Fire alarm was pulled out of the ceiling. The whole room should be for storage. Massage was inconsistent. Normally they spend equal amount of time on each side and do similar things. My masseur spent maybe half the line on my left side than she did on the right. She also used different techniques on each side, and there was no reason for it. Also, I got the CBD upgrade, but I know she didn't use it but charged me for it. They say it is controlled, so the from desk lady poured it in a cup for the massage lady to add it to the cream. When I was dressing, I saw the oil still in the cup. I didn't question it at that point because I just wanted to get out of there and had a gift card, so I wasn't going to come back anyway to use the rest of the money. Maybe their other locations are better, but don't go here.

I told the esthetician that I have sensitive skin and to please adjust products accordingly. She told me I was wrong and didn't have sensitive skin. I should have left then but I thought once she looked at it under the light she would see I was correct. Oh how I was wrong. I even told her during the facial that my skin was a tingly and felt funny. Im kicking myself for not getting up and leaving then too. So now I'm having to schedule a dermatology appointment because my skin looks like strawberry. It is red and itchy and burns. They may do ok with skin that isn't sensitive but I don't recommend even trying it with sensitive skin. Also don't add on the additional massage. It wasn't a real massage. Pressure was light and that is being generous. It felt more like she was putting lotion on my skin. With all the places in St Louis, I would find a different place for a facial and massage.

Best of all when u book a 60 or 90 minute massage u get one! I've had massages with five different therapists due to my erratic schedule and each time I left renewed....hence my use of the word "empathic" above as my past experience when switching to a new therapist provided so-so results until they got to know me. That has not been my experience at Indigo. They also offer yoga classes and skin care treatment. I've had one acupuncture session (my first ever) and I'm planning my next session now. My only other comment here is about Peter, the acupuncturist. He's demeanor is calming and he presents an intelligence that instills trust. Something I needed as I prepared to have thin needles stuck in my face, hands, legs and feet. As I laid with my eyes closed I thought there was a delay to begin until he told me he was finished applying all the needles and to just relax. Yes, I felt nothing. It was a unique moment and created a very relaxing state. And now to make Indigo even more convenient they have opened a second location in Maplewood to complement their Benton Park location. Each have a unique vibe but both provide a great experience. And to put sprinkles on convenient they utilize an app called MINDBODY that allows u to schedule your massage in :30 seconds. They have competitive rates and a Wellness plan that makes it even more affordable. My only problem is not coming here sooner.

While you wait for your service, they have a Keurig for you to make tea or coffee while you wait which was nice. I had an amazing hydro facial by Mi. It was so refreshing and rejuvenating!
