I held my daughter's baby shower here. They supply the chairs and tables. We arrived 45 minutes early to set up everything. This baby shower was in November so we used their large indoor room. There's a big outdoor area that would be amazing for a summer event. The price is very reasonable. read more

We attended a celebration of life here. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very attentive. It was very clean.

Walked all over this park on a sunny Sunday morning with my sister! This place is around 10-15 minutes away from my house and I know people who've been to it, but I never got the chance to check it out! It's a small, quaint park perfect for walking with a circular path along the park. There's 2 jungle gym parks for kids across the field, as well! My sister and I did countless loops since this park is a bit on the smaller side. The parking situation is great, too - there's plenty of parking available by the conservatory and the park. The little conservatory was closed when we came, but I definitely wanna come back and check it out! The park's trail goes right by it. There's also a church right next to it, so I saw cute old couples and families with kids still in their church clothes walking around and playing at the park. I'd definitely come back here for a picnic at the park, a nice stroll, or to check out the conservatory! read more

This place was so beautiful! I loved all the plants and fountains! My friend had her 50th birthday party here and it was so nice. Very nice venue for a party! There was a room with nothing but plants and fountains. Great spot to take pictures! The bathrooms were clean and there was dance floor in one of the rooms. This venue was spacious and I recommend checking it out for your next event especially if you love greenery. read more

We had a wonderful time celebrating the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital volunteers! The venue has a newly renovated banquet room and we loved the patio and the green room. It's like being in a tropical place! Yessica was great to work with helping us with the layout and logistics, and the staff were helpful setting up and taking everything down. Often, I need to get out of the office at lunch and being that I'm saving for a wedding, going out to eat for lunch is not my first preference. When I want to get out of the office and eat my paper bag lunch, this is my spot. I love going here. No one bothers you and no constant phone ringing. I love it!! This park has frequent walkers strolling through on their lunch break or just to get out of the house (you can tell by looking at the people). There is a park where moms and their kids play on the slides and swing sets. There is even a jungle gym. If I wasn't pushing 30 and no one was looking, I'd climb my ass up on that jungle gym in about 2 seconds! They have a tennis court with two courts from what I can tell. I am not the expert in this department. Being that there is a grade school or middle school across the street, there are frequent gym classes and dodge ball going on in the big main field. I am kinda pathetic and sit in my car and eat lunch with the windows open and only get out to toss my garbage in the cans surrounding the parking lot. But, it gets me out of the office and this is my main goal. There are some benches, but for some reason every time I end up over here, it's windy or raining, so these are not ideal weather-related circumstances I want to eat in. Being a dog-mom, myself, I love the all the people walking their puppies, or "babies", as I call them. There are a number of people that come here just to walk the dog. It's kinda nice. If we lived closer this would be a good spot to bring our boy, Jackson, for a little doggie walk, but I'm ok making it my lunch hideout. I'm not looking forward to the winter months when I can't come here and enjoy it as much as I do in the Spring, Summer and Fall. read more

This is a BEAUTIFUL park with great tennis and basketball courts! The foilage is gorgeous and there is PLENTY of activity to watch if you're just a park-stroller! Located off of Algonquin Road... Hope to serve you there...with a tennis ball : ) read more

This is such a pleasant, peaceful place to walk around. It is well kept, both indoors and outside. From the conservatory, you can walk paths that lead to the park itself. My only issue is that it would be great if it were larger. read more

Beautiful park with a nice jogging trail. There are 4 tennis courts which is why I come here. Everyone is pretty friendly and understanding when my balls go flying in their court. Yes, I suck. Sometimes there are guys playing soccer on the courts and it's fun to partake. Sometimes there's a wait but people are usually pretty accommodating. read more

This place isn't much of anything. Walking by the pond is dangerous it is a very steep slope. Inside, the atrium takes 15 seconds to walk around. My friend and I counted. I was disappointed. They have nice orchids and I stopped and gently smelled the chocolate one. Then out of no where some old lady in a blue sweater and glasses yelled at me for smelling the flower. She then mumbled something about those are her flowers. She claimed I pulled the flower to close. I hardly touched the flower. There's even a sign that says " don't hurt the flowers they have feeling too".It was a very bizarre experience. The courtyard has chipped paint and looks tired. I'm surprised this place is open daily. It's a pretty depressing place. I'm sure at night it's ok for a wedding but during the day it has nothing to offer. read more

Such a lovely area. I walk through here often and soak up the natural surroundings. The park has a path, a playground for kids, baseball field, tennis courts and a fountain. There are a couple of picnic benches that look like they'd make a great lunch spot. read more

Friendship Park Conservatory was truly a beautiful venue for my June 2014 outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. The grounds and courtyard are stunning. Pat was great to work with, and they accommodated all of my wants and needs. I would highly recommend this venue to others. This little gem is set back off of Algonquin Road and I have driven past it countless times during my 12+ years of living in Des Plaines but never stopped to see what the facilities or grounds actually looked like. However, when we started planning our wedding and had a time window of 4 months before the date, we got really lucky that this venue was available. The conservatory inside is beautiful and the grounds outside are well-manicured and maintained. It was a perfect setting for a small, intimate wedding such as ours. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Ann worked with us to ensure that all of our needs were taken care on the day of the event. They really made our day perfect, even though our wedding was not the only event happening at the venue that day. I would highly recommend visiting, even if you do not have an event to host. read more
