Our kiddo had a fun time! It's not as gargantuan as some other playgrounds, but they have a baby and toddler area, and it's multi-story so there's a lot of climbing and sliding. They also have an area with a bunch of riding vehicles, and most fun of all was the ball room. I thought a place called ball factory would have more...balls? But the ball room is basically a room with air cannons that let you load and shoot these soft play balls around the room. It's surprisingly pretty fun even for the adults to fire off a few rounds. And as someone who has been to a few of these indoor playgrounds, I'm grateful you don't have to buy their proprietary socks. Like I went to one place that wanted grippy socks - and we had grippy socks, but they weren't theirs! Some places need better insurance policies I guess, so I'm glad the Ball Factory isn't insanely strict. What's also nice is there's a Polish grocery next door, so I grabbed a few items while my wife stayed here. Our only gripe is there could be more seating in the play area for us parents to catch up on our phones, but at least the food area has a lot of space. And kids even get a free ball on the way out! Overall I think we'll come back, but we'll be sure to eat lunch before and dinner after since outside food isn't allowed.

There is a designated stroller parking and shoes are asked to be taken off. I saw most kids do that, yet the parents were walking with shoes on. I wasn't sure what the policy really was. Certainly everyone's shoes should be dirty enough and shouldn't be worn on this relatively clean area. Our 2-year old toddler had fun. There is a tree house downstairs in the mall for kids as well, free of charge. I found this mall pretty boring and noticed a good amount of vacancies. I think they started some type of renovation or expansion. The restrooms were quite clean and maintained, with toliet covers provided. "Northbrook Play" is completely free and anyone is welcome.

Adults are required to wear socks and adult-size socks are available for purchase if you need a pair. Otherwise, things are business as usual. My partner and I bought our two boys and got the siblings discount (regular admission: $19.99, sibling discount: $17.99, as of 06/13/2026). First of all, before I wanted to mention how much fun our munchkins had, the iced cold brew hit the spot! That was exactly what I needed. Then it was time to order some food, their cheesy and prosciutto/arugula Flatbread were the carbs I needed to overcome the buzz of iced cold brew. Our kids and my partner devoured these quickly and efficiently as well. We were there for solid three hours or so and our kids play every station, from mini rock climbing to musical/metal/transparent slides. They briefly mingled in the baby area and realized that that space was reserved for toddlar under 36 months. With that said, my young could have stayed yet he wanted to chase his bro...lol. The environment was clean. There was a birthday party going on but I didn't bother us the unrelated patrons at all. Unfortunately, driving to Hoffman Estates was a quest and the gas price hasn't been that friendly for a casual mini road trip like this.
