I usually get my açai bowls delivered, but I was on Hawthorne and needed a little pick me up and there was Moberi right in front of me! So I was excited to go inside and try it in real time. It's super cute and well lit inside, everything is clean and they have a nice bathroom! My Rainbow Bright bowl was delicious... While my recent visit did not include a bike-powered anything, it did include their special Ube Bowl. At $12-15, it's not cheap, but it is pretty delicious. Flavors and textures were great and it's a pretty good size. This location on Hawthorne is a good size, with tables and counter seating. It's clean inside and has a fun mural outside. Stopped by with my girlfriend on a hot Saturday afternoon while we were driving by the Hawthorne area and wanted a quick snack. I'm really glad we found this place, because they had exactly what we were looking for. We ordered a medium Uncle Jesse bowl with the acai sorbet base, which is the more "traditional" base you'd get with acai bowls. We also ordered a Johnny Utah smoothie. The Uncle Jesse was surprisingly very delicious. We've had acai bowls in Hawaii many times, and this one actually comes pretty close to those. The acai base was smooth and not too sweet. The creaminess of the peanut butter added lovely textural contrast, and all of the added fruit really makes it feel like you're getting a solid serving of fruit with each bowl. I think the medium size is perfect to share between two people, but if I were hungry or needed a breakfast for myself, I'd probably order a medium anyway. The Johnny Utah also was surprisingly delicious. Usually with kale smoothies, the bitterness of the kale becomes too prominent, but the kale was perfectly balanced here. And the slight hint of mint really brings the smoothie to life. I'd highly recommend getting this! Pricing is pretty reasonable given what you're paying for. They strive to provide quality and healthy options, and I felt like they succeeded in doing so. My girlfriend and I both felt very light and refreshed after our snacks. The interior is extremely casual, and there's several tables that can seat up to 4. There's also some small tables outside that can seat 2, which is where we ate when we visited. It's just a little weird because the tables are so small and the chairs are facing outwards towards the sidewalk, so people can literally be walking right next to you without a barrier in between. If I'm ever back in PDC and in need of a healthy and quick option, I'm going here. No questions asked. read more

I used to go to the Moberi by PSU when I was a student there, and it was always pretty good, but nothing over the top. It's great if you want something healthy and fresh, but it can get a little pricey. I came and got the matcha passionfruit latte, and was really underwhelmed! As much as I stirred, there was just so much passionfruit concentrate/syrup that I could barely taste the matcha. I love eating passionfruits, I always order passionfruit drinks at boba shops or in the form of cocktails, and will always choose passionfruit flavoring over others, so I'm pretty familiar with what I like and don't like. This was way too overpowering, and I wish it had been more subtle so there would be more of a balance between sweet and sugary, and creamy/milky from the matcha. read more
