this place just had their grand opening on saturday. i went with a few friends so i got to sample a…read morefew different things. the people that work here are very friendly and attentive. i ordered the pistachio milk tea, which came with pistachio butter on the inside of the cup, and some coffee cake. the coffee cake was quite good! the boba wasn't hard at all and had a great flavor. the tea had a weak pistachio flavor but the butter in the cup made up for it. i also tried the taro boba, which is EASILY the best taro around. the sunset bliss fruit tea tasted weirdly like the blue scooby doo gummies (a good thing). the seating selection here is quite small, so expect to take things to go if you're going at a busy time. this will surely become my go-to boba place.

The space and seating inside is limited, so it definitely seems more of a to-go than sit-down place. The staff was nothing but kind and worked very hard to keep the line moving as they were SO busy! They were giving away complimentary pastries ("mini" versions of what they'll sell regularly!) and gelato scoops as part of their first day, so I snagged an espresso scone, a slice of Cinnamon Toast Crunch banana bread, and a scoop of pumpkin cheesecake gelato. All three were SO yummy. I especially loved the gelato, which was super creamy, smooth, and pumpkin-y. I got to try a few samples of other flavors, and they were great too. I also got a pumpkin oatmilk latte to go with my pastries. I returned the next morning to see how the experience would be on a more "normal" day. I got a pumpkin oatmilk latte again, but asked for extra syrup as the first one I had wasn't quite as sweet as I would like. The woman working made my drink with one extra pump, and gave me the option to add another if it still wasn't sweet enough. I did end up needing another one, and I really appreciated that I was able to do so. I also got a full-sized espresso scone. These ones had crunchy sugar on top, which was a nice touch. The whipped topping on the croffle wasn't thick and grainy or too light to where it instantly melted. It kept a shape while being light and fluffy and not overly sweet. The strawberry matcha latte also was pretty good. All in all I'd recommend this spot to anyone walking around the neighborhood and indulging in some shopping in the area.

The majority of their coffees are organic, and small-batch roasted. They're sold as actual pounds 16 oz, rather than 12 oz at the grocery store. I've been enjoying their coffee since 2016. My favorite so far is Rock Creek Reserve, which I purchased at the Olney Farmers Market (recommended by the seller after discussing what I like and don't like). It's indescribably good, so smooth, and full-bodied. Next on my list is Charm City Blend, which I wanted to try solely on the name, since I was born and raised in Baltimore. Right now, I'm really enjoying Royal Blue Blend and it's so delicious and aromatic. Next will be Bird City Blend for obvious reasons. I've never been disappointed!
