If you're looking for a professional, affordable, and easy to work with DJ, then DJ Wrek is your guy. I hired him for my uncle's wedding less than a month prior to the event and luckily he was able to lock in the date and meet our budget as well. Life saver! He's well versed in all genres of music and he will cater to your specific audience. In my case, it was an older, ethnically mixed crowd. His musical selections and timings were perfect and very much enjoyed by all of our guests. He was very respectful of the bride's requests, which we were all thankful for. I'm glad I trusted these Yelp reviews when I was searching for a DJ :) read more

Jason (aka DJ Wrek) recently DJed our wedding and I cannot say enough amazing things about him. From start to finish, he was responsive and flexible. He met with us at times that were convent for our busy schedules and provided planning documents that got our brains focused on how to get him the information that he needed to make our event so successful. EVERYONE commented on how amazing the dj was and the music was spot on for our very diverse crowd. Additionally, my 7 year old daughter kept going up and requesting songs. He was considerate of the ones we wanted play and made sure that her songs were also included. He was patient with her and literally ran the wedding more smoothly than I could have thought. He was also very understanding that the venue gave him a really short amount of time to prepare and never made me feel like it was going to be a problem. I will definitely consider him for any event in the future and cannot thank him enough. read more

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding reception. DJ Wrek is an efficient communicator, which is priceless when planning a wedding. Down payment was extremely reasonable and he accepts quickpay! Most importantly, we received numerous compliments from guests that our dj was awesome. He had everyone dancing, from our older relatives with salsa and merengue earlier in the night, to our cousins and friends with hiphop, trap and reggae later in the night. He knows what he is doing and we highly recommend you book him now! read more

DJ Wrek - DJ Wrek did an amazing job with our small, outdoor reception. - DJs Near Me

My company hired DJ Wrek after talking to several people. He was fantastic. I emailed him after reading a few reviews and he got back to me with a quote right away. We hired him for a corporate holiday event at a River North restaurant. He brought all of his own equipment, was super prompt, and very professional. I shared with him the vibe we were going for at the party (basically start out classy cocktail and read the room to figure out when to amp up the jams.) He did an EXCELLENT job of doing exactly that - as people got more comfortable (which may or may not have matched the increased level of drinking) he increased the volume and played songs that got everyone dancing. He was so good, in fact, our CEO asked to extend the party by another hour. (I also must note that he was a great sport when a couple of our staff wanted to do a surprise choreographed dance to The Backstreet Boys. Even though it was to The Backstreet Boys AND included a feeble attempt at "the worm" he didn't bat an eyelash.) TL;DR DJ Wrek is awesome. You should hire him. We likely will again for our next event. read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WREK!!!!!!! I hired Wrek for my best friends wedding on May 16, 2015 and from the beginning he was as professional as they get. He went above and beyond to make sure that every expectation was met. He had amazing equipment which made the sound impeccable. The bride chose the music for dinner which was the opposite of what Wrek is used to spinning but the moment he was given the green light to freestyle everyone was impressed and enjoying the music. My advice to anyone who hires him for any event, let Wrek freestyle and you will definitely enjoy what he spins. This is not the first time I hire him and once again I wasn't disappointed. As stated, highly professional and easy to work with. Thanks for making that night memorable Wrek! read more

I've been fortunate to attend some of DJ Wrek's nightlife events, and he's always on point keeping the crowd jamming. I recently hired him for a community event and he did not disappoint. He was very professional and responsive to all of my questions. He was told that there would be a diverse crowd (ranging from young children to senior citizens, urban students to corporate senior-level executives) and would have to plan music to accommodate the entire crowd. The only requirement was that the music had to have edited versions. The day of the event, he arrived on time. After unloading his equipment he began the party. He played a diverse mix of music that did not stop. We got great feedback from everyone, staff, community members and other attendees. We are already looking to book DJ Wrek for future events. read more

DJ Wrek dj'd my wedding and he was SUPERB! My wife is Mexican. I am gringo. It was very important to us that our music selection reflected both cultures and that we could get both sides of the family dancing at the same time. DJ Wrek did a fantastic job on making that happen! His professional expertise and clear communication prior to the wedding also helped us relax on our wedding day. We only gave him a short list of specific songs and a basic idea of what types of music we wanted and when. We then trusted him to put a set list together that would work and he delivered on that. Another thing I really liked about his work is that he kept the dance floor packed by transitioning quickly and cleanly. Our guests are STILL raving about the great music and party from our wedding and my wife and I will remember that special day for as long as we live. HIRE DJ WREK. Especially if you're looking for a bilingual, multi-cultural DJ who will keep the dance floor packed. read more

Jason/DJ Wrek is a total pro - a talented DJ, responsive and courteous communicator, and an eminently reliable businessman. He DJ'ed our wedding reception and people were getting down all night. He played an encore that resulted in a big group hug on the dancefloor. The dude is 100% good vibes. He handles his business as you'd expect a 5 star vendor would. Trust these reviews and let DJ Wrek take care of the jams at your next event. read more

I recently got married and hired DJ Wrek as the official DJ for my wedding at the Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue. I can you that he is extremely professional and does an amazingly great job at his craft. I appreciated the fact that he offered a timeline for my wedding with music to support every significant moment. We had a live sit-down and went over the songs, timeline, and expectations. There was a peace within me and my fiancée that knew that he would do a great job. I had an intense and hectic schedule and so did my fiancée while we were planning, but DJ Wrek was flexible in accommodating our availability. Two days before the wedding, we had a conversation around midnight to wrap up final details. Among all the stress that we faced, the music was the one thing we faced the least amount of stress over because DJ Wrek made it convenient for us to talk and made it better because of his professionalism and preparation. He came prepared with songs and an understanding of what we expected and wanted for our wedding. During the portion of the wedding, the music was on cue for every aspect of our wedding. There was a moment that wasn't mentioned to him about a dance, but he was able to improvise with the right song choice. I really appreciated it, because it allowed us to keep the wedding fluent and consistent. He was fun, entertaining, and professional. Thank you very much for your service! I hope that you continue to prosper and that many people get to have the same encounter that we had at our wedding at their events as well. Again, thank you! read more

DJ Wrek/Jason is amazing. He was hired for my wedding and he did an above perfect job. My wife and I love music so having the perfect DJ was important. Thank god we picked him. From start to finish Jason managed the reception. Played the perfect blend of music to please everyone and as the night went on he continued gauging the crowd and adapted the music to them. There was people dancing all night long. The music was so good there were guests from another wedding nearby that crashed ours caused the music was so good. I keep hearing the same line from people that attended my wedding, "You had an awesome DJ." Also was great in his announcements, made the guests laugh a few times. Super easy to work with and down to earth. Extremely professional and organized. Thanks again Jason for making it a perfect night. read more

We booked DJ Wrek for our big fat mexican wedding. We were not dissapointed. DJ Wrek had everyone on the dance floor from our ten year old cousin to our 89 year old grandma. He even had the wait staff dancing in the Kitchen. The dance floor was LIT as the cool kids say. DJ Wrek was very personable and worked well with us and our wedding coordinator to make sure the "program" ran as smooth as possible. He stayed on our schedule and was a pleasure to work with. read more
