I'm actually very surprised the Aris Enterprise hasn't been Yelped about. He's been in the industry for years, and we were referred to him by many of our other friends that have had him DJ for their weddings. When our family members/guests found out in advance that Aris was going to be DJ-ing many of them were impressed by saying, "HOW DID YOU GET HIM?!! He's #1?!" I didn't realize he was such a commodity. When we booked him, he was very responsive, organized, and had spreadsheets of information that needed to be filled out. Having him request this information put us at ease that there will be no surprises on the wedding day. Most feedback that we hear about really bad wedding DJs are that they veer from the bride and groom's request. Aris, however, stuck EXACTLY to the program, and conducted himself with the utmost professionalism while MC-ing and always had a smile on his face. When we told him to play a slow song every 30 minutes, my husband checked his watch, and Aris clocked in ON THE DOT. Our guests danced the night away. Booked Aris a year and half ago; was corresponding with him only through phone and email, never set up an actual meeting but heard from word of mouth that Aris is a great DJ. The night of the wedding, I met Aris and he brought it up to my attention that something else came up and he had to leave and left his work to 2 other DJ's working for him. I was very disappointed with the details and do not recommend this company for your special events. 1) They announced the speeches right after another and did not space them out during the dinner. My matron of honor was speaking while the salads were being served and it was so loud that I couldn't even hear what she was saying. 2) My dad and I were still dancing while the DJ announced the groom and his mom to come to the dance floor to dance their first dance; it ruined our finale. 3) They didn't play any of my dad's songs that was sent to Aris; and all they played were techno, club type music so most of the adults were sitting down. 4) I asked for uplighting which was set up, but they set up green and red dot lighting everywhere that was super distracting; I did not ask for that in my contract. Overall, I had a good time at my wedding regardless of these details. We had our wedding last Saturday 12/13/14. It was an amazing day. I interviewed only 2 Djs and honestly it was a tough call. They were both my friends. It basically came down to the budget issue as any other brides have to struggle with. Communication was never an issue. Aris responded within 24 hrs. I'm a nervous freak normally as I like to know everything that is happening. On the day of the wedding, he took over the reception and it was a blast! Aris had received so many compliments throughout our wedding night! We used Aris Entertainment for our August 10th Wedding Reception in downtown Chicago. Throughout the entire process we spoke with Aris himself, who was very helpful and reassuring for our big day. Our DJ was DJ Five-O, and he did an unbullievable job! We had what we would consider pretty complex instructions on how we wanted our introductions to be done, and he nailed it...let's just say we are huge Bulls fans and he made our vision a perfect reality. We had purple uplights which looked fantastic; coinciding videos were played with the music as well. Everyone knows that the DJ makes or breaks a reception. You can't go wrong with Aris Enterprise!!! Aris gave us exactly what we wanted (even tho we didn't know how to express it)!! We didn't know what music to play as the bridal party was introduced, but he chose the perfect intro music! He has great energy and sound. He even provides a video projector and screen at a reasonable cost, if you let him know in advance. My bridesmaids wore red and we requested "Lady in Red", which he sang himself so well that at first people didn't realize he was singing live! That was a nice treat/surprise. He kept people on the dance floor and respected our wishlist, as well as our "do not play" list. Aris Enterprise is very professional. Our dance floor was packed with guests dancing the night away the whole night, up until midnight hit and the lights came back on! When consulting with our florist (Jazzy Flowers) for our wedding, we mentioned that we were in the process of finding a DJ. Our consultant, who had just gotten married, told us about DJ Aris. The owner, and our floral designer at Jazzy Flowers, is also a longtime friend of Aris. We arranged to meet Aris at a hotel and talk about his services. Our first impression was, "This guy is great, he's wearing a Blackhawks jersey." He then pulled out a suggested, detailed, outline of a typical wedding reception. With my love for organization, I knew this was our guy. He described his services in great detail, provided us with a list of songs to choose from, which included ideas for the cake cutting, wedding party entrance, mother/son dance, etc. This also gave him an idea of our music style once we crossed out our likes and dislikes. His equipment is all state-of-the-art, which included lights for the dance floor. But he was also able to offer up-lighting, which added an amazing touch to our reception's ambiance. Aris was always quick to respond when I emailed him and without hesitation, allowed us to add another hour to our reception at an exceptionally reasonable rate - 2 weeks before the wedding! He coordinated with ALL of our vendors, including our officiant, who discussed scues about the music we specifically chose for our ceremony. All of the music that I chose for our ceremony was played in the precise order, and style, I requested! When our officiant's wireless microphone didn't work properly during the ceremony - GASP - Aris had his assistant run up with a handheld which did not disrupt our beautiful ceremony. Aris also provided a wireless speaker for the room that held our cocktail reception and played the Frank Sinatra-esque music I requested - during dinner as well. After the toasts, he asked the guests for ONE glass clink, and said that would be all for the rest of the night. The man read our mind! Aris made sure to know how to say all of our wedding party's names (we had some tough ones) and got us lined up, ready to go for our entrance into the reception. When it came time for my husband and I to walk out to Chelsea Dagger (Blackhawks tribute), he included the goal horn! We were ecstatic because we kept meaning to ask for that, but forgot due to the million other details we were worried about. It made us sooooo happy that he thought to include that tiny detail. Aris spent the evening playing the type of music we requested (no Rhianna) and welcomed requests from our intoxicated guests. He kept the dance floor rocking and kept it kid appropriate, since we had some little ones in the crowd. He played the specifics I asked for, but was able to compile a play list based on our preferences. When the evening came to an end, he did the Blackhawks horn one more time and played "Chicago" by Frank Sinatra. Our wedding was downtown, so it was the perfect end to the night. My only complaint? If you love to dance, you are going to have a hard time meeting your wedding obligations because Aris makes you want to be on the dance floor. All I kept saying was, "I just want to dance!" If you are going to hire a DJ for your wedding, don't go for the companies who send you the guys who are washed up club DJs. Go for the guy who is passionate about what he does and has YEARS of experience. You will not be disappointed by DJ Aris' services and I can guarantee that your guests will have the time of their life. You will also feel happy about the affordable investment that you made.
