Many towers to climb and you feel safe with the harness. The instructions to remove and add the safety supports on every climb is a bit to get use to but there are two to three people who is always around the floor to assist is helpful. I highly recommend that you get there as early as you can cause the later you get there you can be waiting for your turn as there is many people that came two to three hours after we got there. The cost is reasonable to hours of fun climbing. There are some activities like the giant slide which is an additional $3 to experience.

Quite impressed with the offerings this place has. Great place for kids 6 and older to play and burn off energy. There are many different climbing walls, climbing structures and suspended walking ropes. It is a nice change from trampoline parks or indoor playgrounds as kids get to do all sorts of climbing. It is a pretty spacious facility. Each child is put into a harness that at every structure or activity, they will latch themselves to another harness so that they are always connected when climbing. The kids had a blast and it was nice that there is WiFi that I could work. The employees are pretty friendly and helpful as it can be difficult to hook up to the harnesses at each activity. Pricing was $20 for an hour, $28 for 1.5 hours or $34 for 2 hours. You can sign the waiver online as well as reserve a designated time to save yourself time when you walk in. They also have packages which include food.

I would like to give 5 stars. But alas... My daughter really liked this place. She had fun playing there. But I wasn't very pleased to be there, because it was difficult for me to breathe because of the dust that was everywhere. This place is for children, please wash it properly.

One word, Gross. This place is the opposite of clean. Has not been mopped in months. Dust everywhere. Bathrooms remind me of the bars in college. Watched a pile of barf get kitty litter, then WE as patrons had to block it off as kids walked right through the mess. Now imagine those kids going back into the climbing area, which they did. They came back out and swept the mess....and then let it sit there for this lady to take a seat and relax. Oh, then some kid was sucking on the strap to his harness. I doubt those get cleaned if the rest of this review was any indication. Other than that, this place is great and a fun concept!

Skyscrapers section- definitely a favorite amongst the kids

Climbing area, most kids need to be somewhat supervised. My 6+ year old kids were able to figure out how to latch and unlatch themselves after 2-3 times, some would get stuck occasionally and they had workers everywhere helping before I could even get to them. High ropes course is very doable, but my kids and their friends were a bit scared of the height. Cave area has a requirement for helmets which they provide with a cleaning spray... don't know how well the spray works, but we risked it. Jungle gym was a super fun padded play area. Lots of areas to climb and crawl. Must be 8yo and under to use. Safety: loved how the entire climbing area is padded. My older son would let go and land in the group in a laying position jut because he could. Masks required and reinforced by staff throughout the premises. Lots of hand sanitizer stations throughout, but they smell GROSS! Used my own. I was told the whole climbing area is made with antimicrobial material, and deep cleaned every evening. And it was fairly clean considering how many people were there. Experience: Had my daughters birthday party here today. We have been here before and have always enjoyed our time here. With the new restrictions with food service and everyone In the party needing to be vaccinated, I opted not to have food at the party instead of having the awkward conversation with my kid's friends' parents. They gave me very reasonable options for the birthday party and we ended up extending our gym time and foregoing food service and spending time in the party room singing happy birthday, passing out individually wrapped cupcakes for the kids to take home, and doing a craft. The service was great. Our party host was always available to us and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. She graciously did the orientation/training portion 3 times for late comers and had a great attitude the whole time. Will absolutely go again.

love this place. today was the first time my 6 yr old has been here. i guess it was quite obvious and the nicest employee, isabelle was so helpful! I also noted the bathrooms were nice and clean (a MUST for a 5 star review from me) my kiddo was apprehensive at first. but we are definitely coming back. we purchased the 1.5h prepaid online reservation and so worth it. time flew by in the blink of an eye! We will DEFINITELY by back *****i hope the owner is reading this, as i have seen you responding to previous reviews. pls commend isabelle who was working the main climbing area at 10:00 today, 06/30/21 for her immediate detection of my shy first time 6 yr old and being so genuinely kind to my kid

There’s one area for them but think there are other better places for 3 years old. Funtopia great for 5 and up imo.

A big variety of climbing walls/areas, the rope course is challenging (even for an adult) and the staff/supervision was very good.

I would say if you happen to be nearby with a young toddler, stop by and let your kid release some energy and gain some fun playtime. It's a small venue. Parents get to sit down on comfy couches and watch their love ones play. I would say some parents there were too comfortable and they were on their phones while the kids were left unattended for a little bit... Anyways, all I wanted to say was that parents may take a short break to catch a breath. There are a theater stage, a walkway leading to a small slide, climbing obstacles, a fun selfie station and an infant playground. There is not much else, so don't make a long trip coming here. There is a designated stroller parking and shoes are asked to be taken off. I saw most kids do that, yet the parents were walking with shoes on. I wasn't sure what the policy really was. Certainly everyone's shoes should be dirty enough and shouldn't be worn on this relatively clean area. Our 2-year old toddler had fun. There is a tree house downstairs in the mall for kids as well, free of charge. I found this mall pretty boring and noticed a good amount of vacancies. I think they started some type of renovation or expansion. The restrooms were quite clean and maintained, with toliet covers provided. "Northbrook Play" is completely free and anyone is welcome.

We came here with some friends who also have young kids. The parents hung out on the comfy couches (enough room for us and much more) while the kids ran around and played. There's no staff on site, so I'm amazed how well they keep it clean. There's things to climb, a slide, a stage for pretend play. Not too many interactive activities like at a children's museum per say, but my kids just needed a place to run and climb around. There are certain times of the day it's closed (for cleaning I'm guessing). We came at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon and had the whole place to ourselves. It was luxurious. I'll definitely be back again.

I was very excited to scope out Playroom Cafe. Playroom Café is the perfect spot for a play date/mommy coffee date, with their small cafe menu that offers coffee, small bites, milkshakes and a shockingly semi-healthy kids' food menu. The area is bright, clean and inviting, with plenty of space for adults to relax while the children explore. I love that I can see my daughter from any angle of the seating area. Solid European song selection as well, I can't even tell you how peaceful it was to not have to listen to children's music for two hours. They offer semi-private and private birthday parties and have a super cute private area to help your littles celebrate! I will definitely be adding Playroom Café to our regular rotation and for possible birthday ideas in the future.

"Playroom Cafe" is officially added to my list of children's cafes, even though it is a bit farther away from where we live. "Playroom Cafe" is located on the second floor in the Randhurst Village outdoor shopping area. The admission fee for each child is $17, with 2 adults allowed. The layout is nice and adults can supervise their kids with mostly unobstructed view while sitting down. Food offerings mirror the typical cafe items you can find in most places. Shoes are required to be off inside the cafe/play area for everyone. During our visit, we saw the staff who did a great job keeping the venue clean and things were picked up from the ground in a timely manner. They were also working on setting up a private, members-only party when we were there. Therefore, there was a plenty of people working and serving the patrons on a Saturday afternoon. Our boys had an awesome time releasing their energy and enjoyed the waffles and berry smoothie. My partner and I took turns to hang with them at the play area, which was nice to share responsilities while finding time to relax and sipping a cup of joe. We probably will be back at some point because the drive to Mount Prospect is quite long. Nevertheless, we like "Playroom Cafe" and will recommend for patents who are specifically looking for kids-centric cafes in Chicagoland.

I've seen Fit City Kids, having lived fewer than two miles away, but this was our first visit and it was great. The entrance fee wasn't bad, especially since one can stay for the full open play time. They have several different areas for play. There is a basketball court area, a play soccer field, gymnastics space, and an indoor playground. There's also a small area that is specifically designed for children aged three and under, although we were told that kids can play in any section (except for the bounce house, which is for the private parties). Our one year olds mostly played in the soccer area, having fun just running around. There's one half of the place where you can wear shoes or not (the basketball/soccer areas) and then in the other half you may not wear shoes. There are one or more party rooms in the back of the facility. (I'm not sure if they overlap parties or not; there were four happening on the day we were here.) Food is not permitted in the facility except for in the party rooms or in the front "lobby" area. They have a few snacks for sale, and based upon the water I bought for my babe the prices don't seem ridiculous. I really appreciate that they don't appear to have any restrictions on bring your own snacks and water, just asking that you respect the areas in which you can eat them. They don't have a water fountain (unless I just wasn't looking in the right places) so bring your own drinks. One downside is that I found only one changing station in the entire place. Don't look for it in the women's room (or probably the men's room, either, I'd expect) but in the individual gender neutral bathroom. With the number of children who might be here at any time and the age ranges they welcome, I was really surprised to see just the one. On the other hand, it was an actual changing table rather than a station that is bolted into the wall and folds down, which always make me a little nervous. They also don't have much space for parents to sit. There are some tables in the "lobby" and a few benches outside the various play areas, but it might be difficult for someone who needs a chair/seat, or someone who's disabled, especially if they want to be closer to the activity areas and keep an eye on their children. Another thing they need to work on is the parking lot. Their parking lot is really large, especially for Lincoln Square--and it's free!--so that's all to the good. Ideally they'd have straight parking spaces since that allows for the most spots; the lot is a bit narrow, so they've opted for diagonal with a few straight. But they need to paint the lot! Driving through this lot was difficult because people parked like they've never parked before. We will definitely return. There are several indoor playgrounds around and I'd like to try the different ones that offer entrance to kids as young as mine in part so we can figure out which are our favorites. But after my experience here I imagine we may be purchasing a membership in the future.

At the entrance, they have tables/chairs and many cubbies for shoes/coats. Make sure you have socks as shoes must be removed in most of the play areas. A waiver needs to be filled out in order to participate. I liked that you could do a paper version, use a tablet, or scan a QR code and do it on your phone. That helped the line move fast! They have a little toddler section, a basketball court, soccer area, gymnastics area, and slides! So, there's something for littles and the big kids...and they are sectioned off. There are benches in between all areas for parents/grownups to sit. The party room has an area to set up food and then the area with tables. I loved that it was a private event. I'm assuming this is an available option after hours, as this party was at 7PM. My daughter had so much fun and wants to have a party there now. If we were in the area, we'd love to check out their classes and other offerings. They also have a free parking lot which is a huge plus in the city!

I've never seen another attraction like that. There's also a large play structure with stairs and slides and a zipline and tunnels and such. Another area has the popular giant foam building blocks. There are two large inflatable-surrounded trampolines. Next Level has a small play area for very little kids - the other attractions are probably too tricky unless your kid has a great sense of balance and agility. I appreciated that they had a small air hockey table available for $1 per play. The larger air hockey table is $2 to play. The seating area has mostly large picnic-style tables. Everything seemed very clean and well maintained. The bathroom even smelled like cleaning products, which is a great sign. The price is reasonable, but I docked a star because they don't allow outside food. The perfect play place allows for snacks to keep the kiddos fueled up.
