The quesadilla was incredibly greasy and nothing like a quesadilla. The mouth feel of the walnut chorizo with the soft vegetables was weird / it felt gritty. The flavors fell as well. The only highlight was the salsa but I'm 90% sure it was salsa de welo which you can buy at a store. No one would finish my quesadillas at the table. Major miss for me. Some of the worst food I've had - sorry.

So it went in the trash. I literally cannot shake the aftertaste, even after drinking some Powerade. Others may enjoy this place, but it is definitely not for me. Space Monkey Coffee. I want to love this place for a lot of different reasons. It's 2 and a half blocks from my house, free wifi... So- the truth. Bad coffee. Equitas? Yuck. I went there this morning and had an Americano. The barista clearly did not know what she was doing, smelled like alcohol, and gave me half and half for my coffee that had chunks in it. I am a barista so maybe I have higher standards. She clearly did not want to be there. Upon looking over the counter the place was disgustingly filthy. Holes in the linoleum, coffee grounds on stuck all over the walls. I work in food service. I can tell the place has not been cleaned in a long time. The first shot she pulled was about 50 seconds. Wow. Not good. I mentioned this to her and she said she was planning on pulling me another one. Uh huh. Probably not if I hadn't mentioned it. The drip coffee was out, as usual. It's really too bad. The Arleta Library Cafe is right next door. If the owner got some baristas that knew how to do latte art and pull a shot he would make a lot more money. Sad. Oh yah and get better coffee and make sure it doesn't run out all the time. Sorry Space Monkey Coffee. Maybe the owner will read this post and make some changes. read more

The worst coffee ever, the worst customer service ever. I tried it a few times, just to give them a another chance, but every time I tried it I ended up upset about even stepping foot into that place. The latte I got was pretty much 90% milk, there was barely any coffee in it. My sister had to take her coffee back because of the same issue, and was treated with disrespect and a sneer about wanting a less milky coffee. Is that their policy or something? Cut the coffee with milk? I would probably frequent this place more even for the bad coffee if you had a real, kind barista in there. Don't just hire someone because they look like a portlandia hipster that doesn't know how to make coffee. I prefer Arleta Cafe better, to bad it isn't open as much. I hope the owner looks at this page and considers hiring some of the wonderful unemployed baristas out there instead of this lady. read more

This coffee shop is the anchor in our neighborhood. Tom, the owner, is dedicated to his craft and will throw out espresso shots if they are not up to par. He is also exceptionally warm and welcoming, always having a wonderful story or comment to great you with. It is the type of place that you want to hang out with just to chat and have another cup of coffee with. Added to this is the fact that they are very family friendly, welcoming kids and providing children's books, pint size rocking chairs and steamers that are warm but not to hot so the kiddos can drink it ASAP. The food and tasty treats are wonderful as well. Check them out any time you are at Mt Scott Community center or visiting MT Scott park. You'll be happy you did. read more

I.was given a letter. Waited for my lunch. After 20 minutes I go up to the counter and ask " is that mined" Oh yeah sorry. Everyone else arround me was served but I was not. Terrible service! My boyfriend was kicked out for bringing in his service dog, telling him to get his dog out. After informing her he was service and showing credentials the staff member told him he could be lying and she didn't care anyway. This man is a military vet with a very well trained service dog.
