I ordered two items separately; processed returns for both items and received slips to include with the items when returning. To save money, I put both items, both return slips in the same box however, the email I received indicated I would be getting a refund for only one of the items. I have attempted to call the customer service number three times within the past 7 days; each time being on hold waiting to speak to someone for over 45 minutes, then just hanging up in frustration. After a particularly indulgent weekend filled with birthday parties, drinks, brunch, movie snacks and more drinks, I awoke on Monday morning feeling a bit... puffy. I have never purchased Spanx before. I've been seeing the ads on instagram a lot lately for the Moto Leggings.. they looked amazing. I jumped on the website and connected with the customer service rep to ask about what size I might be. After going back and forth a little, she will still not able to determine my size. She was using all the information from the website and cutting and pasting in the dialogue box. I could have done the research myself but wanted her opinion as I may have been in between sizes. Another thing the website boasted was no 'camel toe' haha. I was skeptical because, hey, they are leggings. I took a leap and ordered the Moto Leggings, size small. A bit pricey at $110, but if they were as awesome as the ads say, then totally worth it. They shipped and I received within 3 days. The box was adorable and beautifully packed. The minute they arrived, I tried them on and they were prefect! No camel toe, lol. These will be my new fall go-to. A bit of a hassle trying to figure out size, but happy I chose right and they fit. I'm sad that Cynthia C. has such a terrible experience with Spanx, but I can't rave about it enough. I've got my entire office of women converted over and we all wear Spanx. I, however, have not tried the cami, so perhaps that's why I still love the brand so much. Spanx is great for tucking in all the problem areas, getting rid of the horrendous VPL (visible panty lines), and just giving you a little bit more confidence in your step. Yes, they're tight and kind of a pain to put on, so don't drink a lot of fluids. However, they work wonders. Any time you see me in a dress, assume I'm wearing Spanx. It takes care of my little beer belly immediately. My favorite ones are the ones that go to your knees. They tuck in my belly, take away the jiggly thighs and firm up my butt--all in about 2 minutes. I especially recommend them if you're planning to take a bunch of pictures (i.e. at a wedding) since you won't always be on guard to "suck it in" for a surprise photo op. You can find them for cheap at Dillards, though I usually hunt for them at the Neiman's outlet mall. You can also buy online, but be sure to actually buy the correct size. If they're too big, they won't do the job. And if they're too small, you won't get them past your calf--they're meant to be tight, but not THAT tight! ********************************** Update: I just got one of the slips and it is even more amazing than the regular body shapers. Originally, I started shopping online because I actually had a great experience with customer service. Well, how quickly they changed. I purchased an item online and received it about 2 weeks later. After wearing the item about 5 time - not in a row - I noticed that it was falling apart. This was surprising to me because I love their items. All my purchases last a year or more. I immediately wrote to customer service and waited. After a week of being ignored, I sent a 2nd and then a 3rd email. Still the same....silence on the other end. I finally contacted them by telephone and was assured that it would be resolved if it fell within the 30 day period. But by now it had been over 30 days because I spent 3 weeks waiting for a response. Still, they assured me that they would resolve my situation by allowing me to send it back. I just needed the return label. Nothing has arrived and time just keeps on ticking. After 3 emails, 4 phone calls, I have received only apologies, and that is all. I have not received anything I was promised and the item - $70 dollars worth - is unusable. I am so disappointed that words cannot describe what I feel. read more

Since customer service basically does not resolve and barely responds to emails. I received a WET spanx in the mail that water damaged the entire box and label. Telling me to send it back and that you can't provide a replacement at the same price I got it for? After this email responded stating will respond to me in 3-5 days and never did until a week later after I sent another email. That email told me the same thing as the first email which does not address anything. *** Email to them. I find this response unsatisfactory. First of all you sent me wet second hand items that you will now pass off to someone else. It's surprising you would even want the item back and want us to actually spend the time and effort to actually procure and buy a new box (since the one you sent it in was water damaged) and trek to the shipping facility, wait in line, to get it back to you. Second of all while I purchased this item on a promotion, now you are telling me, because of your own failure in sending me dirty pants that you are unable to provide a new pair at the same price? "While we are unable to send you a new pair of leggings under your current order, please feel free to place a replacement order at any time" - this delay was not my fault. Are customers to be punished and to pay with their time to take time off work to fix your problems? Customer service is a joke. You will consistently hear, "There is nothing I can do to help you." They will take your money, send you the wrong product, promise to send you the correct product upon receipt of the mistaken item, then never send the correct product. You will call several times to find out what the status of your replacement is, and nothing will ever be done. Long story short, they will steal your money, forcing you to submit a fraudulent charge claim with your credit card company. Do not bother with Spanx directly. If the product isn't available in your local department store, you don't need it. Not worth the trouble. read more

I have had ENDLESS trouble with their customer service agents and have had different answers to my queries from each agent. I ordered an item from spanx recently and paid 35$ for 3-day shipping (ordered on a Saturday). I called to check the shipping status of the package on Wednesday and the customer service agent could not find it and instead gave me the number of the shipping company. I spend all morning tracking it down and to correct the information on it. Turns out Spanx put the wrong information on my package (their phone number instead of mine and left out my address entirely). The shipping company told me I would have never received it had I not gotten ahold of them. I called spanx again to let them know that I wanted my 35$ 3-day shipping fee back as the package was ordered on a Saturday and I would not recieve it until Thursday night as late as 9pm. The representative was so rude and told me that that I was getting in in 3 days as Spanx takes 1"full" business day to process an order - So the Monday was a "processing day" and the order wasn't submitted until Tuesday (Meanwhile, if I hadn't wasted my whole morning looking for it it would have never arrived at all). So look out - "3-day shipping" actually means 4-business day shipping. Seriously don't depend on their products arriving on time if you need it for an event. And don't expect the customer service reps to be able to help you with anything. read more

I couldn't find them in my size at the rack, but went to Nordstroms, 2nd floor hosiery dept. $36 bucks. They have a variety in shapes colors, etc. YES!!! Now for back home. I went home and squeezed into my spanx and guess what? They were comfortable. Yes getting them up and down can be a bit uncomfortable, but once you are in there you are good to go! If I could give this bra-lalujua bra from Spanx no stars, I would. After washing in cold water and laying flat to dry, both bras curled at the edges and are no longer a smooth fit. They are called "the perfect t-shirt bra" but they don't live up to the hype. They are expensive! I will never buy from them again. I am utterly appalled at the extremely degraded quality control of Spanx merchadise, particularly their footless control top hose. One only needs to breathe on them for them to fall apart now. They used to be made well, robust and not easy to run. Now, they run if you look at them cross-eyed; the legs detach from the "panty" with no cause. This is greed at its worst. Awful customer experience. I I received an email from Spanx offering a promo code of 20% off because it had been a while since I purchased a product from them. I went online to use the code and had $171 worth of product in my shopping cart when I went to use the code that they sent me I was given a response that the code was invalid. I called Spanx customer service and was put in contact with a customer service rep and spent 10 minutes trying to explain and then receive a new promo code from that agent. The agent was clearly an offshore customer service rep because I was unable to comprehend the code that she was trying to provide to me it took at least 10 minutes to get the new code correctly. I tried applying the new code which should have been for 20% off. When the new code processed I was only given 15% off. I then called back to customer service asking to speak to a supervisor, was hung up on, called back again was finally able to contact a supervisor in Wisconsin and explained the situation to her and then was told that it would take 48 hours to receive a new code. In today's Ecommerce environment taking 48 hours to accomodate a customer is unacceptable. This service interaction was a horrible customer experience, needless to say I will not be purchasing from them and that $171 order will go to another vendor. read more

I cruise the TV specials regularly hoping to find a product that will help smooth out my lumps and bumps. I finally thought I would go with the most known via Oprah and all ....SPANX! I bought my Spanx at Lane Bryant with the help of a sales clerk who assured me they were just my size. Bought both the pantyhose and the footless. Couldn't get either up over my stomach and after 10 minutes of straining as I tried to get ready for work I found that I was so stressed I was in tears. Finally got them up and had almost had a sore along my side where I was particularly straining. (I am 5'4 and 180 lbs...big but reasonable....still!). Have attempted to try both again several times and am so disgusted they are sitting in a heap. When I finally got them on the top that is for slimming the torso rolled down continually and I was tugging all day at myself. What a waste of $60 dollars, No more. My body is what it is and I will wear what flatter me or learn to love myself. Maybe if you have an assistant or stylist standing there with you to help pull the thing on and get you into it it is great...or maybe if you are really a thin person and just need some air brushing.
