Very happy with service in Columbus, MS!! I only wish that the upload speeds will get boosted 3mb upload is too slow. They have complained about using too much data for streaming Netflix and said they will have to charge more for data. No competition so they can charge what they want for data plans. read more

Horrible service provider they do not care about their customers. Customer support is next to useless and you will receive no help from them on the weekends and they charge absolutely outrageous prices for their service and they will strong arm you claiming that you went over your bandwith limit meaning you have to purchase a more exspensive package. seriously screw this company. read more

This isn't directed necessarily to the Prescott AZ location.....just CableOne in general. So many things...where to start. If you're on paperless billing....you need to have your account number stored because without it you're screwed. If you don't know your account number and you want to go online and find out whats going on with your account.....you have to sign up with your account number. The receipt they email you doesn't have the account number. So you're screwed. Now your only option is to call them and ask for your account number. So you go to their website and ATTEMPT TO FIND A PHONE NUMBER :0) You've been a good customer for a year, paid on time and this is how they treat you. Search and search to find a phone number......there it is...."talk to us" button. Finally.......click and only to get a form to fill out my information and send them an email. Well CABLEOne.....In AMERICA that is not TALKING! So.....I finally call information on my cell phone because CableOne won't make it available. So I get a phone number from my carrier for CableOne....supposedly Prescott AZ. 888 number. They connected me to INDIA! Or at least an Indian American who spoke.....sounded like indian. He couldn't help me he said......he could only attempt to "save me" er.....my account anyway. So he gives me a phone number to Prescott Valley AZ where I was told they won't cancel my account until I send back my modem. Unlike Dish Network who cancelled my account immediately and said I had to have my equipment back within 30 days. But I suppose CableOne wanted to squeeze a few more days of service out of me. I would never do business with this company again. Either provide an easy to access phone number no business from this guy. If you don't mind getting into an technological maze to end up in a loop that circles the globe to countries like INDIA...then perhaps CableOne is for you. For anyone with any sense at all....they would heed my advise and find another, any other provider. read more

Worst ISP & High Speed Internet in the country. The term "high speed" is fraudulent advertising. Sometimes Cable One 50meg service runs as low as 5-6mbps. Would be nice if we had a viable alternative. All you get from Cable One staff is the "run-a-round". Don't waste your time with Cable One. read more

It's a shame they don't have like half a star. I just got off the phone with one of ;there techs, I was complaining about the service tonite, about how slow we are tonite. apparently they are only good if no one else is using the service. He couldn't tell me how big a slice I was entitled to or when my slice will be available for use so I guess I just sit here and watch the little buffering thing go around. I wouldn't use this company if there was an alternative. To "fix" my cable issues, they had me reset my cable modem, which blew away all of my security systems.It took hours to get it back to where it needs to be, even though they told me to keep the default password so they could remote to the modem. That's just stupid since so could everyone else. They then sent techs to rerun the wire and screwed up the bricks in my patio and didn't say anything. More time spent to fix their "fix." So the cable modem is fine, the cable to the house checks out, now it's just inconsistent service. I called again, got the auto-tech who had me reboot the modem, then asked me questions about the modem lights. When I replied, robotech didn't understand me though I spoke slowly and enunciated. So, after wasting a half hour of my time, it transferred me to a live person who didn't understand what "I need assistance with my internet connection" meant. So, I gave up for the day. I'll block out a half day this weekend and try again. read more

What to say about Cable One.....nothing good, that`s for sure! To quote another review..."It is as bad as the reviews!" If you want customer service...look someplace else, McDonalds or Wendy`s perhaps. If you are expecting a short wait time when you call for service related issues after office hours(during business hours for that matter), especially on the weekends, have a good book or movie on hand or relax and take a short nap because obviously your cable or internet isn`t working.......you`ll have time trust me. If your expecting consistence, quality, reliable service from both the cable television and internet service provided by Cable One don`t expect to get your monies worth. And disregard the slight increase in your monthly bill here and there, they will insure you it`s necessary to provide you "With dependable quality service." or a "Necessary increase to keep the channel line up that all customers have come to enjoy". And touching base on the cost of the service provided by Cable One...my mom is on a limited fixed income and had to cancel her "basic" cable television service because she simply couldn`t afford it. Now,when your internet is down you can call the support number and wait on hold for a technician to help you. And while your waiting be sure to listen to the recorded message that tells you how you can go "online" and find solutions to help you trouble shoot the issue yourself. When their busy (again technical issues I`m sure and I can`t for the life of me figure out why so many costumers are calling at the same time) you`ll get a nice recording saying that they have a heavy call volume and to call back later...and then the system will abruptly hang up on you. Rude in most circles I`m certain but standard practice it seems for Cable One. I pay my bills on time each month and enjoy the services that, for instance APS provides me. I also know that, should there be a monsoon rolling through let`s say, the electric service might be affected. But,for the most part when I flip a switch the lights come on. When I open a faucet the water comes out. When I turn on the television to watch something or logon the computer to check my email it`s pretty much a crap shoot. Having said that....This review is strictly my opinion and most likely not subject to change. You may, although doubtful, experience different results. Long time Cable One subscribers voice your opinion....here and on Cable One`s Facebook page as well. It may not change things right away but might give the higher up`s at Cable One a little something to think about. As for me....when Cable One gets viable competition I`m most likely going to be one of the first to convert. To get cable television, internet, and the like from one source is the easy way to go. One closing comment...I give two thumbs to the many service techs I have dealt with on a face to face basis over the years. These individuals have conducted themselves in a very professional manner and never left until the issues that I was experiencing were totally resolved. read more

Me and my husband had cable one a little over a year ago the worst service on earth, we were on the phone troubleshooting every other week. We canceled service around 5 months ago at the time of cancellation we went to the office and returned the equipment and asked when we would be our deposit back and made sure we were all paid up to date. So we noticed its when quite some time and still no deposit came back so we called them and asked what the status is and they said we owe them $4 so we wont be getting a deposit back, we were completely outraged because we have had nothing but problems with this company from day one, and now this. They said they have been sending us a bill for this, we have never seen a bill for $4 EVER! So now my husband is escalating this and having this investigated. If your looking at reviews to choses a service go with centurylink, it will save you time and money. read more

Walk-in customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. You wait for 20 to 90 minutes with each person served requiring 30 minutes. Staff inexperienced and slowwwww. Web site is not really functional - constant re-sets can't ever accomplish anything..... bad, very bad. read more

And with us paying the high bill that we are, and me, having to rely on the internet for my job, Cable One has really been pissing me off lately. My daughter was in the hospital and when she got home, her cable had been cut off even though I had paid the bill one month in advance. It took two weeks for them to get the service back on because they wanted her to call them from her home to troubleshoot the problem before they would send a tech out to fix it. Even then it wasn't fixed for another week. No refund for the time it was off, of course. I have their payment set up with my bank for auto payments. When we started the acct the payment was due on the 11th and every month they received a payment on the 11th. Over a couple of years, for some reason, that date changed to the 10th and over a period of months, late fees collected to $50. - even though they always received payment on the 11th. One month they disconnected because she owed them the collection of late fees $50 - and they wanted $300-$600 (the figures were always different) to turn the service on again. Undoubtedly the worst customer service I have ever experienced and absolutely no regard for the handicapped. read more

I have been a Cable One subscriber for over 22 years...and I hate to say it but their staff always seems to be unfriendly and grumpy...I recently had left the state for 3 weeks and over looked paying my cable bill...I paid all my other utilities, but for some reason (old age) I was sure I paid the cable...anyway, when I returned home the next morning I'm watching tv and it goes off the air...I call, ask what the issue is and they let me know that my bill was over-due and it's been disconnected...I apologized and took full responsibility for the oversight...They required the past due paid in full, $90 reconnect fee, $65 monthly fee in advance, $25 deposit and the pro-rate monthly balance of $35!!!! That was over $300!!! Who has that kind of money for a CABLE BILL!!!! I couldn't believe it! I asked if they could possibly waive any of the fee's...No! Could I pay the reconnect fee in 2 payments? No! Even after all my years of service with Cable one, I could not believe they had no other options to assist a customer to at least try to keep their service....The customer service tech said she was sorry and that was the end of the conversation...I have heard that Direct Tv is doing well in my area and will seek their service as soon as I can... read more

It only got a 1 because thats the lowest it would allow! I worked late tonight and wanted to watch some tv, when I picked a channel i wanted i got an error code that said it would be available shortly, after six minutes of blank screen i called support. I was greeted by a very nice lady ( I understand its not her fault ) that tried to reset my cable box, after 10 minutes of steps i no longer had a cable guide and was informed it might take an hour to come back. Now here i am after a long days work trying to relax with some tv but apparently as far as cableone is concerned that means paying to stare at a blank screen for an hour. this is the only internet provider in my area of arizona but i am now looking at using my phone for internet. it costs around the same but is much more reliable and just as fast despite their advertised speed . 50 mbps download but it takes 25 minutes to download a 650 mb program. this company is a fraud and a joke read more
