(I have a lot of experience talking people down from panics at work, and let me tell you, Lindsay's the best in the biz.) We had Mode Events do our wedding on May 20, 2017. DJ Chris was everything we wanted and needed for our wedding. He was invaluable in helping us create our reception outline, the music genres we wanted to play and the overall flow of how the whole reception went. He played everything we requested, from the crowd-pleasers and slow dance songs, to the EDM and pop songs. We met him several months before our wedding to get some general information about costs, uplighting, photobooths and other options. Then about a month before the wedding, we had a video conference call with him since we live in Cali, and we structured and broke down how everything was going to go down at the reception. Lindsay Gaeta was our day of (month of) coordinator. We booked her about a year and a half before the wedding and she made herself available when we had questions or were looking for recommendations. She helped us build a custom day of timeline. Some vendors may push the bride/groom to make decisions that benefit them, but Lindsay was there to support our vision and help the vendors to make things work. We had several Zoom calls to talk through any details or hiccups that may have popped up. Overall, she did a wonderful job and I am so happy I trusted her to make our special day flow together nicely. It is important to note that MODE does offer DJ and photo booth services. As a photographer, it really helps to have a planner who has helped the couple lay a great foundation for the wedding day so that I can focus on capturing​ the day rather than the logistics. Lindsay Gaeta did a wonderful job laying that foundation for a recent wedding I photographed at Greenhouse Lofts. She was continuously checking in with each team member and making sure all parties were where they needed to be at the times they needed to be there. As the owner of FIG Catering I have had a chance to work with many wedding & event planners and sometimes they "get in the way" more than being helpful, but such was not the case with Lindsay. She was an organized professional who helped keep everything on-track the day of the event while also knowing when to step back and let us do our job. If I could give a million stars I would.. if you want to feel freaking amazing about your wedding and have everyone compliment you all night long - then you have to go with Mode Events. And make sure you choose what you want for your final song, because your guests WILL still be on the dance floor when your venue turns up the lights and tries to kick you out.. Mode events provided the music (and so much more) for our recent wedding. They were amazing!! So easy to work with and so much fun! Leading up to the wedding we were provided with a very easy form to fill out and Rex went over it all with us to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted. We hired DJ Chris of Mode Events for our wedding and have nothing but rave reviews for him! I first learned of Chris because he was the DJ at one of my friend's weddings and he had left a great impression so I asked for his info. I'm part of a dance company and have a number of dancer friends so a fantastic DJ was in the top 3 must-haves for our wedding and Chris absolutely delivered. I consider myself very lucky to have found him because it wasn't until I researched and interviewed DJs for our wedding that I learned several did not have much (if anything) to offer you in terms of letting you at least HEAR what they can do. I know nothing can replicate a wedding environment and everyone's preference in music may differ but I at least want to know you can mix and handle transitions between songs because, as a dancer, I know how much that can kill a vibe if it's not done properly. It stunned me when other companies had no links to send me to anything their DJs could do. On top of that, I learned you would most often get some random DJ unless you paid extra to choose who you wanted. I felt like I was being blindfolded and asked to shell out lots of money for a who-knows-if-they're-any-good DJ for the most important day of my life. For some people you may not care about this, but for someone like me where music and having a stellar DJ were priority, I wasn't willing to take the chance... and luckily I didn't have to. I knew from my friend's wedding that every time Chris transitioned to a new song I wasn't disappointed to have the song end, but was super excited about what he was transitioning to! This literally happened EVERY. TIME. So it's no surprise that this is the same feedback I got from guests the night of our wedding. They said each time he changed the song it was to something better and better and they literally did not want to stop dancing. Chris knows his music genres (my guest's taste in music were very different from my husband's guest's and he successfully catered to both), he is excellent at reading a room, did a fantastic job MC'ing without any cheesy gimmicks involved and is just a professional through and through. He made some excellent suggestions regarding the flow of our ceremony and reception that immediately put us at ease before we even left the meeting we had with him. Everything Chris did was seamless and he helped make it an unforgettable and incredible evening. The music was on point and his integrity and generosity made our experience with Mode Events a phenomenal experience. We will always refer Chris to anyone needing a DJ. Lindsay Gaeta from Mode Events was our wedding planner and I would give her a 10 out of 5 stars if I could, she was absolutely incredible! We decided that we needed to hire a wedding planner because we were having some issues with our venue and felt that we needed some extra help to ensure that everything went smoothly and it was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. Since we already had most of our vendors booked, we hired her for Day of Coordination and for design consultation for Decor and Florals. From the moment I met Lindsay I felt completely at ease and was finally able to start enjoying the wedding planning process. Immediately once we signed the contract with her she began reviewing our vendor contracts and reached out to introduce herself to all of them. She took over all communication with our venue and helped us navigate some of the issues we were having. She went above and beyond with helping us with decor, including coming to my families house in the suburbs for the day to help dye linens and DIY other projects. About 2 weeks before the wedding, we found out the venue had double booked our rehearsal room which left us scrambling and Lindsay completely worked through a resolution with us. Throughout the entire process she was totally responsive and completely on top of everything. These are just a few examples of how incredible she was and I honestly could probably write pages and pages about the incredible work she did with us, but the bottom line is that I would recommend Lindsay to any bride. read more

We always knew we wanted a live band for our cocktail style wedding reception, but we also really wanted to enjoy some of our favorite dance music. I contacted Mode Events to see if they would be able to work with our band to make it the best night ever. After speaking with Rex, I knew Mode Events would be able to do this. He coordinated EVERYTHING with the band. They worked together with the equipment needs and set up/tear down plans. The transition between band and DJ/MC throughout the night was seamless. Rex was able to play the Chicago House/Hip Hop/90s dance music that we love during the band's set break and the last hour of the night. Our goal was to keep the dance floor full the entire night and Rex definitely made that happen.
