Our wedding was May 24 of this year, and we had Brian Keck as our DJ. He was awesome! The company has a website where you can choose must play songs, do not play songs, and songs that you like. I spent a good amount of time using this feature. We talked to our DJ about a week or two before our wedding, and we discussed the type of music we like, what was important to us for the feel of the reception, and that kind of stuff. He exceeded my expectations in every way! I told him before the wedding that I really do not like dancing, so don't be worried if I'm not on the dance floor the whole night. Well, he ended up doing such a great job that I spent probably 90% of the wedding dancing! He played all of my must play songs and a ton of the songs I put as songs that I liked. Seriously, the entire night, every song was so good that you couldn't leave the dance floor, and it was packed the whole night.
Additionally, Brian checked with me throughout the night to make sure everything was going well. About two thirds of the way through the night, he checked to see if there were any songs I wanted played that I hadn't heard yet. I told him there was one song, and he played it. Sadly, I'm the only one who knows that song, so everyone left the dance floor because they were so exhausted from dancing! Well, Brian being the pro that he is then put on the Cupid Shuffle (which was the only organized dancing song I said he could play), which got everyone right back on the dance floor, and it stayed packed again until the end of the night.
He also listened to what I wanted and didn't want. On my do not play list were all the classic wedding songs like the chicken dance, electric slide, and macarena. When we talked before the wedding, he told me that he always gets multiple requests for the electric slide, and did I really not want it played at all? I told him if he got more than one request for it, then he could play it. Well he listened and did not play it, which I really appreciated (especially after one person later told me they requested it, and he told them no, the bride doesn't want me to play that song).
Customer service with this company in general was also very good. I did everything over email which them, which I prefer. I was not a very organized bride, so I waited until the last minute to fill out their forms with the information on who's in the bridal party and what songs should be played for each part of the reception. But they were great, sending me reminder emails for what needed to be done when, and they were always really nice and got back to me quickly. I even didn't know who was going to be saying the prayer before dinner until the day of the wedding, and Brian was totally fine with it. We just gave him the name right before the reception started, and it was no problem. I would recommend this company to everyone, and especially Brian Keck. read more
