We hired the DJ Firm this year for our vow renewal and reception. We actually had the DJ Firm DJ for our small wedding last year, which shows how much we enjoyed them! We had DJ Sho (Jose) this year as our DJ - we also rented the photo booth and cold sparklers through the DJ Firm. DJ Sho did a fantastic job of keeping our guests on the dance floor and the party going! To no fault of Sho's, there was an audio hiccup but he was able to recover and pick the party back up. The cold sparklers were a hit - we added them on last minute ourselves -I highly recommend them to anyone even remotely considering them!! In terms of the process of selecting songs and lining things up, the site that the DJ Firm uses makes it really simple to do so. One thing to keep in mind when booking is that the style of most of these DJs is not to play full songs but to mix into and out of songs (fairly) quickly, so you will want to make sure that is your style before booking. It definitely kept our guests engaged and on the dance floor! The only thing I wish was that there was two photo booth attendants included as for a portion of our evening there was no attendant around, so guests were left to their own ways to ensure enough photos printed. However, DJ Firm helped ensure we were able to get copies of all of our photos! Tip: make sure to have something available for them to put the extra copy in ! We had missed that there wasn't something provided by default. I highly recommend the DJ Firm and their crew for all of your event needs! read more

Within 15 minutes of the reception starting, we had SO many people coming up to us telling us this was the best wedding DJ experience they've ever had. No one wanted the party to end, the dancefloor was packed the entire night which was our goal. We have the most fun group of friends/family and every single one of them had an absolute blast. The only reason one of our friends left the dance floor was because he ripped his pants from dancing so hard. People are still texting us about the DJ/music. We will recommend you to everyone we know so we can have even more amazing nights like Saturday. We can't thank the DJ firm enough for the energy and joy you brought our group. The saxophone was an absolute electric hit and everyone is still raving about that too. Out of this world performance from DG Sax & DJ Sye. Such an iconic duo of extremely talented gentlemen. They made the night one that every single person in that room will remember forever and ever. We just can't thank you enough read more

If you are planning your wedding and looking for a DJ, book The DJ Firm. There is a reason they have nothing but 5 star reviews! My husband and I had DJ Jem and he was phenomenal. He listened to our needs, got everybody on the dance floor, and most importantly, he noticed when people enjoyed a certain genre and continued playing it for a little while. The entire process was flawless--from speaking with Ruben about what we could expect and our options, to getting to know Eric (Jem), and setting up our final details with Sarah--it couldn't have gone better. Our photographer/videographer have been doing weddings for 10+ years and they said DJ Jem was the best DJ they have ever witnessed in their career. We couldn't agree more. Actual footage of everyone enjoying themselves thanks to The DJ Firm! read more

We had DJ Sye at our holiday party a few nights ago. Totally awesome!!! He made that party rock!!! He was able to catch the vibe of the audience, and knew exactly what to play. I didn't give him a play list either. He just somehow knew! Almost everyone came up to me to say he was the best DJ we had at any of our functions. They told me to hire him again. We will for next year. As a matter of fact, I'm booking him straightaway after the holidays so nobody else gets him! I also have to add Mia, who worked the photo booth, did an awesome job as well. She knew what and how to capture a moment between people taking the photos. They were happy and have a wonderful souvenir of the event. Hiring her too! A MILLION THANKS TO SYE AND MIA ON A JOB WELL DONE! read more

All I can say is that hiring The DJ Firm for our wedding was one of the best decisions we've ever made. DJ Daily and his crew had our guests on the dance floor the entire night. Our guests were raving about him during the wedding and the entire next day. Even before our wedding, Sarah was so helpful in the planning process and what to expect. Highly highly recommend The DJ Firm for your wedding!! read more

DJ Daily was incredible. Just got married 8/24/24. No one left the dance floor all night like. 10/10 experience

DJ JEM!!!! OMG. My wedding was a BLAST because DJ JEM was so on point (keep in mind my now husband and I are not huge dancers). DJ FIRMs portal is great and easy to use. The firm took the time to seek out all our (my now husband and I)' s wants and needs i.e. music selection and dance floor vibes. Ruben, the DJ FRIM event coordinator/account manager, is so sweet, easy to talk to, and well organized. DJ JEM is professional, laid-back, and crowd pleasing. He made sure that I (the bride) approved all guest requested songs ... which were few because he knew how to keep the party going... he cares about his clients! Guess we will have to have a big one year anniversary party so DJ JEM can rock the dance floor again! read more

Working with the DJ Firm was so easy and convenient. DJ Hannah was suggested for my wedding and she could not have been anymore amazing. She created the exact party atmosphere I was hoping for. She was also having a great time! So many of our guests and friends asked if she was a personal friend because of how intune she was with us, the day we planned and how much fun she had! DJ Hannah also checked in and used inclusive language as asked to ensure all our guests felt comfortable. So grateful to have been able to work with DJ on our special day and I highly recommend DJ Hannah to anyone looking for a great party! read more

The DJ Firm knows how to throw a party and an event! Even during this time, you can follow them on twitch and they have livestream Dj's I was lucky enough to go to the office last night and see the Dj live because of my friends birthday party so it was really great to see that. I've seen them before on different neighborhoods with some music just to get people through the day especially during this time. Highly recommend read more

We hired the DJ Firm for our wedding on 5/4/19. When we first found them we were able to listen to samples from each of their DJ's on their website. They were all amazing, but we loved DJ Jem's (Eric's) mix the most. From our first interaction all the way to the actual event, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Eric and his colleagues at the DJ Firm. They are all professional, accessible laid back and friendly. We were never left wondering if our needs were being met, as we had several phone calls over the months leading up to our wedding, plus an in person meeting. In addition, we were given a login to their website in order to input all of our specific music requests (must play, don't play, ceremony songs, etc). Above all, DJ Jem did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job entertaining our guests for the entire evening. We received countless comments from our guests that he was the best wedding DJ they had ever seen (we agree!). Hiring one of their DJ's gets you a real professional/entertainer, not just somebody who will run a playlist. They know how to keep the event's schedule on track, read the crowd, and mix music flawlessly. If you're on the market for a DJ for your wedding or other event, look no further; these are your guys!! read more

We really enjoyed working with The DJ Firm. Our DJ understood what we were aiming for and kept the crowd on their feet during the reception. The planning process was very easy and enough support was offered that we never felt unsure. read more

DJ Firm team and DJ Jem were AMAZING to work with! We had our wedding 3/5/22, and all of our guests RAVED about the music! DJ Firm was so great at coordinating our vision and song choices, and navigating through pushing our event from the previous year. All of the songs and transitions were PERFECT, and I (bride) danced the entire time! read more

We hired DJ Sye Young as our reception DJ and Patrick Jasper as our ceremony musician. I cannot begin to explain how perfect they both were, and how much easier they made our day. We had Patrick alternate between guitar and saxophone and it set such a relaxing mood for our outdoor wedding at The Honeycomb. He is an extraordinarily talented musician. He even learned a new song just for us. Between Patrick and the audio tech, we didn't have to worry about anything during our ceremony. DJ Sye Young had the dance floor packed the entire night. I don't know how to describe it, but he is absolutely different from your standard wedding DJ. He has an innate ability to inject life into the party. He involves the crowd, he plays hit after hit after hit, he jumps between genres, and he never stays on one song for too long. He has his finger on the pulse of the crowd all night. On a personal level, Sye is the ultimate hype man and will make you feel like the coolest person in the world at your wedding. He's someone you just want to be around because you know he's got your back and that's going to make you feel completely comfortable. He even showed up to our ceremony at The Honeycomb to see how we were doing before he set up for the reception at Galleria Marchetti (which is several miles away from The Honeycomb). Looking back, we think he was the most important vendor that we booked for our wedding. The DJ Firm is worth every penny. People will talk about your wedding every time they see you if you book The DJ Firm. Do everything you can to make sure they're behind the booth at your wedding. You will not regret it. read more

I typically don't write reviews--I know I should, because I'm forever making decisions based on them--so I wanted to take a second and give The DJ Firm its due credit. I came across them on Yelp, go figure, and from our very first call I knew they were the group I wanted for our event. From the open communication to adhering to our every need, Eric (our DJ) was both punctual and professional. Our event had around 140 people, and everyone had a blast. Thanks again! read more

We used Eric and The DJ Firm again this year! On behalf of the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Foundation we wanted to share this excellent review of Eric and The DJ Firm - in relation to our Autumn Affair Gala. I highly recommend The DJ Firm for your next business function or event! Working with The DJ Firm was an fantastic experience from start to finish! He guided us through the entire planning process and not a detail was missed! Our dance floor was full all night! We had so many positive comments on the music and fun Eric provided! We have already locked The DJ Firm in for our gala next year! In addition to DJ services - they offer so much more that we took advantage of: lighting, screens - they have it all covered. It was so nice to work with one vendor and person for these type of things. Book The DJ Firm! read more

The DJ Firm made our wedding reception amazing! Our guests have called it both an "epic dance party" and "the ultimate dance party" and they are not lying! They engaged the crowd, and played a wide variety of music, keeping tons of people on the dance floor! I HIGHLY recommend them! read more

We had the DJ firm at our wedding, and DJ Sye was AMAZING!! Even before the wedding, we fell in love with Sye when we met with him when my mom was in town. He was extremely organized and kept us on track through the wedding process. We had all ages at the wedding, and he was a crowd favorite across ages! My friends dad made a point to come find me during the reception to tell me that She was the best wedding DJ he's ever heard - and he's been to a lot of weddings! Thanks for making our day awesome! read more

The DJ Firm will definitely be the "go-to" for any future parties I host! Super professional and able to play all genres to suit everyone's music preference at our corporate party this year. DJ Sye Young was very friendly and professional and look forward to working with them in the future! Thank you so much to the DJ firm and DJ Sye Young for KILLING IT at our party!!!! read more

Hands down, The DJ Firm is the best! From the initial contact with the company, to the phone and in-person meetings with DJ Jem himself, this company was professional, punctual, and extremely helpful. DJ Jem was hands-on throughout the process, and he made me feel completely at ease with all of the planning. Our wedding reception was the best party ever, and I have DJ Jem to thank for that! Our friends and family have not stopped raving about the music, and how he moved from musical genre to genre, and era to era, so flawlessly, creating an amazing energy for all ages. My husband and I cannot stop saying how happy we are that we made the decision to go with The DJ Firm, and are so fortunate we had DJ Jem at our wedding! Best wedding vendor decision ever! read more

Two days after our wedding and we are still getting calls from our guests about how we found this DJ and how amazing he was. He didn't just hit the play button like most DJs he mixed the music and it transitioned perfect. Erik you are amazing thank you. Your company and team are a real class A operation. You make weddings that much more special. Keep doing what your doing and thank you again. read more

TOP NOTCH. So professional, detail-oriented and seriously brought the party. We partnered with the DJ firm to host the most killer Marathon Cheer station (accomplished) and people were blown away by the jams. Eric was awesome. Thanks guys! read more

The DJ Firm was recommended to our company (a private equity firm) by the Director of Special Events for Rick Bayless' restaurants, so I had a feeling they'd be pretty legit! Communicating with Eric (aka Jem) was easy, informative, and enjoyable. DJ Swiss Kid worked our party and was fantastic; professional, kind, and talented. Overall, we were beyond pleased with The DJ Firm and highly recommend them to anyone for any kind of celebration! read more

Eric and Ruben were very professional, answered all emails and calls quickly, and did an outstanding job at our corporate awards dinner. Eric played background dinner music, was the Voice of God for announcements and introductions, and was spot on with his timing for the walk up/off awards music. The DJ Firm was outstanding!!! The level of service and the talent behind this company is one of a kind. They have every detail down to a T!!! We are not only a new married couple that had a dream wedding last Saturday but we also kicked off the opening of our new Wedding Venue and Event Space Row24 Chicago. We sat down with The DJ Firm in the planning of not only our wedding but the production aspect of our space. Erick and Carl had our backs in that department. The music background they both have is top notch and they really know how to please a crowd. The amount of organization and professionalism is also so comforting when planning an event with so many moving parts. The software they use and the planning aspect they provide was so helpful! The versatility they have for our very diverse crowd was epic! They also made us a custom monogram that was projected onto the wall that was stunning! It illuminated in all of our pictures and it really made the space! They provided the ceremony music and sound as well and it was seamless. We are so excited about a very successful friendship and partnership with these great guys that we know will make our clients events just as amazing as ours was! Thank you guys for all you do! read more

We had DJ Kyle Conley in June for a graduation party. Needless to say, he absolutely killed it! Kyle is SUPER friendly and so easy to work with prior to your event. On the night of the event, Kyle was professional yet so fun, he had so much energy and read the crowd with ease to ensure everyone was on the dancefloor the entire time. Everyone was raving about the party which is the ultimate goal! Myself and Big City Bride (the company I work for) would HIGHLY recommend him for any event! read more

Kid Clay was amazing! He had everyone on the dance floor begging for more!! Thank you!

We heard about DJ Firm doing free 30 minute pop ups around Chicago, so I contacted the firm and booked our pop up for last Sunday. It was amazing, the DJ's are awesome. They go all of the neighbors on their porches to bust out their best moves, strangers walking or driving down the street to do the same. We were so impressed with their professionalism, energy, music selection, and how engaged they were, it was infectious. My neighbors loved it, something we all needed amidst the sadness and sorrow all around us. Music is universal, and makes people feel good and forget their troubles. Thanks to DJ Firm for doing this for our block. You rock, see you in the future when we are able to have block parties again, we will be inviting you back to entertain us again. Be safe, you are simply the best. read more

The DJ Firm, specifically DJ Sye Young and Ruben the account manager, were friendly, professional, and helped to make our fundraiser a success. The music was exactly what we wanted, and they both made the entire process seamless. This was not the first time we've partnered with them, and it definitely won't be the last. Thanks again for all of your efforts! read more

We hired The DJ Firm to do a private party in April '18 and were very pleased!! Eric was very easy to work with and communicated well and often throughout the whole process. DJ Jem was awesome - knew just how to keep the party going on the dance floor. We got many compliments after the party about how good the DJ was. We highly recommend The DJ Firm! read more

I have worked with several DJs from The DJ Firm including Sye Young, Jem, & Heavy. They have performed at various events including weddings, corporate, and private parties. All are masters in their field and personally in my opinion the best DJs in Chicago!! I have to applaud them on their ability to problem solve. In this industry you never know what might happen. They are quick on their feet and are very cabable of pivoting a situation to keep the schedule on track. They are professional, organized, and most importantly they can get a party started. What I love most about this group; is that each one of them, are extremely passionate. They don't just show up and play music. They do their research, perform, and watch the audience's reaction. They become in sync with the guests; and at the end of the night, the audience always wants more. Highly Recommend read more

The DJ Firm is one of my favorite companies to work with! We hosted Eric Sampson and Edith Yokley for our chocolate event on February 21st and it couldn't have gone better! The music was exactly what we had envisioned and I couldn't be happier with their amazing service! read more

We planned a very last minute graduation party and The DJ Firm happily jumped in to make our party even better! We had a budget to work within which they also helped out with by suggesting different services they could offer to keep the cost down. DJ Sye Young was insane! We provided a pretty big music list with lots of variety so he had a good idea of what we were looking for. He took it from there and had the whole party participating and dancing till the last song. He also joined in on a few of our dances too! We would do it all over again this weekend if we could. I highly recommend them! Very professional and so easy to work with. read more

We wanted to skip the cheesy wedding DJ and stuffiness of a band for our black tie June 2015 wedding. After initially firing another DJ company we chose to go with the DJ firm. We were so pleased with their service. We were able to secure one of the hottest Chicago Djs, Dj Sye young. Our wedding was non stop dancing with great production value even featuring CO2. Everyone remarked how fun the wedding was and the DJ firm really helped achieve that. They were responsive, attentive, and just a pleasure to work with. I'd highly recommend. read more

I have been working with the DJ Firm for over a year and have had them at numerous events for undergraduate student events with the University of Chicago. Prior to working with the DJ Firm, we regularly had negative feedback about the DJs at our events, but since working with them the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We have events all around the city and they always arrive on time for set-up and keep the event lively until the end of the night! Highly recommend them for the DJ Firm for your next event. read more

My wife and I loved working with Eric (DJ Jem) at the DJ Firm for our wedding reception. He was organized, insightful, and fun! We truly danced the night away! We definitely recommend for an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. read more

Cannot say enough great things about The DJ Firm & DJ Sye! I didn't have a lot of 'must-have's' for my wedding, but the one I was dead-set on was having an off-the-chain, non-stop dance party on the dance floor. I knew I didn't want a typical wedding DJ, I could NOT hear SHOUT one more time after attending 10 weddings last year... so after talking to a few friends, The DJ Firm's name came up and I reached out. I was so happy chatting with Sye leading up to the day because he really understood what I was going for. You have as much control as you want over which songs are played because they have a client portal (so cool, great for control-freaks, like me). Come wedding night, our dance floor was JUMPIN'. People didn't want to leave to dance floor in case they'd miss the next awesome song that was played. We had the time of our lives and that is due to Sye being a master at reading the crowd, and playing what the people want. Couldn't have asked for a better night! Thanks DJ Firm! read more
