Working with David was one of the best parts of our wedding. Not only was he extremely professional, helpful and responsive, but he was a lot of fun. He kept our dance floor FILLED the entire night. His song transitions were flawless. He really has a knack for this. You won't regret making him a part of your day. read more

If you know our family, you know we are the definition of diverse! It takes a special person to accept the major role of our event DJ and thank God we have been blessed with one! David Olivares had us dancing the night away at our wedding in 2011 and now again at our eldest daughter's quinceañera this month. Reliable and professional, he played a great mix of genres fitting for our multicultural family and friends. Ready to book the next quince! Mssge him if you are looking to have an unforgettable event! Thank You David!!! read more

When we first met David, we hit it off right away! We looked at other DJs but no one can match the connection we had with David, so we booked him! Best decision ever! I'm Hispanic and David was able to play a mix of music including Spanish. He also provided English to Spanish translation. He took all our wedding song requests and made great suggestions. Also our wedding was Star Wars theme and David surprised us with some of the songs of the Star Wars saga and made a great mix of the Imperial March! Absolutely amazing! David you did such an amazing job with our music and we loved it all! We are eternally grateful for everything and definitely will keep you in mind for future events and recommend you to all our friends. May the force be with you -The Diorios read more

David was an absolute hit at our wedding in March 2014. We have had numerous compliments on the DJ and lighting he provided, and could not be happier with his services. He made sure the music was on point with each event during the reception, and kept everything going smoothly. We really couldn't have asked for a better DJ. As it was a Hispanic/American wedding, we knew that we would want Latin music involved in our wedding for the family. Our issue was that neither of us knew anything about Spanish music. After getting some basic genres from our parents, he was able to provide the songs that would get everyone dancing. I will be recommending him to anyone asking for a DJ. read more

...to say that David Olivares did an incredible job at our wedding would be an understatement on 18Sep2009 at DoubleTree Hilton Kirsteen and i were married. David Olivares was our DJ. Long ago i learned from working catering and bartending that a nice place and decent food was okay. But for our friends premium bar and a great DJ would make an Event that much more special. David helped make our day that much more memorable. From the small details, introductions, speeches down to the our last dance... .and everything in-between. He was awesome. With the wedding fast approaching we had almost forgotten to get music. We opted for a DJ instead of a Band to make it easy. But, Kirsteen (my lovely wife) was stressing and David walked us through the process from helping choose our songs (special thanks from my mom, great choice on mom/son song ) to working with us through our uncertainty of order of events. I know this is a bit long, but it would be impossible to write in a few words how much David became a part of our day as it unfolded. As i'm sure with all weddings we had am mixture of people. Family, friends, young and old. David made sure the music transitioned well. Most people danced. The music flowed, seems so simple, yet more often than not i hear people complain about their DJ at parties, they talked to much, music was bad, didn't have the right music, etc. . .I could go on... Kirsteen was overjoyed at how much, or rather how well everything went. She loved the music and she danced the night away. Our wedding was a couple of weeks ago, and people are still calling me. Close friends and family, they had a blast. This is my first review on yelp, i've used it countless of times. The times i have not, unfortunately, i wished i had. As my first review i hope i've said enough. I believe give credit, where credit is due. David doesn't have a website, mostly he works from word of mouth. But, if this review helps him get one client, and that is you, i i hope your event goes well, and i'm positive that the one worry you will not have, will be the music. David's attention to detail, professionalism and follow through left us in awe. I don't think this is the proper way to write a review, but David could not have done a better job, Kirsteen cried, from us both for helping us make this our most memorable moment to date our gratitude goes out to you. alex read more

David Oliveras from Digital Extasy Mobile Entertainment was the DJ for my wedding this past March for both the ceremony and the reception. I can't tell you how many compliments we received from our friends and family throughout the night! We are still receiving compliments to this day. His equipment sounded crystal clear. The wedding music was important because my husband's family is Arabic but our friends are not. As the Bride to Be my biggest fear was no one was going to dance. David took care of those fears by properly reading the crowd. There was NO time during the entire reception that the dance floor was empty. David successfully got every single person on the dance floor at some point in the night and the dance floor was full of people all night. I personally had a blast at my wedding and David was a HUGE part in that. From the beginning of the planning process David was there and completely professional. He initially met with us at a possible wedding venue and we briefly discussed music. I then sent him a must play/do not play list. My husband and I tend to favor rock music, which you cannot dance to so we decided to play specific music choices during cocktails and reception. He met with us again to go over all the music choices I sent him and offer suggestions. We received his contract and questionnaire promptly after the first meet, which asked basic questions as well as our music preference and favorite bands and genres. When we finally decided on a venue (read my review on the Belvedere Events and Banquets) he met us there again to speak with the venue about setup details and to check the space out. After scoping the joint out we sat for awhile and went over the music choices we sent him for the specific wedding moments. For the dancing part of the reception we gave him Arabic music and left the rest up to him. We met a final time a few days before the wedding where we dropped more Arabic music off on him in case we needed it to get people moving (which he didn't 'cause he's awesome) and to change our reception entrance song. He had the entire wedding timelined and typed out, which he shared with all our other wedding vendors. He communicated with the Pastor, the photographer, and the videographer so everyone was in place for all the special moments. He also made sure to phonetically write out everyone's names to ensure proper pronunciation. During the ceremony he was perfectly on time with the bridal party, bride's entrance, sand ceremony, and the couple's exits. During the night of the wedding David continued to surprise us by dropping some of our favorite genres and bands in the mix in such a way it made our night, surprised the guests, and got the party hoppin' David used the questionnaire he originally sent us to get a proper feel for our personal musical taste. Which was fantastic because the hubby and I figured we would have to cater to the mostly Arabic crowd to get people on the dance floor. Getting to hear the golden oldies mixed, current pop, ghetto rap, metallica, old school freestyle, and Arabic dance music all in one night mixed so seamlessly had everyone amazed but most of all my husband and I were able to enjoy the dancing all night also. Thank you SO MUCH David for an amazing wedding ceremony and reception. read more

I highly recommend Digital Extasy as the DJ+ choice for your event. We had David DJ our Son's wedding and the Bride was very pleased (after all that is what is most important). But we know everyone was happy because our guests were on the dance floor. In addition, we had Digital Extasy provide the lighting and it transformed the venue. read more

David Olivares was great. He was patient, he worked hard to find every single song that we requested and he took the time to meet with us several times. His prices are very reasonable. Simply put, he was amazing and I would definitely recommend him!! read more

We are so lucky to have found David. He did an incredible job DJ-ing our wedding! We gave him a few must-plays and a few no-plays, as well as a few genres for cocktail hour and dinner, and he took over from there. Everyone loved the music! The dance floor was literally packed from the moment dinner ended until the very last song. Even the men were sweating through their shirts from dancing so much. Six months later, our family and friends are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding, and the first thing they always say is, "That DJ was awesome!!" Throughout the planning process, David was helpful and responsive. He went above and beyond, and attended the walk through with our planner. Because our wedding took place in my parents' backyard, he had the additional challenge of making sure he had the set up he needed to power his DJ equipment. Because he was proactive, we had no problems the day of the wedding (at least that I know of, because everything went off without a hitch)! Also, he did our ceremony speaker set up, and worked with our musicians to make sure everything worked properly. Despite the tough logistics and acoustics of an outdoor ceremony, because of David's expertise, our guests were able to hear our whole ceremony loud and clear. I highly recommend working with David. Anyone who has been to a wedding knows that music can make or break the party, and David made our wedding unforgettable!! read more

We hired a bilingual DJ, David Olivares, for my sister's Quincañera after we had hired him for mine, and he keeps being the best. He is the most accommodating DJ ever. David really does a good job of making this event really special for his client by getting to know them well and being very flexible. People kept complimenting how good the quality and variety of music was. It definitely made the Quinceñera a very enjoyable experience for everyone. read more

David Olivares was wonderful! My now husband is Mexican and I am Irish. We weren't sure how to have a bi-lingual wedding, but David made it happen. Everything went smoothly, and he was never speaking too much of one language. Everyone knew what was going on and nobody felt left out. David also did an amazing job of seamlessly blending my music choices with my husband's choices. (I like country and he likes Spanish music). The music was perfect, but the lighting was beyond what I had imagined in my mind! There were light pink lights along every wall of the hall, and it was just beautiful. Although it rained on my wedding day, David gave me a beautiful star-lit sky on the ceiling of the ballroom. It was such a perfect and romantic touch. David went above and beyond to work with my husband and me. If I had a question or concern, he was always available. My husband and I work opposite hours, and David worked with us, meeting with us at 9:30 at night sometimes. He did everything he could to accommodate our every need, and I am so thankful to have found him. David made my wedding reception so classy and beautiful, and he joined two cultures together flawlessly. He was simply amazing. read more

DJ David is the best DJ you can ask for! We were in a very stressful situation after another DJ company(Memory Makers) cancelled 3 days before our wedding. We got in contact with DJ David and he put us at ease. From communication prior to our special day: a detailed questionnaire about our expectations, walking through the process about payment and a phone call to make sure we were both on the same page to the wedding day itself. We had family from the midwest as well as family from mexico and he did an amazing job at making sure everyone felt included. He was super flexible with including things we decided to do last minute (literally went up to him at the reception to see if we could do a bouquet toss even though we didn't plan on it). Our dance floor was NEVER left empty and even had us singing to throw backs! Our friends and family gave us great compliments about DJ David. He had us dancing all night long! read more

This review is long overdue for DAVID OLIVARES...an amazing DJ/coordinator. When it came to the wedding I told my wife that to me the photographer and DJ would be my priority because they are what mattered to me as far as importance. The DJ plays an intricate part of the night because they set the mood and coordinate the night. We were told about his services and went with their feedback and we are happy we did. From the time that we met him to the night of our wedding he was a total professional. He helped us coordinate our music and wedding as well as gave us feedback and ideas about what songs worked for certain parts of the wedding. We would have been lost without his direction. We reached out to him any time we had a question and he would follow up promptly. He worked with us and our requests and we were amazed with how well everything flowed and went throughout our reception night. He maintained the mood and worked the crowd with finesse and ease. We wanted LATIN (bachata, banda, salsa), HOUSE, TOP 40 & OLDIES played to have a good variety for everyone and he delivered without a hiccup. We got a lot a compliments from friends and family. They told us they had a blast and that they were amazed with the songs the DJ played and that we played a little of everything through the night. It was a success and we owe a big thanks to our DJ/Coordinator :) till this day I think back and am grateful and thankful to have had DAVID DJ our wedding. I would not change anything that he did on our unforgettable night. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND David to my friends and family and anyone that reads this review. Do not hesitate because for what he does you cannot put a price on. I would choose David once again if I had the chance to DJ our wedding and so would my wife. And that says a lot if my wife agrees with me because she is very picky with everything :) read more

My husband and I were beyond impressed by David Olivares and Digital Extasy Mobile Entertainment's performance at our wedding in January 2011. You could tell that he put so much time and energy into picking songs that fit our style and kept the crowd dancing. He was even able to slow down "our song" and cut it short so it fit our choreographed first-dance perfectly. He showed up early to make sure everything was set up in time. He is affordable and awesome! If you're looking for a great DJ, pick David! read more

David Olivares hands down best DJ in town ! Wow,.did he make my daughter's night an memorable one. He is so amazing that I lacked in providing him with a list of must play songs, favorite genre etc. And he managed to keep our dance floor packed all night long and played every song we hoped he'd play. I had a last minute routine added just mintues prior and without hesitation he made it happen !! Thank you David for your professionalism and talent !!! read more

DJing at weddings is easy to do but difficult to master. David Olivera of Digital Extasy Mobile Entertainment is a master. He DJ'ed our wedding reception in June 2010. We had a large and somewhat rowdy crowd, given to inappropriate requests and bossiness. David handled them with grace. His particular style as a DJ suited us, not at all a bar mitzvah-get-everyone-to-do-games DJ. We were impressed that he listened to our play-list CD 3 times to make sure all the songs played properly during our cocktail hour. He stuck with our play/don't play list quite stringently during the dancing yet he was able to read the crowd and quickly fade a song if people were not into it. His equipment seemed quite high end but not finicky. The only negative was that some guests had trouble hearing our toasts but our venue (the Garfield Park Conservatory) has notoriously bad acoustics, this would probably not be a problem at most venues or with more sound checks. Overall, we were extremely impressed with David's cool, calm, professional manner. What you see is what you get with him, we were very satisfied and highly recommend him for any occasion. read more
