Came here for the first time for a foot massage for 60min $30. You pay up front and are taken into a dimmed room separated by curtains. They switched ladies on me 15minutes into the massage which was fine. They start by putting your feet in a pail of warm water, then start the massage in your head, face, neck. They don't explain much as to what they are doing or using on you and your face, it kind of startled me that she was putting something on my face for a foot massage. The foot massage was great and so was the body massage. I agree with the tip Notation at the front desk, it shouldn't be there, should be based on satisfaction of service. I asked for changed and she gave me two ten dollar bills so I would purposely tip $10 as stated at the desk for a 1 hr service read more

The $30 foot massage is such a wonderful deal! The only negative aspect is that my toes were just a little uncomfortable in the tub as my feet were soaking, but besides that tiny issue, I loved it! I'm kind of picky when it comes to my massages, so this means a lot coming from me! Positives: great full-body massage (about half of the time), along with excellent foot reflexology massage. Very good pressure, but not too much. Excellent understanding of body anatomy and pressure points. Focused on the parts of my body that feel the best when massaged: neck, scalp, hands and forearms, feet, shoulders, back. I actually like not having to strip down for this massage. Just wear some athletic shorts or tights and a t-shirt or running/workout top for the best comfort. Yes, you're only separated by a curtain from others, so it's best when it's not crowded (I went at 2 on a weekday and was the only person), but they usually separate people as much as possible. In the past, the ticking of the wall clock bothered me, but this time a fan and the peaceful music drowned out the ticking. My masseuse was Wendy today, but the other times I've been here (about eight times in all), the masseur/masseuse was just as good. Don't expect a conversation, as they generally only speak Mandarin (except the receptionist). But it's great if you want to practice, "Xie Xie"! read more

Do it. Don't listen to the negative reviews. My wife and I came here before going on a date night and so glad we did. We got the 1 hr Chinese herb foot reflexology massage for $30. They start off by soaking your feet in warm water in a bucket lined in plastic. Some say its cheesy etc. I look at it as protection. When done they throw it away and put a new one in for the next person. If you have a big foot it may be smushed but you can posistion yourself to where it is. Now to the massage. First off My wife and I regularly get deep tissue massages so we like a lot of pressure. The lady that did mine had perfect pressure (strong hands.) Started to fall asleep at one point. My wife's was weak at first but she told the lady and she immediately did it with more pressure. The leg and back massage was good for what little they do since this is a foot massage package. All in all it was worth every penny and my feet were loving me for it. read more

I came here with a local coupon that was $20 in cash for a foot massage. That includes feet, upper back, arms, legs , face and head. I thought the presentation was pretty but they brought me to a room where I sat up in a chair. Massages are always awkward when you first arrive because you don't know how much clothes to lose. The lady who was massaging me didn't even ask if I wanted my clothes on or not so she massaged me with them on. Super uncomfortable. Most of my massage was sitting reclined in a chair. Definitely different, didn't feel at ease. The final part of my massage for my back she had me lay down on my stomach. I wish she had me lay down for most of it. The massage itself wasn't good, she wasn't strong enough to get my Knotts out. It's safe to say I won't be coming back. read more

Best body rub around if you want a massage stay away. But if you want a itchy cream rub come and get it. So sad I pissed 50 dollars just like that for an hour itchy tickle rub and 30 min foot scrub. I felt bad not giving her the suggested $15 because she had some what of a routine down. read more

ELLA is "TOTALLY AWESOME"! I've had her three times so far and each time she did a Deep Tissue massage that was incredible. She delivered the perfect amount of firmness. Deep, without extreme pain that some Deep Tissue massages result in. She knows the body and it's connective tissues, that is obvious and I love that. ELLA!!! read more

Went in for a foot massage and ended up getting an all over massage! It made my whole day better and Amy did an amazing job!!! My mom and I left incredibly relaxed and happy :) I will DEFINITELY be back!!! Thank you!!! read more

Very relaxing and calming! Got all of my tension out! I've been here multiple times and always come out very happy with the service!

Such a lovely experience!! The service was fantastic and my body feels amazing. My sister and I did one hour full body massage and it truly was worth it! Tiffany was incredible and Ivy was so nice at the door. read more

Prices are decent. $40 for a full body massage. The place is nice and clean, pretty standard. Foot massages are on lazy boy couches on the right and it's closed off by curtains. It's cold in the room so she offered to turn on the heated blank, which was a bonus. The massage was just okay. Hardly any pressure, didn't even attempt to work out any knots, and her hands were cold...probably from the lack of pressure she was applying. It really felt like she was just putting lotion on me for 60 minutes. I'd come back, but definitely would ask for someone else. read more

Went to Spa Serenity for the first time today, and it was great! I booked an appointment for 4 people at 5pm at 2pm on the same day and they were very accommodating! We came in a little early and were immediately taken care of! The ladies were very friendly, though they spoke very little English! We ran a half marathon today, so a massage sounded very good! The massage was great! Not too gentle and not too rough! It was great! The price is very affordable ($35 for a 1 hour massage! Where else can you get that?)! I would definitely keep coming back here! All four of us had an amazing experience. This place is definitely our go-to! Especially after a half marathon! read more

Love this place they renew everything and awesome service i love shive here i am their customer since 4 years now 100% recommended!!

Wow! I love Spa Serenity in Poway. Such a nice refreshing, relaxing environment. They do such a wonderful job on making you feel like king and queen. They are so nice and friendly. Their prices are affordable! I have gotten the foot reflexology a couple of times and the full body massage once. Both was Fantastic! The hours Great! I work till 7pm and they are open till 10pm everyday. GREAT JOB TO THE PEOPLE AT SPA SERENITY SEE YA SOON!! read more

I saw the great reviews, and really wanted to try out this place. I called 10 minutes before 9PM, and asked if I can come in for a one hour foot massage, and they were friendly and told me to come on by. I got there right around 9PM. (I believe they close at 10PM.) It's behind Union Bank, and I never even knew this massage place was there. It's very clean and relaxing inside, with very friendly staff. Each area is sectioned off nicely with curtains, and they have comfy massage beds and chairs. They did ask me to pay before my massage because they needed to close the register, and I saw a sign recommending at least a $10 tip for the $25 foot massage. But that is still a great deal. They did a really great job, I felt really relaxed, and they actually do give you a full body massage even though it's a foot massage. I believe they worked on my feet/legs for about 20-30 minutes. I will definitely go back! read more

Really great, relaxing/earthly feeling massage! The minutes went by fast and it was over just like that, i like keeping the oil in my back after though and I don't know why. My Masseuse was very nice and kept asking how it was and how I was doing and feeling. The pressure was perfect, I am definitely coming back next week for a more intense massage, the deep tissuse! And also their service was great, One of the reviews say that the rooms were dim, however, in my opinion the rooms were in the correct lighting. The room was relaxing. After the massage I just felt so much energy and the tension from my body had been reduce! Overall 5 Stars! read more

Amy was Amazing!!! I have never had someone work on the knots in my neck or traps so well! I'd go back to her for sure. I give her 5 stars. Over all experience was a 4 because it was a bit chilly in the room but still comfortable. read more

I asked for a 1 hour full body massage and got a 1 hour rub down instead. The name should be changed from spa serenity to rub down serenity. What a waste of my time and money! read more

My go to massage place. They never disappoint. I've tried so many other places in Poway and no one compares. Great prices too.

Nice looking place. Very luxurious and clean inside. Their masseuse are also good. However, you might face a slight communication problem while talking to them. but otherwise the massage is very relaxing. I specially like their 1hr foot massage. read more

This was seriously the worst massage I have ever had! Amy was my therapist and she spent 17minutes of my 1 hour foot massage dumping bucket of water and getting a hot moist towel. I know this cuz I was laying next to a clock watching and waiting. I frequently go to these types of foot massage places for foot massages, so I know it can be hit or miss, but this was sincerely unacceptable and a crappy massage, if you can even call it a massage. When I left tonight, my back and hip hurt worse than when I arrived from sitting on the very hard uncomfortable massage tables. She did an ok job of rubbing my feet but my back, neck, arms and legs were absolutely pathetic! As I was leaving, I told the woman in the front that this was the worst massage I've ever had and her response was "oh, sorry about that" worst massage! Worst customer service ever! I will never go back here! read more

Best foot massage in Poway!!! Ivy will definitely be my recommendation & I will 100% be back!!! Serenity Spa is nice looking/clean/not shady w/blocked out windows & your greeted by multiple smiling/friendly employees I'm so glad my gf/I stopped in for this last minute service & surprised the price was even better. So if your looking for a massage & want a great recommendation this is the spot!!! One happy customer. read more

This place is great! So affordable and friendly! My daughter and I have gotten the foot massages, and full body massages both very relaxing and amazing! read more

Just had a great massage. Told Ivy my problem areas and she did a great job. It's probably one of the best I've had and I won't be going anywhere else read more

Wow! Amazing!!! They went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience. Leaving feeling refreshed.

I was looking for a local place to get a foot massage, that was quick and effective. I began my search on YELP reviews. Although there was several mixed reviews both good and bad the good out weighed them both. So I called to make an appointment for that day. Wow; not only were the ladies friendly but the place was clean, quiet and soothing. If you've never had a reflexology foot massage your missing out but to get one at Spa Serenity is almost beyond words. This is no average foot massage, it includes face, neck, shoulders and back massage. That's right all of this for the cost of a foot massage. Sherry was absolutely wonderful friendly and great at relieving tension. Thank you ladies for such a great experience. read more

Shirley is the best!!!! She is great at working out my knots and stiffness. I have a lot of stress on my upper back and neck. Shirley as great hands and strong fingers. read more

I went in last night for a foot massage and was treated to more... from my face down to my toes with emphasis on my feet. The pressure was good and results were what I was looking for. I will go back. My son had a full body massage and was also quite pleased. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is because of the sign suggesting customary tips. I believe that should be reflective of the level of service. read more

I'm not going to lie, for a few seconds I was a little concerned this might be a seedy brothel, but when I walked through the doors to the back half I was pleasantly surprised at how luxurious and clean the surroundings were. The massage wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. But then again it was only $25 for an hour and she did get out a nasty knot in my shoulder. I'd go again, for sure. read more

I miss the management that was here when I first started coming here in 2011. Over the years I have become distant with This Location. The consistency in the massage technique has lacked a lot. Starting to feel it's not worth the drive from Carlsbad anymore. I gave them 2 stars simply because of the friendliness, cleanliness and being able to fit me in last minute. Unfortunately due to the language barrier, the massage I was expecting ended up just being nothing more than barely touch of the skin. Normally when the massage is done right, the bad Toxins can felt leaving the body and your nose will be stuffy. Not tonight. :( I guess I'll have to find a new place. read more

I went this afternoon for foot reflexology. I wanted to try this place since I had a coupon. I had the most unpleasant experience with the person at the front desk. She was the most unwelcoming receptionist. She never smiled and said "hi" to me when I walked in. She gruffly led me to the room and called the massage therapist. The massage therapist was nice and sweet. The massage was average. I tipped her $10 as customary. After the massage, I had to go to the restroom. I asked the massage therapist to throw a bag with leftover food. She must not have understood. When I came out of the restroom, I went straight out the front door. I didn't have to check out with the front desk since I already paid. When I was outside and a few yards away, I heard a loud yell "HEY!". I looked back and the person at the front desk was yelling with a scowl and waving the bag that I gave the massage therapist to throw out. I went to get my bag and explained. There was another customer who heard the commotion and she was shaking her head in disgust. I talked to the customer after the incident and she, too, was appalled. Needless to say, I would never go back again. There are other massage places in the area like Cherry Blossom that has wonderful customer service and foot massage. read more

I have been going regularly to Spa Serenity for the past 6 years. The full body sports massage is great. I am an avid runner, and recently I switched from 60 to 90 minutes. It is so worth it. The lady doing my massage covers all from head to toe, and she is always happy to adjust to whatever is bugging me. And they don't cut corners or short you on time, like other places. I highly recommend Spa Serenity to all athletes. read more

We went for walk in because we were thinking getting a massage. They did a good job for me and my friend. They also have a first time client rate with only $5 more for hot stone. The hot stone felt good. We are planning to go back for a facial as well and see if it is as relaxing as the massage. read more

I had an amazing massage and I highly recommend Spa Serenity I will be back! The prices are reasonable and they it was easy to get an appointment same day. read more

I had the worst massage I've ever had at Spa Serenity. I have sensitive skin and I explained that to my therapist before my massage and told her I needed a soft massage. She began waaay to hard. I told her again. I believe I told her at least 10 times during the massage that she was doing it too hard. She would giggle and continue just as hard. I ended up with bruising. I also felt quite exposed during the massage. Previously my massage therapists have done a good job of making me feel comfortably covered. Not so at Spa Serenity. The facility was clean, but there's not a lot of privacy. You only get a curtain that opens up directly into the main hallway. Not ideal considering the above comment about keeping you covered. This was not an experience I would ever care to repeat. read more

Such a lovely experience. Very sweet ladies and nice facility. My sister and I did a one hour body massage and I had a great experience.

This was the worst massage I've ever had in my life. I asked for the 1 hour deep tissue and it was basically a rub down. She spent a long time just rubbing lotion on me. It was awkward but I did speak up several times. I asked if she could massage harder and she said ok later. But, she never did. She would leave the room and come back. With all the options we have in San Diego, do not go here. Worst in business!! read more

Spa Serenity is the best massage for the price in Poway. Clean, legit, courteous, competent. They can usually accommodate you as a walk-in. The only frustration is that they have a high turn-over of massage therapists and you can't always be sure of getting the same one each time...even when you make an appointment with that person. read more

Surprisingly nice day spa. Everything looks new. Spa rooms are nice and music was relaxing. Deep tissue massage wasn't that great. Swedish massage was pretty good. Overall it's the best massage for the price. $40 per hour for full body massage. I've had many "far east" Swedish massages and it reminded me of that. I'd definitely go back. However, they don't ask a lot of questions so if you expect communication you will have to initiate. read more

Went for a full body massage. The therapist's hands smelled of smoke. Really? Not a fragrance I want on me. He seemed to be enjoying the experience more than me. Get the picture? I haven't been back since February. Should I return, I will be certain NOT to get him! read more
