Although getting through to them on the phone is agonizingly futile, we had a drop in our gigabyte WiFi connectivity and needed help. Since calling did no good, we drove to the Nampa office and explained our issue. The overworked assistant immediately arranged for their technical department to send someone to our home. NEXT DAY he was there, diagnosed our issue and schedule a crew to run us some new lines. In five days three Workers appeared ready to fix the system. Because our home is 15 years old, they had to run completely new lines under our lawn and tunneled under 40 feet of driveway. They were here three full hours in near-ninety degree heat. This is the fastest internet I've had! I've never had speeds over what is advertised with other companies. Getting 1,100 mbps download speeds on wifi is incredible, plus coverage through my entire home has been perfect. It's definitely needed with many devices and multiple security cameras. I paid my bill 7-10-25 just like I do the 10th of every month. The payment cleared my account 7-11, & sparklight acknowledged receipt of it 7-12-25. Yesterday 7-16-25 I received a message "just a friendly reminder that your sparklight bill is due in the next few days $280.45 (yeah that's what they charge monthly for cable without any premium channels & basic internet) due 19-jul-2025 & you have a new acct # !!! I called the # at the bottom of this stmt. they said to call anytime to talk to a dedicated team member-uh huh. No dedicated or otherwise team member, just this recorded message- " the call could not be completed due to technical difficulties." I then called the local office here in Nampa, Idaho, and 2 more #'s their sites said to call for help -anytime. I got the same recorded message each time at all of their SO-CALLED HELP #'s . Again today all of their anytime help #'s the same message. THE CALL COULD NOT BE COMPLETED DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. Time for a BBB complaint, and I will find out what other options I have to lodge complaints. This is ridiculous, & someone at sparklight better not cut off my service because they say my bill is due 7-19. My bill is paid in full thru 8-9-25. I needed internet service. The internet itself is great and the customer service on the phone was excellent. HOWEVER, the technician that came out to my house was unbelievably rude. His name was Rashad. He was sighing and obviously didn't want to be there. He asked if we had a power strip or extension cord so that he could plug in the necessary devices. We had only moved in a couple days before and did not. We didn't understand why he didn't have one if it was necessary for the service. We asked if we were going to need to get one and he said "if you want internet!" So my sister went to the store to get one and he came into the house and ordered me to call her and tell her to hurry up "because he had a lot of other work to get done". She was stuck in traffic. He became more impatient and irritated after the app wouldn't work on my phone. My step dad was trying to ask him questions and he would say things like "I don't know what you're talking about." He then left before the job was done and I spend another hour to 1.5 hours on the phone with a wonderful rep named Jocelyn to try and get the internet set up. The whole ordeal ended up taking about 4 hours. It was insane. I've never had someone be so bluntly rude and order me around my house! Then he didn't even finish the work. Just moved to the area and was stoked on using this provider. Sadly they have horrible customer service and have a huge lack of communication skills. No one showed up on my install date. It took 3 people over the course of 24hr to finally tell me someone messed up on their end for scheduling. To remedy the situation, I was told a phone call would take place to get install asap. Well. That never happened either. When I reached out to follow up (again and again) 3 days dealing with this issue, the ticket had been "escalated" and would receive a call in "15 min" of course.... Hours later no one called. I requested a refund which I got immediately. Centurylink will be providing me service asap and has better pricing. read more

I have been a user of CableOne, which is now Sparklight for years. Yes there have been times that I am not real happy with them, but over all, my internet service has always been great, fast and reliable, for over 17 years. I do not use their other services (TV, Phone, etc). Over all those years I have had to use service only 3 or 4 times. When I have it is the typical on hold for longer than expected, but they have been very helpful and solved my issue. I would say my last encounter with service over the last few days has been very much improved. The scheduled time frame was cut down to 1 hour, rather than the standing joke of between 7am and 5pm. I can now call the support number and have them move the time if the assigned time was not convenient. The tech that came out was highly professional and went above and beyond to fit my schedule. Gave me his contact number and was very patient with my needs. As to the problem, I thought this last issue would be an quick swap of the cable modem and off we would go. My internet was working just fine. We had experienced a power outage from a nearby accident and I thought that was related. But that was not the case. Found out that one of my newer neighbors that is upset about something and decided to intentionally remove all the cable connections to the junction box in his backyard. He had cut them all multiple times. Then he was not allowing anyone to enter his yard to make the needed repairs. It was Christmas eve morning, snow on the ground and below freezing. Our tech spent the needed time to get us back online without causing us additonal issues with this neighbor. He did a great job, was very professional, understanding, and very personable. He made sure we got up and running with minimal delay. He end up running a new temporary line to get us going. Luke H. went above and beyond to help us get our internet working. This tech was probably the best tech I have ever had that provided me service ever. No matter what industry, I was very impressed with his manner of approaching the problem and finding a solution. read more

The fix Gary made didn't get the job done, so today, Chris came out did some more testing and upgraded our modem. Chris was a great service rep... came in, was respectful and was able to work around my cluttered office with no complaints and upgraded our modem. It really boosted our Wifi service, however he said that there is some general service upgrades going on in the area and that could be the source of our intermittent issues and that someone would be out to check that out tomorrow... with hope that it gets resolved. You can't ask for better service than that. Chris's demeanor and willingness to upgrade without any question was great. I have never had this kind of service with any other utility in the past... gives me hope that customer service is alive and well in some companies. read more
