I pay for their 300 Mps service and I have more problems with streaming than I had a 100 Mps. I biggest gripe is their recent gaslighting by canceling my e-mail service. So far, Sparklight has been a bummer. Their technicians won't enter a house to set up a phone line, television, or internet. It didn't even matter that the house had been unoccupied and never lived in. But yet, they still charge us for the little modem they plugged in the garage. So we have no phone line, barely have useable phones or working internet. Needless to say, during a time when internet and phones are needed more than they have been in years past... Sparklight is showing how much they "care." For an totally empty (and never occupied) house, why can't a technician put on a mask and be in and out of a house? Ridiculous. A technician entered our home without a schedule visit after a minor let him in. I called the company after asking the technician for his supervisors phone number and the supervisor was rude and unapologetic. Horrible business ethic and poor customer service. So when you hear the recording that these are uncertain times from this company, that's all you can trust. Uncertain at who is in your home when you didn't request it. Yes, the minor has learned a lesson and the technician was a nice guy but the supervisor, not so much. I talked to the company and they handled well. After reseting the modem and trying all the online fixes we set a appointment for a week later. Soonest they had. I was then told i cancelled my appointment by phone. I'd give -10 stars if possible. I called and was left on hold for over an hour. They told me the guy would be at my house between 1 and 5 to fix my mothers phone. As time went by and no one showed, I called again. They told me at 5 that my appointment was actually between 5 and 6. 6:30 rolls around and no one had shown up. I called and they proceeded to tell me that the service guy called me four times. This was NOT the case as I had my phone with my all day. This issue is very pressing (like I told them) because my mother's life alert is connected to the landline. When I called AGAIN at 6:30, the lady was extremely rude and would not listen to a work that came out of my mouth. So I hung up on her after telling them to cancel my service. A few moments later, I called again to speak to a manager. Was left on hold for another hour. On top of all that, my WiFi doesn't NOT work. I literally have to turn the WiFi off on my phone to be able to use my data. And when the guys (3 of them)came to hook up my WiFi, they didn't even do it right so I had to wait another week before a different technician could come to my house. I would NEVER recommend this company. I would also NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Have nothing but good things to say, I changed over from Safelink after a year of horrible experiences, including service interruptions, slower than advertised speeds, and constant issues with having repairs done before finally getting fed up with the lack of service. After moving to Sparklight I get my advertised speeds, no service interruptions to date, the install was professional and the tech and everyone I had dealings with were courteous and professional. And the bandwidth limits will force you to pay for speeds you don't need because they don't include enough in the slower packages. When you dial the local number, they answer it elsewhere. Then they waste a bunch of your time discovering that your account is managed locally, so they have to transfer you back to the local office - to the number you dialed in the first place - where you have to start all over again." I was told by one tech that the local office will call me and take care of the issue, that was last week, still no call. I've had them for about a months and all seems good. They were able to install sooner than CenturyLink - that's why we selected CableOne. Speeds seem good and I've got pretty good coverage. The installer put off the install for a few days, but otherwise all is great. FYI, 2 weeks after I had CableOne installed a couple of reps from CenturyLink came to the door with: a lower price, double the data cap (1TB) no contract lifetime price lock fiberoptic with 40 mbs upload/download speed (no latency) Clearly they are trying to take Cable One's business. It worked - I'm making the switch. No fault of CableOne, just superior technology and pricing. read more

Bought a house in the mountains and was transferring service (which unfortunately meant disconnecting and reconnecting from one owner to the next) Scheduling for a new connect was over 3 weeks out and only available on a Friday. I drove up early to make sure I was there and the tech did not show - I made 5 phone calls and at 6pm in the evening the tech finally showed up to install the service. The tech was nice and took care of the install but getting a hold of anyone or getting someone to call me back was an absolute nightmare. I hope I don;t have any issues as I am not sure I want to go through their 'service" process again as the 1st experience was not great - I do have service so that is the only plus currently. read more

Good service, easy to install, and when I needed help they are available 24/7. The customer service reps are easy to understand and very helpful. I tried century-link before them and I couldn't get it to work. But sparklight was simple and frustration free. Only problem is they suddenly raised my rate. The internet is really crappy, like so crappy id give it a negative number that doesn't even exist. I try to join a moderately good Roblox game and poof! My connection to the internet is gone. Sometimes it'll disconnect at random because fuck me. They were really good about setting up my house when I got here, it was really fast when first setup but now cant even connect to speedtest.net. read more

I called to get internet set up and , they were fast about getting us in ! My technician was Ulysses , he called before arriving , which was really helpful ! When he got into the home he was very sanitary and HELPFUL ! I could tell this wasn't just a job for him . He really was making sure it was in the best place for my home , he was making sure the signal was good ,asking questions to help make sure our needs were met . I have never had a technician like him before you can tell he was very genuine. Very impressed with your technician havnt really seen what the internet can do yet but I'm sure if there is any problems they will come get it fixed right away . Very pleased . I called the sparklight tech's for help with a 403 error. The gal I was speaking with told me to hold she was getting another person to help. When she came back on the line, I was informed All email's pictures and all saved files GONE. I wonder why she asked me to stay on the pone and she would get back to me soon. Yes she came back on the line to inform me I no longer had access to Cableone e-mail, deleted, gone. What kind of PILE of SHIT company, would delete your service, when asking me stay on the phone. She knew that they were deleting the service, but told me to hang on they were working to fix my service . I am looking for another internet service as I type this. read more

Holy Smokes, I wish that I had checked the Yelp reviews on Cable One before I switched from Century Link DSL to Crap Cable One internet service. You do have to hand it to Cable Ones AD department the got me with those great commercials touting how much better cable internet is better than DSL, NOT. Century Link DSL worked great, but their customer service sucked so I switched...bad bad decision. The Cable One Internet sucks, cannot have more than 2 computers one Internet at once and do not try watching your Roku, the whole thing locks up. I will be switching back to Century Link. read more

Go to the FCC and file a complaint. If cableone is petty enough to stop dissenting voices from being heard, they will never, ever raise data limits or listen to your complaints. this yelp site that Cableone wants us to comment on is a farce. They don't care about customers. They do care about squashing comments and opinions. I also dispise the low data caps, having to vigorously monitor my usage or be forced to upgrade to the next more expensive, but, not more helpful tier. I currently have 300GB, the next tier is only 400GB for almost twice the price. You don't even get twice the data! Hey Cable One, if you penalize us for going over the cap, how about a refund if we don't go over (don't use allocated data)? Or how about rolling our unused data into the next month until we reach a 1000GB limit, so we can use large amounts of data (streaming or gaming ) during the times your TV programming sucks? Cableone will never raise our get rid of data caps, it's there business model to make more money and to stop cord cutters (can't stream if you don't have the data). Complaining here is fine, but until Cableone feels pressure from a competitor (Google Fiber) or government (FCC), don't expect them to change. Comcast is just now starting to cap data, others will follow, Cableone is a leader in capping data. I want to start off by giving this company five stars for making a headache go away and making it right. Which is what customer service is all about, after not having luck getting our internet set up at our new home. And having poor cell service Bj over at customer service Mngment in Nampa got informed about my situation and after getting my appointment rescheduled twice they have the tech show up at my old home address which I didn't understand why. So he emails all the dispatchers about my situation and if they could get around to coming to my house today anyways. Bj informed me he would get back to me if he got lucky. And he did just that he called me back before 10min and let me know someone would come to set it up. And moments later I get a call from my original tech Daniel that he was on his way. The set up took over 30 minutes but he was quick and got the job done. Daniel even recommended some new electronics to maybe consider to get. So thank you Mr. Bj and Mr. Daniel for making my day off stress free about getting this finally set up. I can go about my day now to get other things situated at my new home. I've had cable one off and on for the last 6 years. Switching between centurylink and cable one. The two are literally the only reliable and best ISP's in the valley and it sucks. Cable one offers faster speeds, but with a weird data cap form that either you upgrade your cap or you don't get to keep cable one. Why have a data cap in the first place? They also have this weird habit where they turn to shit after 10pm and it doesn't get better til 8am. It's like they flood the servers with crap or turn off half the servers. I pay for my service 24/7 When you do try to call them it takes upwards of 45min-2 hours to get a hold of a representative. Honestly if I didn't have to go with cable one, I wouldn't. And with net neutrality out the window, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else comes in and takes the market. You guys are on a ticking clock, you had better make your service 100x better or you won't be in business much longer. read more

However the price has gotten outrageous. I called a few months back, but the woman I spoke to really didn't care if I cancelled or not. I just got my bill for this month. Another price increase! Now that I am forced to relocate for work, they are forcing me to pay for the remainder of the business contract, over $600! Only way to avoid that is to find someone to take over the contract. I have been so frustrated with fast, but very spotty wifi and have been on the phone with tech support many, many times over the last year. Most of the phone techs are great but today after getting disconnected from the tech in the middle of her trouble shooting, I got frustrated and had to call back and got Faye. She was able to get a tech out to my house today and that's where the GREAT story begins. Gabe arrived within an hour and since he had been to my house before he knew all the issues with the old wiring and exactly how to fix the issue. He was SO great and got everything fixed and done within an hour. He was so conscientious and took the time to wind up and zip tie the long cord and put the shoe booties on each time he went outside in the rain and came back in. I can't tell you how happy I am to have this year long issue hopefully fixed, once and for all. I've worked in Customer Service all my life and Gabe is the BEST. I would hire him in a minute to work for my company, if I had one, haha. If you live in Avimore, Eagle, Middleton, and need CableOne/Sparklite help, ask for Gabe. I'm actually not sure if you can request a certain tech, but it doesn't hurt to ask. He is GOOD. So friendly and accommodating. Thanks Gabe for your great service today. read more

One star is too much to give. I ordered Internet service and waited a week for installation. I request 3 possible dates and chose and AM installation time. Was notified by computer call that my date arrived and no one showed up after I took time the morning off work. I called customer service and they said that I could drive in and pick up a modem. When I arrived, they said I was given bad info and I could not pick a modem and get started. Best they can do is reschedule and I will have to take another day off work. I cancelled before I ever got started. Go anywhere else because their service is seriously lacking. read more
