Best wedding DJ ever! Daniel DJed our wedding in April and we lucked out. My husband put together a list of of music that we like and from there, Daniel created a terrific playlist. He was able to strike a balance that appealed to a wide age range (and taste range) and we were stoked to see so many of our guests dancing! We had a great time working with him and it felt like he completely understood what we were going for and was happy to make it happen. From the get-go, he was super professional and went above and beyond. He accompanied us on a walk-through to get a feel for the space, he arrived early every time we were scheduled to meet, was tremendously flexible and helpful the day of, and was very conscientious. If you're looking for a DJ with excellent taste in music, who can get your reception going - Daniel is your guy! read more

Daniel Musisi - DJs Near Me

My husband and I were married back in March and had the honor of having Daniel as our DJ. Not only did Daniel keep everyone on the dance floor all night long, play our favorites, and create an absolutely memorable party...he saved the day! Ten days before our wedding we had to fire our original DJ and hire someone new. TEN DAYS!!! I was frantically calling any DJ I could find when I happened upon Daniel. He was responsive to my situation and wanted to help. We set up a face to face meeting right away. In a matter of days he learned our likes and dislikes, learned what was important to us, and put in the time to make it all happen. At our wedding, Daniel did it all and made the party happen. (No one would have known he jumped in at the last second!) We are forever grateful for Daniel and can't wait to hire him again for another party!! Moral of this story: Call him Superman, call him Batman, call him Captain America... call him whatever you want. JUST CALL HIM! read more

Amazing DJ! Daniel was a complete professional throughout the process. He setup up multiple meetings with us before the wedding to understand our musical tastes, and find out about the venue and wedding day. We were able to give input and provide a couple of specific tracks for first dances, etc. Day of, Daniel helped coordinate by keeping us on track with the music. Everything went off without a hitch, and he kept the guests dancing well into the night. Total pro, and would definitely use him for any big events in the Chicagoland area. read more

We're happy that we chose Daniel as our wedding DJ. We had a pretty tight schedule when we spoke with him, we didn't even find a time to meet him in person before the wedding. But every conversation we had via phone or email was delighted and efficient. He helped us on getting familiar with the ceremony and reception process, selecting songs and making great suggestions on our playlist. He understood our needs that we didn't want to dance too much and he did create the perfect and lovely atmosphere for the whole wedding. Highly Recommend! read more

We were at a friends wedding about a year ago and danced all night. We were looking for a DJ for our wedding and I told my fiance we should get the DJ's card. He already had it. It was Daniel and we are so glad we hired him! We met several times before our wedding to work out the music and he helped us with our timeline. The ceremony music, which we never practiced, was perfect. No awkward standing around while music continued to play after walking down the aisle and no awkward standing around waiting for the processional. His timing was perfect. The music the rest of the night couldn't have been better. He had everyone, from 7 to 70 on the dance floor at some point during the night. Highly recommended. read more

Daniel did a great job with our recent wedding. We met several times in the lead up to our wedding to plan out the event playlist and timeline. He was very organized and also gave us guidance where needed. On the day of the event, everything went as smooth as can be. He worked with the venue and other vendors to ensure everything was in-place. He did a great job with the music selection and executed on everything to the T. Highly recommended! read more

Daniel was such a pleasure to work with as a wedding DJ. The first DJ we spoke to became unresponsive and unreliable. Daniel was the complete opposite. He worked with our wedding playlist to make sure we got to hear exactly the music we wanted to hear when we wanted to hear it. And he threw in some tracks he choose to get the party started. Daniel created the perfect moods for the cocktail hour, the dinner and the dancing portion of our wedding party. I would highly recommend using his services for any special occasion. read more

We ABSOLUTELY loved Daniel! He was so great to work with throughout the process. We met up a couple of times before our wedding and he was very nice and attentive to what we were looking for for our wedding. He made the experience of having a DJ hands down a smooth experience. After our wedding we kept hearing about what an amazing DJ we had and that he was! The music is a huge part of the reception and he definitely met and exceeded our and our guests expectations! It was an AWESOME dance party! So, if you're looking for a DJ, look no further. Daniel aka DJ Moose is the way to go! Thank you, Daniel! read more

Daniel was an excellent choice as our wedding DJ. He really knew how to read the crowd and listened and played all of our favorite song choices mixed with his go-to selections...played all at the exact right time. He also edited our first songs so we did not have to be the center of attention for longer than needed! Daniel had the right look and personality for the job...you won't be disappointed! read more

Daniel is an amazing talent. We couldn't have asked for a better, more caring, and on it DJ/MC for our wedding. He loved our vibe and brought so many elements to the evening. He's caring, passionate about what he does, and puts the couple above all else. We couldn't be happier with how special of an evening it was thanks in huge part to Daniel. read more

I'll echo all of the wonderful things others have said about Daniel. My wife and I decided right out of the gate, based on our experience with Daniel, that we wanted him to DJ our wedding -- it was one of the first decisions we made, and it was absolutely the right call. He was easy to coordinate with, provided helpful feedback about songs we might want to use, and of course did an outstanding job at the actual event. He worked seamlessly with the technical staff at our venue so everything ran smoothly during the roughly 6 hour wedding and reception. And I don't know what metric others use to measure the success of a wedding DJ, but Daniel had my 85 year old grandmother dancing to the Beastie Boys by the end of the night, so you'll get no complaints from me! read more

Daniel DJ'd our wedding last month and it was perfect. I planned everything myself, and as much as I tried to put together an iron clad music list, the reality was that I was just too busy. I ended up offering some "suggestions" and then just handing the reins over to Daniel. Glad I did! My husband and I were so happy with his set, our guests loved it across all demographics, and the flow was perfect. He is also a total pleasure to work with, just eager to make the experience great for you and your guests no matter what the genres of music you prefer. He gave me lists that other couples had given him and they were all over the map, and he gladly accommodated them. Was really happy with this choice for a vendor! read more

Yup all the reviews are spot on. He is a great dude, with great taste in music. We hired him to DJ our wedding and he was incredible. Before the wedding we had a few meetings to discuss music choices and scheduling. But not only was his set TNT but he significantly helped guide the wedding. This is not something I was expecting him to do. Maybe its part of the wedding DJs job or maybe he just goes above and beyond? I have no idea as Ive never been married / planned a wedding before. I can say that his services were priceless. He kept the wedding party on schedule and his set people are still talking about. Want to have a great wedding? Don't skimp on the booze and don't skimp on the music. Nobody ever danced for hours and said they didn't have a good time. read more

When my husband and I initially booked Daniel to DJ our wedding in Washington, DC on March 2013, we found his rate to be slightly hire than your standard wedding DJ. I will be honest in saying that this initially made us a little skeptical. However, as we researched and met with other DJs, we never walked away with the same feeling of confidence or assurance that we had when speaking with Daniel. And when you have a very important event, that's the kind of feeling that you strive to have. You want to know that everything will go better than you could have even planned. I think my husband put it best when he said "I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I know that when we're booking Daniel, we're paying for something that we want to have". And that's exactly how it turned out. Our wedding guests ranged in ages from 4 to 90 and throughout the entire night, all of them were on the dance floor, including our teenage siblings! Daniel had something for everyone. When we first met with Daniel, my husband casually mentioned that a portion of his family was from Ghana. Being the thoughtful DJ that Dan is, he actually played Ghanian music at the beginning of our wedding and got the party started! We didn't ask him to nor did we know that he was going to do it. Those are the kinds of special touches that Daniel includes in your event that makes it unforgettable. Throughout the night, all of our guests kept telling us how great Daniel was. He not only played classic timeless pieces, but played current, soulful music as well. He even cared enough to consult us when the guests came up to request different musical selections. He wanted to make sure that we were cool with it. From beginning to end, Daniel consulted us in every aspect of the process. He wanted to know our must plays to our don't plays list. He made us feel as if he was DJing for the President and First Lady! If my husband and I ever come out to Chicago, we'll be sure and research where Daniel might be DJing. I guarantee you that you won't regret it! read more

Daniel was such a wonderful and accommodating DJ for my wedding day. My fiancé and I thought he did the best job curating the playlist to keep our families having a great time all night long! My wife's family is Jewish and my side of the family is Mexican and Daniel was able to weave both our cultures together seamlessly when it came to the music. He was incredibly easy going and laid back to work with and was able to work with some last minute requests we had as well. Daniel set up a few meetings with us to make certain the schedule and every detail for our big day went off without a hitch. He truly went above and beyond and anyone getting married should definitely having him there for your big day! read more

I don't leave reviews on Yelp and had never planned to, but Daniel is just downright unbelievable. My wife and I were married in December of 2013 and we were lucky to land Daniel. We are still getting compliments on the music that was played and it was one of the few weddings where I can say that everyone danced at some point. Setting up a meeting was easy and he walked us through what he does and what he expects. Like most DJ's he lets you pick songs/music you like or want to play, but here's the best part, he also judges the crowd and audience at the wedding and will cater music to make sure people stay on the dance floor. Literally, he defines above and beyond. He's not arrogant, self-centered, or too proud. He's honest and truly wants you to enjoy your wedding and the music. Here's the honest truth. There are many good, perfectly fine DJ's out there. But with Daniel, he literally takes the entertainment stress out of your wedding. If that doesn't sell you then I'm not sure what will. My wife and I were grateful to his services and we couldn't be happier. Still makes us smile to see everyone dancing. Daniel, you truly are the best in an overcrowded industry. Book Daniel if he's available or you'll miss out on an opportunity you can't get back. read more

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we had a very specific vision in mind: an amazing dance party for everyone who wanted to cut a rug, but enough breathing room for folks who wanted to sit and chat. Personally, I was in the dance party camp, but I understood that some people might want to "catch up" with each other. Anyways. Daniel delivered the absolute perfect mix that made it an amazing party. He was so flexible and accommodating. Everything that he played reflected what we envisioned. And when some game-day decisions had to be made on the spot, Daniel went with the flow without missing a beat. I would highly recommend DJ Moose for any party you are hosting. Daniel is superbly talented at reading the room and getting people on the dance floor - even if they didn't think they were going to be there in the first place. His laid back, yet totally professional style is exactly what we needed, and personally what I think makes for a great party. read more

Stunning! Moose is not just a master mixer with an ear to a fine groove and a fresh beat, he is a superb professional who gives you 5 Star Hotel style concierge service. We picked him to DJ our wedding because Moose's DJ style is intoxicatingly eclectic with the talent to mix seemingly disparate tracks, and take a whole dance floor on a roller coaster ride of a great time. He did not disappoint. I was worried that a star club DJ would be hard to work with, so i was extremely relieved with how smooth and easy he was to work with. Very accommodating. And the surprise bonus? As the wedding wrapped up at mid-night, with the party still wanting to go on, i turned to him in a panic. "Moose, what now? Where do we go?" he made a phone call to one of the most exclusive clubs in Washington, DC, and got 30 party people in with no problems. that's some ridiculous juice. Hire him. read more

We found Daniel through Yelp, and he DJ'd our wedding. He did an outstanding job. He met with us a few times before the wedding, and made sure to play all the songs we wanted while integrating other songs that were compatible with our preferences. The dance floor was packed throughout the entire wedding and all the guests had a blast. He was also very flexible and was able to adjust to crowd preferences on the fly. Daniel has a relaxed personality and is not the stereotypically over-the-top wedding DJ, which also was important for us. We recommend him highly if you are seeking out a wedding DJ who really knows music. read more

It was a pleasure to have Daniel as our wedding DJ. He delivered exactly what we wanted, and the dance floor was packed the entire night. We have no regrets! read more

My wife and I couldn't be more happy with Daniel Ssebowa Musisi, who DJ'd our wedding on 10/11/12. We had a few interviews with various wedding DJ's. One of whom seemed overtly arrogant; we didn't want that type of energy at our wedding. After we first spoke with Daniel, we knew he would be the one. He is very easy going - calm and collected and it's easy to see why he's such a highly rated DJ. Daniel made himself readily available at all times, especially in the days leading up to our wedding. We gave Daniel a list of our preferred tracks and trusted in his artistic inclinations as to what would mesh with the tracks we chose. The result was truly amazing. He had everyone on the dance floor, young and old throughout the evening. We received so many compliments on our music that day. Daniel is a consummate professional and I highly recommend him for your wedding. You will be happy you booked him. read more

I can't recommend Daniel enough as a wedding DJ. With the wedding industry growing at an exponential rate, run of the mill DJs seem to be a dime-a-dozen. What Daniel brought to our wedding was something I have never seen in all of my years of attending weddings. Unlike the cheesy DJs with their top-40 CDs and popular playlists, Daniel has a breadth of musical knowledge that clearly shows a long history as both a DJ and a music fan in general. As a music buff myself, I was amazed at his ability to transition from bop and cool jazz during our cocktail and dinner hour to funk, soul, and hip-hop when it was time to break it down on the dancefloor. What is most remarkable about his selection of cuts was Daniel's ability to read the crowd throughout the entire wedding, whipping the old and young alike into an up-tempo frenzy, and then recognizing when it was time to slow it down and let a more romantic vibe take over the entire dancefloor. Aside from his unparalleled musical taste and collection, Daniel was a consummate professional - working with out of state vendors to ensure that the proper equipment was ordered and delivered on time for the event, and working with the bride to make certain that everything from his "plan of attack" to his wardrobe fit into her overall vision of what turned out to be a fairytale wedding. I was happy. She was happy. And most importantly, our 150 guests were happy. When it comes time to renew our vows you better believe that Daniel will be behind the wheels of steel once again, ready to rock the crowd and create more memories. read more

Daniel did a fantastic job dj'ing our wedding! The cocktail hour and dinnertime music was spot-on, and once the dance party got going everyone had a lot of fun. We got lots of great feedback from our friends but also from the older folks, too. A true sign of success. We would highly recommend him for any event! read more

I have a phrase for when everything goes as well as you could have imagined "You remember what happened to the boy who got everything he wanted? He lived happily ever after". This is how I feel about Daniel and his work. We hired Daniel for our out of town wedding. My husband and I have worked in the music and theater industry for years and could have easily cobbled something together, but we realized that on our special day we needed someone equally as awesome to take charge of the vibe, jive, and energy. I do not have adequate words to express his kindness or talent. We are eternally grateful we found him. Please look no further and place your trust in Daniel! read more

We are really happy that we chose Daniel as our wedding DJ. We had a multicultural wedding and really wanted to find a DJ who could play both Indian and American music. But, we really didn't want the DJ to play just the typical Indian or American wedding songs and wanted him to somewhat customize to our tastes. We met with a couple of other DJs for our wedding who seemed like good DJs but pretty much had their wedding playlist set and walked us through the music they tend to play at weddings. With Daniel we really felt like he customized the play list to us. He didn't really go through any typical play list at our first meeting. He shared a sample play list from a previous wedding and said that he has played in lots of different settings, is comfortable with various types of music, including international music, and could play anything we wanted. We gave him a selection of some Indian and American music that we liked, told him names of some artists we liked, and he took it from there and everything turned out great. He went out and found many of the more unique songs we requested. He also set up the sound system for our outdoor wedding and stayed in regular communication with us throughout the process. At our wedding, he had the DJ table decorated with some old album covers of Ravi Shankar and other Indian artists - we really appreciated that extra touch. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience with Daniel and would strongly recommend him. read more

I hired Daniel to DJ my wife's 40th birthday party and could not have been happier with his work. He arrived very early to make sure all of the venue's equipment was properly working and ultimately had to guide them through getting things in order since they did not seem to have the expertise, his music was great (which I'll get to below), and he even stayed late when people were having fun and did not want to leave when expected. Daniel was very professional and in touch with me multiple times leading up to event. He did a fantastic job of setting the right tone with the music for the early part of the evening during cocktails/dinner and then building into more and more dance music as the night went on. He seamlessly worked in a number of my wife's favorites but also was very creative with his own selections within the genres we had in mind, which is what we were looking for - not just someone to play songs we would select. It was clear that he had put in real time to preparation. Several of our friends commented on the great music and were asking to somehow get their hands on Daniel's playlist for the evening. I would happily work with Daniel again. read more

We've been married a year. And I'm not sure any of our wedding guests could tell you what they ate, but every single one of them still talks about how fun and amazing the music was at our reception. Daniel made it happen. He's truly a terrific DJ. Not only was he responsive to our requests, but he anticipated things we didn't even know we needed -- like music to cut the cake. Who knew? Well, Daniel did. Because he is reliable and experienced. This is a man who can read the vibe of an eclectic group of people. He managed to get our oddball cousins, college buddies and parents' coworkers out of their seats and onto the dance floor. They did not stop jiving for the rest of the night. And no, it was not the booze. Talents aside, Daniel is just a nice and pleasant guy. He put us at ease during an otherwise hectic day. This is the DJ you want to help you celebrate life's big moments. You want him to create the soundtrack of your friends' and family's big moments, too. He's just that good. read more
