We checked out Ron Harris when we were looking for entertainment for our wedding last year and they were one of a handful of bands that had received decent online reviews. Like most of the musical directors, Ron wanted to arrange a conference call with my fiance and me to talk about what we were looking for. The call lasted for an hour and a half, which seemed a little excessive-- and he spent a lot of that time "educating" us on all things wedding music, which felt a little condescending at times. He then called us back the next night because he still wanted MORE information about us and what we wanted and we spent another 45 minutes on the phone with him. He also danced around giving us a price quote on both calls, but instead asked us what we were comfortable paying... I would think you have a general pricing matrix that we could look at, right? And this really is something that is necessary for making a final decision. He finally did send us a quote a few days later (after we had already decided to go with another band) and it surely was right within our specified budget, but it felt like he had stripped out important things that we may have ponied up a little extra for if we had been presented with the option. We ended up going with another band (who was actually more expensive, but who really met our needs better), which was probably for the best-- if this band required this much time from us right off the bat, I can only imagine how much precious time would have been required of us during the crucial wedding planning months.

Ron is a consummate professional and spent quality time to understand our needs, made us feel really comfortable and guided us through the whole process. On the day of, Alma and her team worked extremely hard to make sure our wedding reception was seamless. We had such a wonderful time and have had so many friends/family compliment Bliss Events and Weddings too for their hard work behind the scenes. Alma is kind, professional, and really good at what she does. I could not recommend using Bliss Weddings and Events more highly. Out of all our vendors we used for our reception, I think hiring a day of planner was probably the best possible thing we did to ensure that our night ran smoothly. What becomes a problem is that the owner committed in writing to provide a refund, did not issue one and then did not respond to follow ups regarding the situation. When a vendor agrees to issue a refund and then does not do so, that is an issue with business practice and deserves a negative review. I followed up for two weeks after the refund was promised and never received a refund or a response. *** The customer service is upsetting at best. I agreed to the estimate and then verbally and in writing was told they were taking a credit card just to hold the event. I ran into an issue with the event less than 24 hours after agreeing to the estimate and called them right away. The owner did not respond even though he had been quick to immediately respond before. The rep told me she would follow up quickly and didn't. They charged me 2 grand, never told me that they were and never sent a receipt. They then told me they would issue a refund and did not. They are now refusing to answer calls or emails. I need a resolution and they seem uninterested in providing customer service. Do not use them.

He was very helpful with sending me sample links of different songs I could choose. We also added a violinist to play with him that he helped organize. Unfortunately, we missed him ourselves at cocktail hour (thanks to my hair & makeup girl arriving an hour late which delayed photos until after the ceremony), but our guests absolutely loved his flamenco tunes while they socialized. Since our wedding I keep trying to attend some of his awesome events around town, & most recently arranged a ladies night out at the Palmer House to watch him play in their gorgeous lobby bar. It was so fun! We all had a wonderful time. One word of warning if you go: their drinks are bigger & stronger than you think. I asked to rent a Fortnite bounce house & a medium size basketballl hoop inflatable. The owner of the company told me he would be out of town and his workers would set me up. The workers would be there for set up between 12-1. At 1:08 I started calling the owner back to back, texting, messaging on facebook as my guests were going to be coming within the hour. No response at all. Finally at 1:55pm I got a phone call from an employee saying they would be there in 30 minutes. My sons friends were already at my house when Jump For Less finally arrived at 2:35. They did not bring the fortnite sign that attached to the bounce house, and they did not bring the correct basketball hoop inflatable. I ordered a "medium" basketball hoop & instead they brought me a large hoop, which hardly fit in my backyard. When I complained the next day to the owner when he finally picked up his cell phone he responded with "everyone wants them delivered at the same time." If this was an issue when I booked the inflatable I would have told them please feel free to come early and set up as I would have not minded. He did not offer to take off any $ until I asked if he can take something off for the inconvenience. I have learned my lesson and will never use this company again.

In December 2019 I read something about Bubbly Events champagne cart and made a mental note to book it for whatever our company 2020 summer offsite would be. Little did I know that thanks to covid there wouldn't be any company offsites or other parties in the near future. Another party that was affected by covid was my 40th birthday. Being the party planner than I am I had big party plans for 40. As summer 2020 approached it looked like parties as I knew them continued to be canceled, but I was determined to figure out a fun (and most importantly safe) way to celebrate. I started putting together a plan for a small socially distanced backyard bash for my closest friends and kept thinking about that champagne cart I had read about months earlier. I reached out to Bubbly Events and heard back from Jacqlyn immediately with info on the cart, her amazing walls and even balloons. It seemed like she could add a lot of value to this bash and when we got on the phone I realized she was able to help with all of the decor for the party. While I used her mostly for decor since i had already reached out to food and entertainment vendors she's able to provide full service party planning. I love being part of the party planning process (hence why i threw myself a 40th bday bash :)) so we worked closely together on everything. I loved her attention to detail, ability to make any idea come to life (including making adorable tumblers with covid related sayings) and she also helped me find the most affordable way to make the backyard rustic vision I had a reality. While we worked with a rental company on some lights and furniture for the event she found affordable items from amazon, target etc that were a fraction of the price of anything we could rent. She was also extremely patient with me, especially as the party approached and I worried about the rain in the forecast. I changed my mind a million times on whether to move forward or change the date and she was very understanding. When I finally decided to change the date she made herself available. The day of the party she showed up extremely early with a member of team, Taylor, who was just as awesome. They worked for hours to turn my kid crazy driveway and backyard into a gorgeous party. She also made sure everything ran as planned and several guests commented on how amazing she was. And the amazingness didn't stop at the party because when I mentioned I was hungover the next morning from too much fun she had bagels and cream cheese delivered to my door within an hour. Seriously- she's the best! I can't wait until parties are safe again because we are going to throw some big ones together, but in the meantime can't wait to use her for any future small intimate events.
