I wrote an earlier review about the tech not being here between 10am and 1pm as promised. He shows up at 2:10pm, looks the house over and says, "we didn't know you had a sun room." I said yes you did. I told Haley and even counted the number of windows for her. He calls the office, Haley calls me and says that will be $50 extra to do the sun room. I told her I wanted all the windows cleaned for the quoted amount of $150. She said she couldn't do it. BEWARE of this company! read more

They put on booties before coming in the house and when done with the windows they lined up each shutter exactly the same - now that's attention to detail! This is both an update and a response to James B's message (Sparkle Tech rep). James is correct--Sparkle Tech has never been to my house nor performed any service for me. This is as I stated in my review. The issue is the exorbitant additional fee they sprang on me the night before my appt. That rep was VERY rude from the get-go. The woman I scheduled with months earlier was very polite and I clarified at that time exactly what the fees would be and there was no mention of additional fees. No mention of this in the Groupon fine print either. It is important to note that I have since scheduled another company to come out. Their price includes sills, tracks, and screens and comes to $230. This is $10 LESS than the upcharge Sparkle Tech wanted to charge me! It is also interesting to note that there are 22 other one-star reviews, all with very similar experiences to mine, that have been filtered out! It always fascinates me when a company decides to go big, putting out an attractive Groupon, Living Social, SweetJack, or Deal Chicken offer....then they throw up all over themselves fumbling lost appointments! Sparkle Tech is one such company. I left several messages before scheduling, finally getting a live voice an nailing an appointment at last! Then, you guessed it, they NO SHOWED on me! I rarely give 5 stars but these guys and gals go above and beyond. We have used them twice now and I recommended to my parents after they returned after 5 months to have these guys come out, they did and are very pleased. They have done an excellent job and had them come back this week after last week's storms with their fantastic 7 day guarantee.. They missed a small spot and I called to ask what they used and I can clean myself but instead James insisted that they come out and fix it and that customer service was a main priority. The window washing itself was great. I should have asked them to enumerate all the extra things they charged me for. I was aware of the fine print and expected to be charged for extra items, However, they just gave me a lump sum of $70 and were reluctant to tell me exactly the composition of the extras (e.g., 7 screens, 5 tracks, 3 extra panes, or whatever!) - They seem to think it's ok to charge more than twice the original coupon cost without providing a breakdown. I have a feeling I paid for more tracks and screens than I have. While they charged me for cleaning the tracks, only a couple were actually done and then I had them go back to do them. However, they were done just so so. Two interior windows were skipped. They also would have left without replacing a screen in a window. They were 45 minutes late and never called to let me know. While I applaud the father for giving his older son the reins to run the job (and he did pretty well), he should not just hand the reins over and not observe, nor quality check the job. It is disappointing to me because i believe in supporting local businesses, especially family owned businesses. I attempted to converse with them thru Living Social merchant services and all they did was rant and accept no responsibility for anything. I'm sure I will be disowned as a customer as all other yelpers have been. that's great. read more

I seldom write reviews but this time I felt compelled. I thought the rude woman who claimed that she was the owner & could "do what (she) wants to do", was just having a bad day. I even called her back to give her some coaching since I truly want to support female entrepreneurs. She heartless thanked me, said business was fine and hung up on me. Really?! Clearly from these Yelp reviews (which I didn't see prior to my call with her), your business could be better. A company in the service industry is really only as good as the quality of their service, which includes customer service...which also includes your attitude! In this digital age which is also the age of the consumers, it baffles me that companies can be so arrogant and ignorant. Consumers have the power to chose where they spend their money, especially for services like "window washing" and if you can't differentiate yourselves or if you take common courtesy for granted, then consumers will chose to spend their money elsewhere. If it isn't impacting your business now, just keep on doing what you are doing... It will catch up. Lousy. I bought a groupon for 20 windows to be cleaned. When I called to schedule, the owner informed me it would be a $100 upcharge because they have to clean the tracks, and remove the screens. Its ridiculous that they would charge this much to perform this service. None of this is stated on the groupon. The owner started cursing at me and hung up the phone. Stay away from this merchant. From what I have read on google reviews and on the BBB website, this is not a reliable, ethical merchant. Take your money elsewhere. read more

I also had a Groupon. When I called for an appointment, they told me I would have to have the whole house done - not the 10 windows I bought. Many of my windows are behind heavy bushes so I didn't want them done. They also said they would have to do (and charge for) the gutters, rails and screens. I said I didn't want them done. They said they wouldn't come out unless I had them done. So basically this Groupon was a bait & switch. When I pointed out that this was not on the Groupon, they said that it was Gropon's fault. However, when I spoke to Groupon, they had no record of the company complaining about a lack of information on their Groupon which one would expect they would have communicated. So I question that statement by them. Fortunately, due to the large number of complaints Groupon had against this company, they refunded my purchase price. read more

These guys did a great job! I had my windows cleaned inside and out and they were a very professional, quick crew. It was more expensive than I had initially expected, even with a discount but given that I have a two story home I feel the cost is justified and completely worth it. I plan to use them at least annually to keep my windows, tracks, and eventually screens (when I finally get some) sparkling. I don't know if they normally move furniture away from the windows but I went ahead and moved anything that was in front of a window so someone could stand in between it and the window. Im assuming there's some sort of cost associated with having to move furniture, I wasn't told, but I also didn't ask. I would recommend moving it if possible. read more

Today we completed annual window cleaning at our Pine AZ weekend home. Outstanding again!! We use sparkle tech each year for our Fountain Hills and Pine AZ homes and love them!!! Professional, on time, great quality and fair pricing. AWFUL customer service. I had to call them several times to see if they were coming for my appt. Was told the "Tech" was running behind for my 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. appt. The "tech" was 2.5 hours late when he called. Had wrong address, wrong part of Gilbert. When I mentioned he would be more late, he told me to "CALM DOWN!" It all started when a rude person answered the phone and sounded disgusted that i purchased a Groupon Voucher for window cleaning from their company. The woman was very rude and inconsiderate. If I owned this company, I would have fired her on the spot. I understand when you advertise on Groupon, you will receive a lot more work, but don't be rude about it. Anyway, the company will not honor the Groupon Voucher without purchasing additional work. Nowhere in the Voucher or Advertisement does it state additional work must be purchased. The company blamed Groupon and did not care that they would be losing customers. Maybe that was their plan... I would not recommend this company to anyone because of their rudeness and lack of business ethics. Apparently, the company has complaints everywhere. I reviewed the customer reviews on the Better Business Bureau (BBB.org) website, and it seems this company has several outstanding complaints there too. Also, James, the Owner is very rude as well. And to the reviewer that gave them 5 stars. Nowhere in the Advertisement does it state you need to purchase additional work for them to honor the Groupon Voucher and clean just your windows. Sent out 2 guys to wash my windows. They missed several windows and screens and when it came to replacing the largest screens on my casita, the guy screwed in some screws halfway, bent, other screwed, lost one screw entirely, and didn't bother to line up the screens with the outside frames s the screens were crooked and had gaping spaces. When I called both guys attention to the poor job, the one who did the poor job gave me a look that would kill, while the other guy did his best to fix the problem. I had to have my handyman come the next day and fix the screens the way they were supposed to be. Mediocre job, at best, for the price paid. read more

I am saddened to have to write this review. I am a two year customer of Sparkle-Tech. I called to cancel my appt the next day as it was to rain for two days, and was told by the manager that there was a new policy and if an appt was not cancelled within 48 hrs, there would be a $50. fee. I certainly understood there "new" policy, but since I had not heard about this prior to my call, i didn't think I should be charged the cancellation fee. Being a long time customer, you would think that they would be inclined to keep my business by waiving the fee this time. But no, the manager would not. The crew would be at my house at 8am the next day or I would be responsible for paying the fee. Well, it is raining and no crew in sight. Sad that a business wouldn't value their customers. A year ago Sparkle Tech came and washed my windows and screens in my 2 story home. They did a great job. I paid $209, which I must say is a bit high coming from Northern CA and having paid $175 for the same size house. However, I was very pleased with the work the washers did. I called and scheduled for my windows to washed again last week. Haley, the receptionist, scheduled me and said she had all my info in the computer and gave me a date and time. The washers came as expected. This windows look good. My problem is with what we were charged today! I expected to pay the same amount or a little more as last year, however, we were charged $315!!!!!! I was never told this would be the rate. Had I known, I would never have hired them again. My husband paid them, but when I found out about this I immmeditately called the office for an explanation. I was told, by Haley, that last year I received the introductory one time postcard rate. What postcard?? I saw their truck at my neighbors house and got a business card from the window washers working there at thta time. Tell me now, why on earth would any sane individual hire a business again who is going to charge you an extra $100 plus for the same job??? The receptionist, Haley, basically told me tough luck. I asked to speak to her superior and she said no. I have met the owner and he was very nice. I believe we were ripped off. Haley is rude and unprofessional. Sadly this company doesn't want my repeat service. I tried to reschedule my appointment within a few hours of their 48 hour cancellation policy and they wouldn't budge.
