We were introduced to our DJ, DJ Daily, a few weeks before the wedding day, and together we walked through everything in detail, which gave us valuable peace of mind. DJ Daily was very experienced and detail oriented. He made sure all our requests were executed exactly as we wanted. The sound system worked seamlessly for our ceremony & reception speeches. Some of our guests are not dancy but we are pretty sure we've got great dance pictures thanks to DJ Daily's skill. Most importantly, our guests had fun! DJ Daily's timeliness and reliability were also a huge relief on such an important day, allowing us to relax and enjoy each moment. We were blown away by their presentation. We had interviewed a couple other DJ groups and were unimpressed by their lack of enthusiasm about working on our wedding. As soon as we walked in the door at Windy City we felt welcomed and that we had found what we were looking for. They have a demonstration set up so you can actually see what the lights will look like on your wedding day so you're not picking randomly through a package you can only visualize through description. They are also willing to crank up their sound system and show you their computers just to help you understand how it all works. He also said we could request any song and as long as it was available on iTunes, he would have it for us, with no additional charge. My (then fiance) husband was SOLD. I was contacted by the DJ we were going to be working with about two weeks before our wedding. He asked me if I had any specific requests. I did. About a week before the wedding I emailed him a specific list of songs I needed played during dinner and then a couple requests (as well as a couple of "if you play these songs, I'll shoot you" songs) for dancing. On the day of, I didn't even need to talk to the DJ once. While some people would think that is a bad thing, I thought it was excellent. The last thing you need on your wedding day is to have to worry about details and our DJ was set up and ready to go as soon as we needed him. If I ever need a DJ, I'll be using Windy City again!

They have a MASSIVE library of music from the 1920's until Today. Big Band, Jazz, Country (classic and pop), Top 40, R&B, Rap, Soul, Classic Rock, Glam Rock, Roots... you name it, they've got it. What's even better is that if (miraculously) they don't have something, they'll get it at no cost to you!! They have a few packages to choose including simple setups for just music to large setups including various light machines and other fun things. They have an on line area where you can setup play lists of specific songs or just genre's. Or you can simply just tell them what NOT to play. You can customize any part of the experience including how involved the DJ will be with your event. Anything from "just play the music" to "get the party started!!" They'll do whatever it takes to make sure that you and, more importantly, your guests have a great time. We hired them for our wedding this past June at Brookfield Zoo. They arrived on time and setup without any interference from us. They stuck to our play list and took some requests from our guests while being respectful of our "no play" list. The DJ took care of all announcements and was articulate and friendly. To be honest, I don't remember seeing the DJ that much even though we were dancing a good part of the night. That is the sign of a good DJ. You only remember the bad ones, right? Big or small... these are the guys you want spinning at your party. They are ultimate professionals and know their stuff. Since he told me to find another DJ I did just that so we were set with Jaz Entertainment (Carlos is awesome). A-List sent a DJ at 6:30pm along with John's sidekick to ask if we still wanted their services. They tried to get me to say I didn't need a DJ but that isn't accurate since I did need a DJ and that's what I contracted them for. John is still refusing to refund and I've filed a complaint with BBB. Fortunately someone else stepped up to save the event.

He was able to strike a balance that appealed to a wide age range (and taste range) and we were stoked to see so many of our guests dancing! From the get-go, he was super professional and went above and beyond. Printing and keeping the doc I created, and checking the full detail once he was on site would have helped correct a lot of problems..
