Great nail salon! When my regular salon couldn't keep my appointment, I tried Spa Nails after a friend recommended. They got me in immediately and did a great job! Rachel did a great job on a collagen manicure and it was amazing. It costs a little extra but well worth it. They offered me wine, water or soft drink which is a nice touch. If you look at the pictures they speak for themselves, this is not a professional workmanship that you should spend over $100. My first experience here was great, the workers were super nice and friendly. BUT, ever since my first experience, it seems like the business is only worried about money, not their customers. Now, they will find every little possible thing to charge you for. Length, certain colors, shape, you name it and they'll find a new price to tack on to it. They will have the owners come around to each table and approve every little decision you make (type of nail, shape, length, color, design) and give a price for it, because if the workers do not get everything approved and undercharge you, it will come out of their pocket! My brother went, got a full set of acrylic with regular polish, and was charged $45!!!!!!! When at any other nail salon, that set would be $28-$30. He got the shortest length possible, but got one nail on each hand a different color and somehow they jacked up the price. Rip off to customers. I tried this place bc I'm new to Lexington from NY and am looking for a new nail spot. This place seemed to have nice designs and a variety of specialty nails ( chrome, pixie etc) however - their prices are absolutely ridiculous. I asked for a price ( since I've never been there) and the manager came over and gave me a price quote: $37 for reg sns, 8$ for sugar nail (1 nail) and $10 dollars for two nail designs. The design was black nail polish w three stripes on each nail... for $10. Then the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard... extra $4 bc my nails weren't short. My nails had just got done once before going in there, and I had a little length from the growth from the last time. ( they were my real nails nothing long- I type all day I can't have long nails) They were not long. He basically cut them so short and spent so much time making them short to avoid this $4 charge I feel like they wasted their own time and money getting them shorter and shaped than if he has just left the regular length they were at. I think this place is a rip off and they only care about money. No cuticle oil or and hot towel or lotion, all my cuticles were burning bc he had cut me with the drill. Aside from that within a week 2 nails broke, and they're not even at all! They just want ur money there's better places in Lexington - I do not recommend and I'll never go back. Hopefully they never go to the east coast bc they would never make it there. UPDATE: response to manager: yes you did tell me the price which is why I got what I got instead of what I wanted -bc it was a rip off. I've been getting my nails done since I was 16 and never ever was charged bc my nails had some length. I think u can agree they were not long and 4$ is RIDICULOUS. And thank you for showing that u do not include the hot towel/lotion or anything with the already high price of $37 for sns. I went here to get an acrylic fill, not a big deal. I came out with my cuticles bleeding and feeling like I had gotten played. I'd gotten my nails done there a few times before and the service was always decent, but a little pricey. When I was already halfway done with my service, the owner came over and told me almond nails would be a $5 surcharge... for what?! I'd gotten it done there several times and never paid extra for the shape... The woman who did my nails didn't talk to me at all, just kept tugging me and being extremely aggressive with my hands. She would pull my fingers when she wanted them closer to her so that I was physically over the table, and would shove them back at me when she was done. Coming here is all about the person you get to do your nails. I used to love coming here, except the passed two times I haven't had the best experience. My dip powder was uneven and too thick when I asked for thin layers. My gel manicure I received last thursday by Brian, I was cut on my nail bed. It is still not healed and bled the entire appointment. Not only this, he used the dirty towel to clean the cut and stop the bleeding instead of alcohol. Just popped in for a walk-in and they took me pretty quickly. There were plenty of gel polishes to choose from and everything was very clean. The person who did my nails was very educated and explained an irregularity I had on one of my nails that no other nail salon has ever explained. The nail tech went above and beyond and told me a product to help it and had me pull it up on my phone to make sure it was the right one! The gel manicure was fairly priced and lasted for 2-3 weeks so I was happy. They only accept cash tips but have an ATM in there! read more

I received a gel manicure that should typically last 1-2 weeks. Within three days the polish began falling off. Due to my work schedule I was not able to return to the salon until day 5, at which time only 3 nails were still painted. They told me they could not fix their faulty work because they only have a 3 day policy to fix chipped or broken nails. I was told that my only option was to pay full price for another manicure 5 days after I had already paid for one. Clearly they know they are doing subpar work if they are not willing to guarantee their work past 3 days. I think they know it won't last longer than that. Terrible terrible customer service. I made an appointment days in advance for 6 pm on a Monday. Me and a friend, two pedicures and one SNS. Instead of someone working on my nails and toes simultaneously, they finished my toes first and then started working on my nails. No biggie. But when I sat down it was clear that the guy working on my nails was ready to get out of there for the day. He was aggressive and rude. He was in such a rush to leave that he made all of my nails noticeably uneven. Usually I won't say anything if the nails are a little different. But I had to ask him to fix every single nail. While he was doing this other employees were turning off lights and music and walking past us. It was 7 pm which should have been one hour before closing. It was all very passive aggressive. I made the appointment days in advance I was not a walk in and the salon was not busy. Horrible experience. On top of that I got my regular color so I know what the shade should have looked like. He was in such a rush that he did significantly less layers it was a completely different color. Two nails broke two days later. Rude rushed and inconsistent. read more

Unfortunately I didn't have a relaxing experience. The facility is very beautiful and your offered a beverage. I came on vacation with my boyfriend and was treated very poorly by a technician completing my pedicure. Her attitude towards me was very unkind when I asked her about a nail polish type (crackle look). Her cutting tone and response was "I don't know what you want! just pick something!" As she waved her hand dismissively towards me. It made me feel bad. She didn't share her name but she was older (wore glasses to clean and paint my nails). DO NOT GO HERE!!! The worst SNS I have EVER had!!! Lifted after 5 days!!! AND IT GETS WORSE!!! This was the first time going there and they had good reviews, so although it was late they let me make an appointment to have the powder dip (SNS) Tech, Ken, seemed to be very impatient while I picked out my color. After removing the old dip he informed me there was a $5 charge for longer nails and if he cut them it would be $3 extra. I chose long because he seemed so irritated that he had to take the time to do more. He was not very friendly at all. He rushed through the whole process (ENDED UP PAYING $45). After applying 2 coats of the top coat I notice it was very thick and gritty and one of the nails had a whiteish bump on it. He said it was a sparkle. I let it go and I wish I hadn't, after 5 days 2 of my nails started lifting! I'd give 3.5/4 stars out of 5. Made an appointment for a pedicure for myself and my friend. We still had to wait 10 minutes. Then right before my nails were getting painted the lady told me that because I had two colors it was $3 more (I had red and green for Christmas). No more paint was being used. It was every other toe. Every Christmas I do that and this is the only place that has charged extra. My friend and I splurged for the volcano $47 pedicure which was nice but for them to upcharge even more at last minute is ridiculous...they already have colors that are $5 more they mentioned before it started. I just felt very nickel and dimed. You have to tip with cash which is also ridiculous I had to use ATM to pay $3 fee there. We also bought wine so gave them plenty of business. Pedicure turned out great but won't return due to the extra costs I've seen nowhere else. read more

First, this salon has a great atmosphere. It's comfortable, the technicians are smiley and friendly, and overall the customer service seems great off the bat. My experience was awful. My mother and I came here together for a mani/pedi, and the tech who did my pedicure was inattentive and distracted the whole time. While she buffed my nails, she seemed to look everywhere but at my feet, and twice she buffed too low and broke the skin around my cuticles. They were bleeding, so she poured alcohol on them. Two weeks later, my feet are still sore and bruised. She did a horrible job on both my hands and feet. It was all done very hastily and after a week the gel polish was chipping. She remained inattentive the whole time I was there. When I complained to the manager, he apologized and took $7 off of my total. When I complained further, he gave me a gift certificate. I still paid $60 for the worst mani/pedi I've ever had. I was unable to get the name of the tech, but I will not be returning. I hope others don't have a similar experience. read more

The only time I post reviews is when I'm in love with a place but this is quite the opposite so you know it had to be a bad experience. After being a customer for 2 years I can confidently say I will not be coming back. I went in with a friend who I highly recommended the nail salon to because we wanted to get pedicures. As we went to sit at the chairs, the man doing my pedi gave me a disgusted look as I rolled up my jeans. First and foremost, when I choose to shave is none of his business and I would appreciate not being looked at like that. During the pedicure I was never asked what kind I wanted so I guess I paid for a regular pedicure(paint removal, nail cut down, cuticular removal, and some lotion before applying the new color) which cost me $30. I usually get the deluxe but I was fine with this. When it was time to check out I handed my nail tech my loyalty card. At this time I explained to him that I frequently travel from my home in Florida to Lexington which is why I have so many half filled cards that were stapled together BY THE MANAGER Kim, who told me it would be fine and that I could use my $10 off next time I came in. He went to the manager and came back to point to me where it said non-combinable. I totally understand that but the last time I was in the MANAGER told me it was fine and that it would be taken care of. They basically told me I would have to go in and fill up each card separately before I could get a discount. After I unhappily paid, the manager was no where to be found. Unfortunately, customer service like that is an F in my book. I'd rather spend my money at an establishment that actually cares about their customers instead of how much money they can get off of them. read more

While the quality of the work is fine, the staff member who provided my service was incredibly rude. After the first layer of gel polish was put on my toes, I questioned whether it was the color I had chosen and stated that I thought I had asked for a color that was lighter. The woman and I were not able to effectively communicate because of a language barrier. She repeated over and over that this was the right color as she continued to put it on. Not wanting to be rude or cause a scene, I allowed her to finish my toes, accepting that I could get them redone elsewhere. After she complete my nails, she brought over the polish board and pointed at the color she put on my toes, which was the one I had told her was too bright. I will not be returning here. My nail technician, Katie, was finding every little thing to up-charge me on. First, $2 extra for one tip, that she busted. She then did not even file my tip. Second, she called the manager over to see if my REAL nails were long enough to qualify for a $5 up charge, which they were. My friend's nail was bleeding and her nail technician, Anny, although she was very nicer, left a black hair under her polish. To top it all off, I am a student which qualifies for a 10% discount. So when you walk in the place looks really small, but then you realize there's two sides so it's pretty big and it's pretty nice. Got my pedicure and that was amazing, but when it came down to getting a basic full set they wanted to charge me more to cut the nail to medium length. And told me that the normal size is Barely a nail. There is no sign of reference to how long is long. I believe once I request the original nail to be cut it should be fine. The pedicure tech help me to pick out the SNS color to match my toes. When it was time there was some miscommunication between the pedicure tech the manicure tack the manager and myself. I thought the color that was brought the first time was incorrect because it was questioned and the manager told the nail tech to help me find one to match. My toes are pink and my nails or a reddish coral? Response: I took the high road, in your salon, by walking away, when you strongly replied to me in front of others customers. I choose my colors, when you came to me stating, do you really want this hot pink? Not using SNS often, you coming to me made me become unsure. You asked my nail tech to help pick a better ocolor. I only stated I wanted to match my toes. The lighting is tough to judge, but for the price and customer service, I was very unhappy.
