We loved our play date at Mini City! All day play (?) is $15 and we had a blast playing for hours. They have tons of different areas, including kitchen, laundry, grocery store, public transportation, train table, etc. They also have climbing areas, slides and a smaller baby area! We were first inside the day we went, so everything was neat and clean. The only reason I docked a star is because online it says they only allow in kids who have registered ahead. We called all day and no answer! My friend wrote to them on IG and they said just show up. They open at 9:00am, I called when we got there at 9:30 (per instructions on the door) and the lady said she would be there at 9:45 so give her a couple of minutes. I imagine due to covid they're short staffed / don't have as many kiddos going in, so it didn't deter us much, but just something to note. We would still happily return! Everything seemed old and small i don't understand the hype? I was a guest at a party and it was hard to watch the management continue to scold the parents and the kids. My mother approached the play area with shoes but did not enter and was scolded... She was not planning to enter. After watching the way the management treated their clientele, i would not recommend. I think what this owner needs to recognize is stomping around in stilettos like Miss Hannigan from Annie isn't an appropriate way to conduct business with children or an adult who chose your venue to host their child's party. There are companies that will bring play areas to your yard. Check instagram. I had a party for my child at a gym where we had a company drop of a beautiful play area same rate way more hours of play. read more

I had my son's first birthday there, and although the space was affordable and local, my guest and I were disappointed by the condition of the facility. My son's birthday was 2 weeks after Christmas and when I arrived to set up, there were still some very sad looking Christmas balloons out that I had to ask to be removed. They also did not have a high chair with a tray so I had to send my husband back home to grab our high chair so we could have a place to hang the baby's first birthday banner and put his smash cake. There are no more private rooms anymore everything gets set up in the main space. The floor was dirty when I arrived so I had to ask for it to be tidied. There were also random objects (like a crate and a broom handle for example) that I had to ask to be removed. Part of the counter is being used as a work space so it was frustrating to see so much clutter knowing that this is the only space for sitting and eating. My guest and I also found the play area to be dirty and unsafe. Inside the baby zone, there were very small styrofoam pellets (maybe from a broken stuffed animal?) that my friends were attempting to remove by stuffing them into their own pockets. My husband also picked up a broken ornament and both of us picked up several wire ornament hooks. By the ladder, there is also a loose plug that runs along the side, that multiple children grabbed and pulled on on their way up. The worst part was, half way through the party, the smell of cigarettes came wafting through the place and several guests came up to me to ask if I smelled it too. At the end of the party, I was told (not asked) to have my HUSBAND take out the garbage. I really struggled with whether or not to write a review for this place bc I don't want to hurt a small business. However, unsafe conditions at a children's playplace is a big no-no in my mommy book. I would not recommend hosting a party here. read more

So glad I found this hidden gem for my 19 month old granddaughter. The owner takes extra time in providing a clean safe environment without taking away play fun. A little eating area is provided in the event your little one needs a snack. This will be our winter hangout for sure! Attended a 3rd birthday party here yesterday and the owner was extremely rude. Every guest who arrived at the party she asked them, "So who are you?" In a loud and accusatory tone as if they weren't supposed to be there. These were party guests arriving with children. Not only was she rude, she complained about the children being loud despite this being a children's party and play area. She kicked us out at the end when we were in the middle of cleaning up then complained about everything not being clean. If I could give 0 stars I would. The owner is horrible and most likely racist. Late post for Halloween event: my daughter and i attended a open house for a new playroom thats open to the public, Nov 6 2017. DJ & entertainment was on point; DJ got the children dancing to chicken dance & every line dance music inaginable! He also played 80's and 90's music that some adults participated, including me! The dance area had mirrored walls and a 2 sided window for viewing & seats to relax as well. Complete with a "bouncer" stamping hands upon entry for little kids. I felt i was entering into a night club or bar! Light refreshments (fruit punch, Filipino 4 seasons drink, bottled water) & snacks served (chips, cheese balls). Desert of cake slices was served too. Even Roassti's pizza! Coffee was also served. Also, a pretend play of the neighborhood, dolls and toys, a section for rock climbing, and a section to watch a projected movie kept my daughter busy and entertained. Although there was a rubber mat for the rock climbing, I felt there should be a few helmets as an option for the extra protection. There's also a room with a tv and few sofa seats for parents to lounge for a bit. Children's book for kids to sit and read. This establishment is mostly Filipino owned and on a busy intersection. Very cute play space. My girls loved every aspect of this place, including the gated baby section (when there weren't any babies playing). Their favorites sections were the cafe and hair salon. Compared to other play spaces in the city, Mini City is very affordable at $10 for one kid and $8 for a sibling. Another big bonus is that Mini City is regularly open on weekends. read more

Celebrated our kid's birthday party there. We had 80 guests. I would highly recommend it. Kids had a blast. This place is clean and spacious. The party rooms are great size for entertaining. No other indoor playground / party place in the city compares. Bathrooms are clean and kid friendly. One of the things I admire is that the owner is always in the floor to help. We have gone here almost a dozen times and have always had a good experience. Recently, on one of the hottest days of the year I thought the place would be packed but we were one of only four families there. It was perfect. They recently added a Mini CTA display with a plastic ball pool. Fun times. I wish they had a bouncy house to help wear out a toddler/pre-schoolers unlimited energy, but I understand that space and costs make this unlikely. It's still a good deal. Your pass is good all day and you can leave and bring back food (you have to eat it in a separate section of course). read more

Here's the best part, there is a bar that you can sit at and watch the kids play at. No alcohol which is appropriate considering the venue, but free coffee. We've been here a number of times for open play, a birthday party, and most recently for their Easter event. My 2 year old had so much fun! They had the Easter bunny where you could take your own photos, arts and crafts, snacks, a dance party, Easter egg hunt, balloon drop, bubbles, and of course access to all the toys, all for the price of admission. There was a great turnout, but not too packed for the kids to run around and have fun. The staff is also so nice and welcoming. My son did not want to leave at the end of the event! I really like this place. Its nothing wow because its not a large space but it does its job. First off you need to be buzzed in to enter the place which is good because you dont need just anyone entering. Mini city on 21 is room with a ton of toys and couch or two for the parent to watch their child destroy the place from ALL angles. It has everything and anything for a large array of ages. There are toys for 8 months olds and toys for 4 and 5 year olds. There is a restroom within the room and some outside. Of course you are not allowed to wear shoes but what parent doesnt appreciate that. The place is clean and perfect size. I brought my laptop today and did some work on it because they offer free wifi. Its only 10 bucks to get your child entertained and you can stay as long as you need, unless they have a private party and in that case, they will kick you out. My children loved this spot as it has different age group toys. The staff seemed attentive and out of your business which can be a good thing when you've got an angry toddler having a temper tantrum. They've got couches and seats so parents can watch over their children and recline back. We went for a birthday party which was wonderful! It was 15 degrees outside so I decided to take 5 of my grandchildren to the new Mini City on 21 (21 stands for route 21 = Milwaukee Ave) The price was a little high but we got our money's worth because we stayed there 4 hours. The kids really had a fun time playing in the mini kitchen, mini food store, going down the slide, climbing the mini climbing wall, playing on a teeter totter and mini roller coaster, playing with Legos, Barbie dolls, costumes and most of all, playing with other kids. There were plenty of chairs for moms and grandmas to sit in while their children were playing. There were a lot of mats on the floor to protect the kids when they fell (which they did at time from running and falling from the climbing wall). The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the tiny Lego pieces that ended up on the floor where babies and toddlers could pick them up and put them in their mouths. So it's important to keep a watchful eye while you're there. Especially if you have an adventurous 3 year old who decides he wants to climb the mini climbing wall which is about 7 feet high. read more

They're are so many different areas for the kids to play with.. whether it be the climbing wall or the pet vet or the dress up station or the Lego table there is something for every kid.
