Moberi has me in a chokehold! The Açaí / Mango with: Strawberry, Bananna, cocoa nibs, and coconut with a honey drizzle - be still my heart.

Moberi is always such a refreshing breakfast that I'm glad to have in the neighborhood! The people are always great and the bowls ALWAYS hit! I'll keep coming as long as I need a bounce back after a long night out.

I have walked by this place several times I never stopped by. I wanted a smoothie and decided to try this place. The smoothie was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try their açai bowls.

Delicious smoothies, acai bowls, and other treats. I got a green smoothie (Green Vibes) with kale, dates, and almond butter ($9.95) and it was divine and creamy and filling. Also picked up a parfait chia pudding ($5.50) which was rich and amazing. Super cute, clean interior.

Purple rain with gf granola and peanut butter ($18) Expensive!

I tried the purple rain with gf granola and added peanut butter for some protein. Grateful for a gf option but it was $2 extra and I think a similar charge for the pb. It was $18 before tip; that's too expensive in my opinion!

Sigh, I really love Moberi. I always get their Purple Rain bowl and it's always so fresh. The coconut whip is my favorite part. All of their locations are study-friendly spots as well. I was just a little disappointed because they raised their prices again :/

Had delivery from here 3 times so far. First two times were great. Delicious and ingredients in perfect combination. Last time there was barely any Acai. I've ordered the same thing each time so it was weird. In any case, the bowls are always fresh and tasty. The granola is crunchy. The toppings are piled on in a mindful way so things mix well and keep their texture. Can't speak to the rest as this was a delivery order. However, they are always quick here.

Moberi makes delicious açaí bowls and smoothies. They began as a food cart with a bike-powered blender, then went on Shark Tank, and have now expanded to four locations across the Portland metro. While my recent visit did not include a bike-powered anything, it did include their special Ube Bowl. At $12-15, it's not cheap, but it is pretty delicious. Flavors and textures were great and it's a pretty good size. This location on Hawthorne is a good size, with tables and counter seating. It's clean inside and has a fun mural outside. Plus it's located near some other great businesses. Staff was friendly. And they've got some cool merch!

The peanut butter cacao is so yummy! Sweet but not too sweet, very thick and creamy. I definitely recommend trying!

$18 for a large bowl? Sorry... that's insane and insulting. I'm sad I won't be able to return with this price gouging behavior.

I enjoy getting to try multiple dishes for the price of one which is great. So sad they announced they will be closing soon but being hopeful about the future for the restaurant.

I have been wanting to come here for years. Yes years. In my family, we don't really go to brunch…read moreor even breakfast too often. You can tell from my yelp reviews, I don't really have a lot of breakfast reviews. But I had this saved as a must try and it is in NE and not far from our place. So this morning when hubs said our pregnant daughter was coming over for breakfast I jumped at the chance to suggest this spot. In case you don't read the rest of my review, I wanted to comment that the service was really great here and I am pretty sure the nice guy in the front was the owner, but I could be wrong. There was another guy working as well when two of us arrived and the rest were parking and he told us which table would be ours but that we should wait and all order together. But he was really great because when he saw the place start to get busy he reminded us of our table in the corner, kinda letting us know so it wouldn't get snatched. So that earned points in book. The menu is brunchy in that it is a prix fix breakfast menu for $28.50 and there are 3 columns with 4-5 choices. Drinks, savory and sweet items. Boozy drinks are about $10-15 extra. There is also drinking chocolate, teas, coffee or juice. (Orange and grapefruit). The girls said the orange juice was really good. But I can't drink citrus and drinking chocolate would've been too heavy for me, so I opted for coffee. This is the only column that I could take or leave. Savory - all of us I think had something different and not one item was bad. I opted for the popcorn chicken and cheesy grits and it came with a poached egg that had a beautiful gooey egg yolk in the middle. The chicken was crispy and cooked to a crispy perfection on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. The grits were so yummy and creamy as well. *chefs kiss* My hubs ordered the buttermilk biscuits with chorizo gravy and that was also a stellar choice. I had a bite and the biscuits were crisp on the outside and the gravy with the chorizo had such good flavor. Sweet - I had the Tres Leches French toast and once again, it was perfectly crisp on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside with what I assume was a tres leches condensed milk concoction. It came with some berries and cream drizzled around it was perfect. My hubs had the graham cracker waffles and I am going to say it again, crispy and golden on the outside and cooked perfectly. I didn't eat any of the other items that everyone else ordered, like the baked egg and potatoes or the crepes, so I cannot comment on them, but I did take photos to share. But there are so many photos already I doubt mine offer anything new. I'm not usually a breakfast or brunch person but this was really good. 10/10 delicios on every single item and this place gets 6 stars out of 5.

everytime i have carioca bowls, i fall in love with portland even more. the quintessential açai…read morebowl is done with such craft and intentionality here that i can unequivocally say this is the best spot for an açai bowl -- at least in the states and that i know of; though someday i will have to go on an adventure to Brazil, which is where carioca stems from. the açai here is not the sugary type but the real stuff. high quality, fresh ingredients, too. my go-to is the rose city bowl (rio açai, honey mamas chocolate pieces (!!!!!!!), raspberries, banana, cinnamon maca, granola). yum yum! speaking of which, for this gluten free and mostly plant-based human, can we talk about the brazilian bites?!? do yourself a favor and splurge if you can -- one will not be enough. the perfect balance between pillowy and chewy textured with the (in the case of the vegan) vegan cheese ahhhh i've developed a Pavlovian response where i'm salivating. logistics -- street side parking and a cozy seating area with some brazilian beats that define the acoustic ambiance. online ordering is a thing! all in all, food for the soul, friendly folks, and an array of bowls (cold and warm) and smoothies and a breakfast sandwich and avocado toast make this the perfect place for post-workout recovery or in general, a pick-me-up, which is something we all need in today's hustle and bustle. thank you, carioca! i still miss your slabtown spot where i first found you, but i'll happily make the trek!

Ya know, it's weird that this has been in my drafts for forever. But I like this place. I like that…read morethey were down with the açaí bowl situation before it was cool (or at least, before it became de rigeur and/or spread to the damp and drippy PNW). I started chowing down on smoothie bowls in sunny southern California and the majorest of major metros like Manhattan, and it seems like it took forever for the "trend" to spread to our rainy neck of the woods. One could certainly get wheatgrass shots every which where, but smoothie bowls, not so much. ANYWAY, Carioca Bowls was leading the vanguard of delish and genuine açaí bowls in PDX long before it was an expected food variety in all hippie-ish towns in the US. Their bowls meet my exacting ingredient standards: Now that smoothie bowls have gone mainstream, many are just lightly disguised dessert with "health food" marketing: Hidden sweeteners and grody additives pushed on the unsuspecting hoi polloi ruin it for people who don't do their homework. But not Carioca Bowls: You can ACTUALLY get an unsweetened açaí bowl if that's your jam (it's mine: If I wanted dessert, I'd get a cupcake), and they don't drown the top in honey (honey has its place, and that place is far away from me), and drink in the extremely second-wave granola vibes while you're at it. Third-wave hippie food, like third-wave coffee shops, have suffered a loss of soul: Minimalist design, LED lighting, and cookie-cutter staff with vaseline smiles beckoning "welcome in!" with vacant looks in their eyes have sapped a lot of the joy from the spaces serving hippie food and matcha tea. Carioca Bowls remains a comfortingly messy, quirky callback to sincerity: Murals, houseplants, low lighting, a big messy garden-y space outdoors for sitting and chowing, organic unfussy aesthetics that make the whole scene just feel welcoming and comfy. You can eat your bowl here and not feel like you're a nuisance to the staff, or like there's a glaring spotlight on you (unlike SOME smoothie/juice/bowl places I could mention). Nary a whiff of extruded white plastic ANYWHERE in this place. It makes me feel at home, the way a wheatgrass-sniffin', long-hair-havin', big-hug-givin' hippie should feel. When I walk through the door, I feel RELAXED, ya know what I mean? Anyway, give it a try - this isn't my 'hood but I will still occasionally make a pilgrimage just to get a bowl and drink in the vibes. So if I were writing a Michelin guide (buy those tires!) I suppose I'd give this at least a star, as it's worth a special trip (IF you're into what I've described here - it's highly specific, but it's MY vibe). Anyway, long live Carioca Bowls!
