Don't let the relative lack of Yelp reviews put you off - he knows what he's doing. We met Tim once in person, and once via FaceTime. Each time I left with the impression that he's a person that just *understands* music at a deep level - and that's what you want in a DJ. Someone who can read the room and play the *right* song. We ended up trusting Tim to just play what he thought was right - we gave him a list of songs we liked, but other than that let him pick the music. A family friend whose daughter got married at Cog Hill a few years ago used Jon Wise, and they strongly recommended him. So, after we booked our venue, JPW Productions was actually the first vendor we hired! We were really busy with last-minute wedding planning, so we were not able to fill out the music preference questionnaire until a few days before the wedding. (Yes, it was honestly insanity.) Jon was SO patient with us despite how last-minute we are. He has a great personality and didn't stress us out at all on the day of the wedding (even though it was totally within his right to do so because we didn't give him the flash drive of a certain version of a song until the day of!).
