I have NEVERR in my life been kicked out of a Salon. We are paying for a service. They kicked me out because I was "too picky" and by too picky was because I wanted ballerina shape which I came in with and usually get done elsewhere. I compromised to the square she forced. Then, when adding tips I asked if they had flat tip instead of the curved because my natural nails tend to separate from them and break she had the manager man come and they both yelled at me and kicked me out. She refused to tell me her name. They removed my old nails so now I have to go to my usual salon and ask them to complete the service??? If I could rate 0 stars I would. I've been going here for almost a year. I find Sam,Amy,Lucy and the rest of the staff are fantastic. I've had my nails done several times and a pedicure. They always do a good job and take their time. If I ask for art they are happy to accommodate as long as I bring a picture of what I want and they feel like they have the skills for it. I had my nails done on Saturday evening and by Sunday evening the topcoat was peeling off of my nails, the SNS powder did not even cover my whole nail and was very light. Someone had asked me if I had ombre nails because of the color was so light I went back and talk to the manager, and he stated he would only fix the topcoat and that the rest of it was my fault because I should have told the nail tech she wasn't doing a very good job. I did not know until after she was finished and they were closing and was trying to rush me out the door also they charge you to takeoff your old nail polish, which is absurd. Sam did an incredible job on my sns nails. I am a little particular on my shape and how thin I like my nails and he was more than accommodating - the prices are great and he didn't try and upsell me, in fact he made suggestions that saved me money! He does take his time which I prefer over someone rushing. Make sure you have carved out enough time to not feel rushed. Even better if you call ahead and make an appointment. Not the best and not the worst nail experience I've had. Expect to spend some time here if you're getting your nails done. A pedicure and gel nail took me over 2 hours. They are very meticulous and do a good job but expect a slow process. The prices are slightly expensive but I loved how my nails came out so I can't complain. They also haven't chipped yet. Vi is your girl for all things nail design. Besides her, they don't really do nail design so if you're going for something complicated- chose elsewhere. Terrible customer service. The nail tech thinned out the polish three times causing the polish to clump and not apply evenly or as the color that I chose. When I told her that I would like to use a different polish that wasn't clumpy she got mad and started yelling. Which was the final straw for me because the job she did before the polish was terrible and my nails were crooked. I didn't make a big deal out of the crooked nails because I knew that I could fix the shape at home, but the disrespect is inexcusable. read more

I never get my nails done anywhere else. This place has the lowest in prices in Lexington - I've done my research. The owner Sam and his wife do amazing work! They don't rush you like other places, and my nails are always filed and shaped perfectly. Be sure to make an appointment as they do not have many technicians. I had my second visit to this nail salon today. Since I do my own manicures, I've only had pedicures but my think they do a pretty good job! They are very affordable ($25 for a basic pedicure at the time of this posting) and have great attention to detail. I've walked in in the late afternoon between 2-4pm in week days and they were able to seat me right away. I never feel rushed and the attention to detail is very good. They'll clean up any little mistakes with a paint brush and acetone after they're done. The guy who did my pedicures also have a substantially longer massage than most. Check it out! read more

Extremely disappointed. I've come here for years and have highly recommended this place to many many people but I won't be back. This past 2 times have been less than decent. I told the guy who was doing my nails several times a few things that needed changed and he got very frustrated. When you're paying $25 for a manicure I'd expect more. At the end of my manicure I tried to be extremely and overly polite yet honest about my dissatisfaction and his response to me was "well if you don't like it I can take it off and you can leave without anything on your nails". First, do not go here unless you want to spend 2+ hours, not even including a pedicure. Second, I had gone there because my normal place was closed and I wanted matte. I normally get acrylic fill in with a color change. Not only were they smudged the second I walked out of the door, I come back the next day to get them fixed, as they told me to, and they couldn't get me in because they were too busy. I go back the day after that, another two hours, and I wanted to add a butterfly sticker on my ring finger. She specifically asked if I wanted it straight or a little turned to which I said straight. She placed it on there and surprise, it was crooked. I said don't worry about it, just paint them normally, visibly disappointed, and she responded with slight frustration. To top it off, I come to find that my nail chipped again ten minutes after leaving!! Do not go there if you want quality work!! Only somewhat good thing about it are the prices. read more

This place is quite possibly one of the WORST NAIL PLACES IN THE STATE... maybe even this side of the Atlantic.... We walked in and not one person said anything to us, it wasn't until we asked 25 minutes in they finally acknowledged our presence... we kept asking the wait time .. "15 minutes 15 minutes ok just wait" this went on for about an hour and ten before I finally asked the man wtf was going on and if y'all can't accommodate us, don't let us waste half the day in your FDA disapproved establishment. They had no problem partying with their friends that walked in, but god forbid they even look our direction while we suffer. This isn't our normal place, and we came because ours is closed on Sunday.... Lord knows we will not be back and anyone who goes here is looking for a rip off and 25 days off their life. if i could have given no stars i would have! this was a total waste of my money. i went in a few days ago and had very high hopes from a friends recommendation but unfortunately was let down considering im writing a review. went in for a full set basic acrylic, almond shaped (which he charged me extra for) and one color paint. the man doing my nails gave me the longest CLAWS ive ever had and when i asked for them to be shorter he actually had the nerve to complain. after having the acrylic placed on my nails i spent at least 20mins trying to scrub the rest of the acrylic off my hand, on top of that my fingers were extremely heavy, why? because it seemed like the nails tech had place enough acrylic on each nail to cover several nails. this is ridiculous and i wont be back and i suggest you save your hard earned money ! read more
