compromise on quality. I'm sorry to say that I cannot in good faith give this business higher than 1 star. And here is why...We originally went to Specialized Flooring because we wanted to replace our existing ceramic tile with ceramic tile that looks like wood. We found some that we liked in their showroom and based on others' reviews we took a chance. When one of the owners came over to give us the bid, he said the job would take 4-5 days and we could still live in our home while the work was being completed. I specifically asked these two questions! Well, I should have known when the first day of work came and by 10:00 AM there was no sign of any workers. I had to call (why didn't they?) to find out where they were. They informed us that their truck had broke down. Ok. We understand that things happen so we could not fault them in this. When they did show up an hour later, they immediately came in and started sledge hammering our existing tile. They didn't cover anything. They didn't move any of the furniture that we had paid extra to have done. So, my husband, who had taken the day off from work, frantically ran out to our garage to find some plastic coverings to quickly cover our kitchen island that stored dishes from our china hutch as well as taped up plastic to cover the door opening into our office where our electronics are stored. As the cloud dust began, I asked the workers (there were only 2) if they planned on covering any of the other things in the house like cabinetry and if they were going to move out the other furniture items that we had paid extra to have done. Their English was hard to understand and they proceeded to tell me how their truck broke down and they didn't have any supplies to do this. I called (the first time) to the store and spoke with the other owner and told him what was going on and he said he'd send someone over to see what was going on. So around 2:00 pm, he showed up. He saw the ceramic tile chunks that were hitting our newly painted doors and walls and the plastic that WE put up and the furniture still in the house. He told us he would reimburse us for the plastic that we had put up and that they would cover the other areas but told his guys to stop for the day after cleaning up some. OK, so the next day would be better, right?? So the next day the 2 guys showed up, this time they did bring some plastic and taped it over the kitchen cabinets (Too late though, dust was everywhere from the day before.) and they continued hammering away at all the ceramic. We were told that the demo would take the first day and then tile could begin to be laid. Ok, so it was originally put in very well and they needed extra time. Well, it ended up taking 4 days alone for demo. Why were no other workers put on this job? IN fact, one of the original two guys didn't even come back after that. The dust in our house was so bad that we physically could not live inside. We ended up in a hotel for 3 nights. We had to board our dog. We had to take our cat with us to the hotel. Once the original tile was out, the new tile came in. Ok. No, not ok. Apparently, only one guy could lay it. So the first guy starts laying the tile. After he was 2/3 of the way in from the front door into our living room, one of the owners shows up and calls me out to show me something. He starts showing me that there will be a little bit of a "lip" that I would notice and feel because of the way it was being laid. And, if we wanted it laid a different way he would have to rip all of the new tile out and start over!!! What?? I asked him who decided or told him to lay it that way? He said, and I quote, "Roland did." Now, I don't know if that was true but I wonder...why not ask the homeowner how they want it laid?? At this point we just wanted the job finished!!! So on the fifth day, they told us that they were going to have two more guys come and install the flooring over the weekend to get the job finished quicker. Saturday arrived and only one extra guy showed and Sunday came and neither of the two extra's showed. I will give the one guy who was here from the beginning credit though. He worked hard without much help. Finally on Wednesday he finished laying the tile. So instead of 4-5 days, it took 10. There were a couple things that still needed to be done at the end though. One, was the transition piece going into our office where we have wood flooring. That piece got ruined during the demo and they said they would replace it. Then the 2nd thing was that the hall closet sliding doors were put on without the metal runner piece at the bottom. Neither was done. In fact, I called to find out about the transition piece and Arnold said he would have his guy that installs it call me. He never did. I had to go pick it up and install it ourselves as well as the metal piece. Now, if we have to call to have a a tile fixed during this supposed 2 year warranty, I wonder if they will actually fix it? read more
