One of the best tasting spots for vegan food! I want to try the whole menu. Service is so nice and always friendly. I got the vegan lasagna once and was blown away by how delicious it was. Mouth watering! Another time I got a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. I can't wait to come back, they really do it right. 5 stars all around.

I've found my favorite food in Portland. I've recently revisited the vegan diet and have been cooking at home but am tired of cooking so I looked up some vegan food spots and this was my first choice to try. I got my mind blown as well as my tastebuds. I had the pleasure to chat with Cokiea while she was preparing my food. She is incredibly passionate about her cooking and it definitely shows. I got takeout and was so excited as the garlic bread was smelling DELICIOUS on my drive home! I wanted comfort food and comfort is what I got! I will definitely be returning regularly! This was the best tasting meal I have had in a very long time. I think it's maybe the best lasagna I've ever had.

Food was tasty, doesn't taste vegan, the flavors were well layered and thought out. I did end up having to wait an extra 10-15 minutes on top of the probably 15-20 minutes for her to make my meal, while she processed handing out three orders ahead of me just to place my order. I was going to give up on the line but none of the other food carts sounded satisfactory that day. Glad I waited but not sure I would do it again.

Amazing food! I ordered the small gumbo and a side of potato salad. The gumbo was packed with flavor. I thought I would miss the meat but the cauliflower and beans made up for it! The homemade (no cornmeal) fried okra was great and added crunch. The potato salad was delicious and refreshing. Thank you for the great meal for my meatless Monday.

My pictures do not do this food justice. Everything taste fresh and flavorful. She is cooking it up right in front of you, chopping tomatoes and cutting avocados right there. The portions are ridiculously generous we fed six on three plates. Cokiea is personable and down to earth. Nothing but good vibes and great food. I have to try to stay away.

The one time I came here I had the burger and the peach cobbler, both were delicious! If she can make a regular beyond burger take like that I know her own cooked meals are delicious. I intend to come back to try her more homemade dishes as I'm sure those are jumping. Thank you Cokiea for the mission you're doing in Portland, keep rocking queen! I also really enjoyed talking to her and getting to know her, it made the ambiance all the better.

Soul Bowl (and a friend's plantain she wanted me to taste!)

Soul Bowl with jackfruit. A must have. Rich flavor, crispy seasoned jackfruit, packed with tangy greens and creamy beans, soft Mac noodles. Southern deliciousness and not greasy. Dairy not missed at all! This is gooooood food.

I can't say enough great things about this gem! The flavors are done in such an incredible way complementing each other so effectively. We eat here often and will continue to support this amazing cart. The food is really outstanding! Every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection The menu is very good and lots of options with something for everyone. This food is delicious, flavorful, and cooked to perfection! Best soul food in Portland reminds us of Vegan Mob in Oakland California.

Decided to stop in because I saw great reviews and was looking for good filling vegetarian food. AMAZING. Hands down the best vegetarian food I've ever eaten, if not some of the best food in general I've ever eaten. Prices are so incredibly fair, everything was made to order with organic ingredients and by the food cart owner herself. If you want delicious, hearty soul food you must come here and try it. Even my non vegetarian boyfriend said he wished he didn't get a burger from another cart and got food from her instead.

Lasagna and garden salad. It came out so hot it slid into the container. It's a good sized helping.

It would be a good choice for kids who are picky eaters though and just want some noodles. I've seen the momo and it looks great. People seem to like it a lot too, so I'll order that next time I'm willing to try something new. I've always loved momo, just haven't had it from this particular cart and the last several times I tried a new food cart, it didn't go very well.. But the staff are super nice so I want to support their business if possible. Just a heads up if you have a sensitive stomach or are sensitive to fat content - if you get their chai tea with coconut milk, they don't use the kind meant for drinking like you get from a cafe (the kind of coconut milk in a carton). They use canned coconut milk, like you use for cooking, curries, etc., This does make for a creamier and more coconutty drink, but it overwhelmed the chai flavour and gave me a stomach ache most likely due to the high fat content. I'm just not used to drinking 24g fat in one sitting (believe me if I could, I would!). If I'd known they were using canned coconut milk for the dairy alternative, I don't think I would have ordered it. I'm sure the regular chai tea with dairy milk is delicious though, as what I could get out of the spice flavour seemed tasty. I'll update my review next time.

My 2nd time here. It had been years since my last visit. I remember liking it, but not much else…read more This visit was with my monthly vegan dining group. I appreciated that there was a small parking lot outside the restaurant. As I walked up to the restaurant, it smelled divine! We were a group of 8 people, and we were able to grab a table to accommodate us all. There was a water station that we could help ourselves to. I noticed the carry out containers next to the station..good to know for later. We were given paper and pen to write down our order and hand in when we were ready. All this contributed to no waiting for wait staff. But that's where it ended. The orders started coming out randomly. Several people got their appetizers and entrees before I ever got my appetizer. The same with the guy sitting next to me. The guy next to me ordered jasmine tea, and it was quite a while before he got that. All it was, was a tea bag in a cup of hot water. Most of the group was done with their appetizer and working on their entrees before I got my entree of Lemongrass Chicken. It came with rice. Four large mock chicken breasts, I shared one and still brought one home. It was probably the wrong dish for me. It tasted ok, just really dense, and I'm not used to mock meats. I like mock meats, just not a lot at one time. I should have gotten the Teriyaki Chicken that I saw others ordered, it looked good and came with broccoli. After I was almost done with my entree, my tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce came, my neighbor got his spring rolls at the same time. The spring rolls were good! I love fresh rolls with peanut sauce! Shortly after getting our appetizers, my neighbor got his lamb balls. He said they were good. The flow of serving the food was terribly unorganized. Only one drink was ordered, tea bag in water should have been fast and easy. Appetizers should have been served next, before anyone started receiving their entrees. The guy next to me was starving, I thought he was going to faint. A few people shared a few bites of their meals with him. He just didn't want to eat too much before his meal arrived . Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. If a friend wants to go, I would go. I will know better what to order next time.
