The Albina Bowl was delicious. Located in a food cart pod with multiple delicious food options. Service was fast, friendly and efficient!

I've been to Native Bowl only TWICE since I've lived in Portland. Which honestly, I feel makes me a terrible vegan. I have had the Buffalo Bowl and the Alberta Bowl. Both times the bowls are HUGE and packed with fresh, vibrant, CRISPY vegetables. The Buffalo sauce was good and that bowl rocked. BUT the Alberta. OH. YUM. The sauce was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious. Spicy and creamy and perfect to accent the other flavors. The garlic tofu was seasoned to perfection as well. I would only change that the cubes are huge lol. I would do them half or even a quarter of the size but hell, the bowl was perfect to me Now I'll be honest, I have a weird thing with places I LOVE in that I like to try EVERY item on the menu. BUT I don't like Teriyaki or BBQ. My husband loves both and I've had bites of his and I don't like them. He however loves the sauces. I won't be able to give an opinion on the bowls with those flavors but to tell you my husband says they're 5 stars. I'll definitely be trying more and will update on my other finds! But this is worth every penny and you'll feel great after eating it!

That hardest thing about coming to Native Bowl is deciding on which bowl to get. They all sounded delicious so I just went with the special the had written on the board. IT was packed full of yummy fiber and protein. Important: make sure you opt for the roasted garlic. They were supper generous with the amount of garlic they gave you, and I felt it made the bowl that much better. It had been awhile since dining at this food truck pod and they have added some great seating areas at either Prost or at Bloodbuzz, which serves, coffee, cocktails and beer. We were able to secure a spot near the firepit at Bloodbuzz, were I also had the Girl & The Sea Cocktail. I would recommend doing the same.

Oh man! Do they do bowls right!!! I got the Morrison bowl. Lightly spicy sauce that is delicious with some roasted garlic on top of the rice and veggies. YUM! This easily will fill you up and you'll have left overs.

Great vegan sport. Couldn't decide which bowl I wanted to try more. The broadway bowl didn't disappoint! I'll be back for the Buffalo!

This evening we treated ourselves to a Hollywood Bowl and a Burnside bowl. Husband had read some great reviews on Reddit and decided to go out of the way and drive over for some take out. And what an AWESOME choice that was! Portions are ridiculously huge and filled with tons of goodies including fresh veggies. Plus, each bowl was reasonably priced! I think the Hollywood Bowl was a bit tastier than the Burnside bowl. The Hollywood bowl reminded me of a vegan gyro but in a healthier bowl form. For sure worth the trek!!

Native bowl offers a variety of bowl options that are full of fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces. Profiles vary from peanut sauce to teriyaki to buffalo and more. Unlike many places, they do not skimp on the vegan protein. Many dishes include a fake chicken (seems like beyond meat) and my bowl was packed full of it! The food cart area is behind a bar, so you can also pair your meal with a pint (if you're so inclined.)

I was looking for a healthy lunch spot and came across this food truck. Asked for the most popular bowl that didn't include a vegan meat substitute. I was recommended the Morrison bowl. Healthy enough, but nothing special. A bit of heat, but the favor of the bowl was underwhelming.

Ask the Community - Native Bowl

Which options are nut free? A lot of vegan food uses nuts, so those of us with severe allergies need a heads up!

The only bowls that have nuts are the Broadway and Albina. They have peanut sauce. We sprinkle sesame seeds on all of the bowls. Sesame seeds aren't nuts obviously but some people are allergic to them. Hope this helps. Thank you!

The owner and his wife greeted us when we came in and we ordered an RBC and a Chicken Asiago which were delicious! We were so excited to eat that we forgot to take pictures! He also gave us free samples of his award-winning Texas Chili and Jalapeno Popper Soup which were phenomenal (I immediately switched my side salad to the 50/50 chili and soup after trying it). He was so, so friendly and had an absolutely infectious passion for food! His food is gluten-free, seed-oil free, and sugar-free so it's a great option for people with celiac disease or other similar food sensitivities! He even gave us a sample of his healthy sugar alternative, Monk Fruit sweetener (which we regrettably forgot to take with us when we left). Let me tell you these are so worth it! I will start by saying these are not like a standard fluffy donut. Mochi style donuts are more like a thick old fashioned donut in the best way possible. Note: I had no soggy centers and it took 3 days to eat them all. Of them all, the horchata pudding was my favorite. The warm and creamy flavor worked so well with it. I will say the frosting and fillings were great alone but I wasn't huge on the brighter flavors (key lime, watermelonade) with the donut.
