I really enjoyed the American cuisine here--great food and a nice atmosphere overall…read more I ordered the French onion soup and the Reuben eggrolls. The French onion soup seems to be popular here, and as soon as I saw that buttery-looking pastry puff baked on top, I knew I had to order it! It was definitely hearty, with plenty of onions (which I love). However, it was a bit saltier than I prefer. I do wish there were an option to substitute the onion soup with a chowder, like clam or corn chowder. The Reuben eggrolls were surprisingly good! I'm used to traditional Asian eggrolls, so I really liked this creative twist. The house-smoked pastrami, sauerkraut, and melted Gruyère cheese worked so well together. They tasted amazing with the spicy Russian dipping sauce (which I appreciated wasn't too spicy). It was such a flavorful and memorable dish! I'm glad I gave it a try.

The meat was tender, not fatty and but held together such as you could dip it without having a giant mass of meat inside the sauce, it was actually in the sandwich you could dip it, eat it, but it was soft enough that you could eat it. The vibe is fantastic, especially with the 70s and 80s music playing throughout the restaurant, which gives the whole place a fun and relaxed atmosphere. On this visit, I had the fried chicken and the "Play That Funky Music" pizza. The fried chicken was outstanding, perfectly crispy on the outside, flavorful throughout, and paired with two incredible dipping sauces that took it to another level. The pizza was equally impressive with the combination of melted goat cheese, bacon, and broccolini creating a unique and delicious flavor profile. Between the atmosphere, quality food, and excellent service, this is a restaurant I'll absolutely keep coming back to and would highly recommend to others.

The vibe of the resturant was so different and fun and we got a really nice circle booth. Me and a coworker split the Chopped BLT Salad & the Parmy Carmy sandwhcih and both were so delicious. The dressing on the salad was perfect & light, the only compliant I have is there was a weird, stringy like part of the chicken in the Parmy Carmy which turned us off a bit, but overall had such great flavor. Would go back!

Warm wood tones, beautiful lighting, and that perfect upscale-yet-cozy feel make the whole place feel special. The location is ideal too -- easy to get to and surrounded by that lively Shops at Legacy energy without any of the chaos. But the food? Next level. The elk tacos were straight-up fantastic -- perfectly seasoned, tender elk, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of heat. I could have eaten a second order without hesitation. Then came the chicken fried steak, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, golden crust, juicy and flavorful meat, and that classic creamy gravy that tastes like it was made with love. Every bite was pure comfort food elevated. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, yet still warm and welcoming. If you're in Plano and want a restaurant that nails both the food and the atmosphere, Haywire is it. I'm already planning my next visit. Hands-down 10/10. Our group of five was seated at a beautiful elevated circular booth with supple leather upholstery. The service was excellent, very kind and considerate. We got the short rib croquettes as an appetizer and were impressed by the fact that even their ketchup is made in-house. The croquettes were delicious and juicy, complemented by a crusted parmesan shell. For entrees, I got the seared ahi salad, and others in my group opted for rice pilaf with salmon, seared ahi sandwich, and the burger. All the ingredients in my salad tasted fresh and the ahi tuna cubes were tender and generously cut. Everyone was pleased with their dishes and we will likely return in the future!

Highly recommend the French dip sandwich - it was delicious! The steak salad was cooked perfectly, and the spinach dip was solid. The highlight of the meal was DEFINITELY the Pistachio Tres Leches! One of the best (if not the best) tres leches I've had! Overall, a great spot for date night, catching up with friends, or to work remotely. Only reason for 4 stars is that a few dishes, while good, didn't completely wow compared to the standout items. Still, I will 100% come back especially for the tres leches!

Our waiter Ruben was probably the best server we've had in years. He knew the food and drinks inside and out, he anticipated our needs and magically showed up with refills before I even knew I needed one. He told us about things on the menu and the restaurant and the services they offer. He was a guide without ever being pushy, he was always there with whatever we needed but was never hovering. Nice kid! I rarely talk to the managers unless something is seriously wrong. In this case I called Tom over to compliment how great the place is. We told him it was our first time in and that the only reason we hadn't been in before was it looked a bit expensive. He did mention they just came up with pick-a-pair for lunch at $14.95. Normally this means skimpy half-portions of stuff but not here. I was in the mood for bacon so I went for the BLT Salad & BLT Sandwich. The dressing was made in house and wonderfully garlicky without being overpowering. The tomatoes were juicy and flavorful, the bread was grilled to perfection, and even the arugula was delicious (and I hate arugula/rocket). My wife got the club with fruit salad as her side. Ruben said they cut the fruit daily. My wife doesn't like strawberries nor pineapple so I got bonus fruit on my salad. She only at half because Firebirds has a crème brûlée cheesecake and we had to split that. While we were there, a nearby table was celebrating and a bunch of waitstaff came out with shakers and martini glasses and poured everyone drinks. Fun and classy at the same time. We joined the loyalty club. No having to check in nor track points, they just send you discounts and free stuff in your birthday. The Jr. Chef club members get a free TShirt, a sundae on your birthday, a kitchen grill tours-makes me wish I was 10. Diverse staff, all happy to be working there, all focused on making sure the customers are happy. I wish I had come sooner, this is my new favorite place!
