Izita was very friendly and knowledgeable. The salon is clean. But It's been 5 weeks and most of the wrinkles treated with 40 units of botox have already started to return. I'm not sure if I wasn't treated with the correct amount or if the bottle of botox wasn't strong or had spoiled or what but I have received 30-40 units from other spas for the past 2 years and have always been happy with my results for at least 4 months. I'm 40 years old. 30-40 units would be standard for treating almost all wrinkles. When I went in for my follow up I was treated with 4 more units for places missed and there has been no change in 2 weeks in those areas either. I also paid another $9 a unit so In total nearly $400 and I dont see much change other than the lines between my eyes, which were not that bad to begin with. Contacted the spa with photos and they basically told me I had received amazing results. They said I should come in so they could explain why the Botox may not have had the desired effects. Sadly- a big fat waste of $400. Now I have to take my business elsewhere. read more

I came here for my PRP microneedling. This was supposed to be my 2nd time doing the procedure. I made my appointment for 4 pm however I had something came up at the office so I called and spoke with Nichole (Receptionist) and told her if she could move my appointment to 4:30. I said I would be there at 4 pm because I know they need to numb me. She said she would talk to the nurse. After a few minutes, I received a text saying my appointment is at 4:30 pm. So I called her at 4:03 pm and told her that I was in the corner. At 4:06, she opened the door and told me that they would let me in but next time, I need to make sure that I would come 30 mins before my scheduled time. I said yes, something just came up at the office. The nurse numbed my face and prepped me and told me that instead of 30 mins, she would cut the numbing time to 20 mins. I said that is fine because I have been getting microneedling already in the past. She drew blood twice, one in my right arm and the other on my right hand. When she drew blood from my right hand, she said there was not enough blood coming out so she took the needle away. The blood then was dripping on my jeans, my hand and on the floor (which Nichole wiped out after a few minutes). She looked concerned because of the blood and was calling on Nichole to help her. She made sure that she cleaned the blood off of my jeans. I said to not worry about it but she insisted so I thanked her. I have a feeling that they didn't want any evidence or something to prevent me from taking any pictures or complain. After a few minutes, she said another nurse (Rocky, the one who performed my PRP microneedling last time) is on her way to draw the blood since she was successful the last time. Rocky came and told me that she would perform the PRP (she will just help) and the other nurse will perform the microneedling. So the other nurse told me that the Manager (Lisa) doesn't want them to pay overtime so she needs to leave the office at 4:50. Meaning the procedure needs to finish at 4:50. She then said that it would be better to get a refund and try to reschedule another appointment because since it was already 4:40, she would only make one pass and will be done. She even added if I was her sister, she would advise the same thing because it is expensive and that my money would be wasted. So I was like, okay, then I better reschedule my appointment then. I even thanked her for being honest with me. When we went to the front desk, I saw Rocky on the phone (probably talking to Lisa) and then smiled at me and went outside. So Nichole told me that according to her Manager, I would get refunded on Monday and that I won't be able to buy any service from them anymore. And then she went on and on about the hassle of rescheduling my appointment on the same day and that she only accommodated me and the price of $200 expired last March. So I told her then why would they reschedule my apointment to 4:30, accepted me at the door, and schedule me if the price expired in March? It just doesnt make sense. I even showed her the text that I received saying my appointment is at 4:30 pm. She then went to the door, opened the door and said I will let you out and my manager will refund the money either on Monday or Tuesday. I felt humiliated! She was arguing with me and then when I kept arguing asking her why would they still accept me, reschedule my appointment to 4:30 if they will not finish t he procedure? I told her I was just going by the recommendation of the nurse and that I was concerned that I would only have less than 5 minutes for the microneedling because by 4:50 she needs to get out. It won't make sense if it was already 4:35 and they still need to do the PRP (which takes about 10 mins? I think) and be out there at 4:50? She opened the door and let me out and kept telling me that I will get refunded. This place is such disgusting in terms of customer service. The kind of people (except for the Nurse) who was honest with me in this place has no customer service skills, including that Manager. Because before Nichole talked to her, she was nice and accommodated me. Such a shame that I got treated that way! And yes, I will just take my business elsewhere! I received a coupon for a free facial after getting my rhinoplasty done with Dr. Reichner just over two years ago. I was amazed at the technology they had to detect imperfections in the skin. They took pictures of my skin and showed me where potential lines and aging were going to show through my skin. The staff was super sweet and explained to me my options on what type of facial I could get. The ambiance there is very relaxing and my facial felt amazing. I ended up purchasing some of their retinol products - which I loved! It's not very often I treat myself to facials, but I will definitely be going back to Spa Asthetica in the future! read more

Best medical I have been to by far! The girls and staff are so accommodating and nice; they make you feel right at home. I got Botox there and it stayed on my forehead, elevens, and crows feet so strong I usually go every 3 months and it's been 3 months and still lasts. I love my lips! My review is for Juvederm lip injections. I was a little hesitant to try this place out due to almost no Juvederm lip injection reviews. It was my first time getting them done and my friend came with me to watch. Joy (the one who injected my lips) was super sweet and patient. She answered all of my questions and listened to my preferences in the way I wanted my lips to look. I got my lips done Thursday and by Friday night my lips looked amazing. On Saturday they went down significantly. Now I want a little more to give me the look I had when they were a little swollen lol. I highly recommend this place. Worst service EVER! I purchased an IPL treatment on Plum District and was so excited to finally remove all of my brown spots due to sun damage. Unforuntately, I was so disappointed and appalled by the customer service I received prior to the treatment that I actually chewed out the esthetician and walked out! My first impression of the spa? It's in a really ghetto location (right across the street from CHOC hospital in a strip mall next to Taco Bell and Carls Jr. - I definitely locked my doors in the parking lot)! I was greeted by Elvira (seriously, she looked like the scary, creepy Halloween character with really bad over- botoxed lips...yuck). If they think that's a good first impression, then that's their first strike. Lisa, "the doctor's wife" then came out of the room (with a serious chip on her shoulder and a holier than thou attitude) and directed me to a chair to take pictures of my face to look at the sun damage. She hardly said more than five words to me, and again, had a seriously bad attitude. (Second strike.) We then proceeded to walk into the room to begin the consultation and treatment. I sat down in a chair where they perform the IPL treatment, and jokingly, I said "boy, this looks like the electric chair!" and she just looked at me and said nothing. She proceeded to "quiz" me and asked me (in a really condescending way) what I know about IPL. I answer her, but she kept asking me "well, what else do you know" (as if my answers were not good enough for her). (Third and final strike.) At that point, I'm totally pissed off at this lady, Lisa, who is extremely rude, arrogant, and condescending...all of the opposite things I should feel at a spa, right?! I finally had enough of her and her horrible attitude! I proceed to tell her off -- telling her that she is a total bitch and is super condescending and rude. There was no way, at that point, I was going to let her work on my face with a laser for fear she would retaliate! I walked out of the room totally pissed off and made my way back to the receptionist to asked to speak with the manager to report this horrible behavior. Lisa then comes out and says "I'm the manager". WOW! Horrible role model! I told her that she needs to have some self introspection and realize that she comes across as very arrogant, rude and bitchy! These attributes are unacceptable in a spa!!! Period!!! I've never in my life chewed someone out like that before, but Lisa totally deserved it. She may be the "doctor's wife and owner, but WOW.....she needs to get over herself and start putting the clients comfort first. How does this place have 4.5 stars?? I should have read through the reviews instead of just glancing at the overall, but avoid this place like the plague if you have any acne issues or even care about your hard earned money. I've had all the same issues I've read about it in some of the other reviews, so let me tell you my story. To keep this as short as possible, I went in for two facials 1-2 months before my wedding to deal with some over dryness (thank goodness I wasn't the bride cause of the number they did on my face). I did two enzyme facials which actually caused acne on my face, only to be compounded with the PCA three step care system they put me on going forward. I had to go in a THIRD time 2 days before my wedding cause my skin had gotten SO BAD and I needed a cure fast, and this is where the story gets good. The aesthetician's there and on site "nurse" tried to tell me I maybe had a herpes or shingles outbreak even though I repeatedly told them I've never had a cold sore in my life. So they enlisted the help of the owners (which I guess one is a nurse and the other a doctor) and finally it came down that I had a "topical induced infection", from all the crap they had given me. Oh but there's more, my aesthetician tried to tell me at first that it was because I had "been picking my face", and that's why I had the infection. If I didn't have horrible new acne from your product, why would I have touched my face in the first place?! So I switched over to their other product line and that still didnt work and guess what, the owners grossly overcharged me for that as well. Not a thing good to say about this place. They oversell their overpriced products and the girls don't know much who are in the office. Spend your money (and much less of it) somewhere else. read more

Worst service ever! I RARELY give poor reviews, but just had to share my experience. I would give Spa Aesthetica a zero star, but that's not possible. Here's the scoop... I needed to have enzymes injected to help dissolve fillers previously injected. I called the office and asked a lot of questions and decided to schedule an appt with Dr. R. The girl whom I spoke with (when I made my appt) specifically told me the cost would be $50, because I specifically asked what the cost of the enzymes would be. The price sounded reasonable, since my normal doctor told me he'd inject the enzymes for free, but was out of the country conducting a seminar and I'd have to wait a month. I ended up booking an appt with Dr. R for the dissolvable enzymes along with Botox. Since I've seen Dr. R in the past, and was happy with the results, my intention was to also have him inject new fillers after the enzyme dissolved the old stuff. Long story short, the doctor injects the enzymes and Botox and I'm feeling great. I walk to the lobby to settle my bill and the admin girl tells me the total - $784. $784!!!!???!!!!! Are you kidding me?! I thought it was a joke. Then she proceeded to tell me that the enzymes, which I was told would be $50, were actually over $500! Mind you, my other doctor told me he'd do it at no cost. She APOLOGIZED for my being told the wrong amount. Feeling combination of shock and the fact that I'm an honest person, I paid the bill and left. Before leaving, the inarticulate girl proceeded to assure me she would settle the problem and would give me a credit to be used toward a later service. About a week after the ordeal, said girl calls to tell me I have a $100 credit on my account to be used toward my next visit. Days after, my hubby and I experience the death of one of our parents. Needless to say, I didn't focus on a follow-up with Spa Aesthetica. Fast forward 6 months (Oct '13), I wanted to have some freshening up done, after all of the stress recently experienced. I think to myself, "I'll use the measly $100 credit toward some Botox and while I'm at it have a facial and maybe book a filler". So I schedule an appt, but call shortly thereafter to make sure the credit I have is still valid - because you never know with these folks. You can image my surprise, once again, when the manager tells me my credit could only be used toward juvaderm or restyline. Meaning they'd be making money off of the dishonest business they transacted with me months back. At this point I just tell her to remove my information and discard the credit because I will never be back. Her response is, "Ok, but if you change your mind and want to schedule an appointment just give us a call." The comment was a bit stepford'esque and creepy. I'm a brand marketing exec - in the beauty industry no less. I love it, because I love the user experience and love making peoples lives easier. A bonus is that I just so happen to be damn good at it. Noting this, I can expertly say that the way in which my case was handled was the epitome of the "what not to do" part of marketing a brand or service. With so many amazing medical spas in OC, it's a buyers market. Meaning, the seller needs to make sure to keep the buyers happy. I live in Newport Beach, exercise at some amazing places with women Spa Aesthetica would love to have as clients. I've decided to go out of my way to tell EVERY SINGLE one of my friends and acquaintances about my user experience at Spa Aesthetica, urge them to tell their friends and to never spend a penny here. Spa Aesthetica doesn't employ the sharpest tools in the shed, however Dr. R is amazingly talented with the needle and is a very pleasant fellow. Though all of Dr. R's expertise makes up - ten fold - for the common sense and and (even) moderate intelligence his admin staff lacks, I would not recommend this place. I simply think the service here has plummeted to a point that does not warrant a respectable spot of "go-to" medical spas in Orange County. read more

Always been a fan of this place; a trustworthy practice with credible aestheticians. I always get chemical peels here and they DID wonders for my complexion. I never really had any complaints about their work, even when they jacked up their price in service and products, I still came back when I can or have the money to splurge on myself. But this past week I had to cancel last minute and they charged me $50 bucks for cancellation fee. Yes, I'm aware of their cancellation policy, but as a loyal customer for 3 years, I thought they would have the generosity to waive this one time incident, or at least only penalize me for something less than 50. -_- that is a lot of money you're taking from a customer that has sticked with you for so long. On top of that, there quality of work is not what they use to be. My old aesthetician (who doesn't work here anymore) was wonderful. She was very nice and never tried to sell me any products, yet my face still turned out flawless. Now, even after 3-4 sessions, it doesn't look much different. My new girl, on many occasions, will bring up the store's products that will help my complexion change faster..... When I ask for a peel that will give me better results, she said it'll be another $10 for another layer of peel. Jesus, that was never the case before. Im never one to complain, but this last incident rub me the wrong way and made me realize I'm wasting a whole lot of money when I can go somewhere else. I got there a half hour earlier than my appointment to fill out the paperwork. While waiting, the semi private waiting lounge was nice (the cucumber/ lemon water was REALLY good), but the woman who was supposed to give me a faical came out and told me she had overbooked and couldn't do it this evening, and could I come back tomorrow? I said that was fine and set the appointment for the next day at 10. She then called me a few hours later and told me they weren't open on Saturday and told me they would be open again starting Monday. Two cancellations in 1 day?!? I have been going to Spa Aesthetica for laser hair removal and monthly chemical peels for about 1 year. I cannot sing their praises enough! After only a few sessions, my underarm hair was practically gone! And the skin in that area was so smooth. This was a huge concern for me, due to the terrible ingrown hairs I had from waxing. Lisa is amazing, fast, and so knowledgeable. It was so easy, with minimal pain. I also highly recommend the chemical peel packages! They are so affordable, and have really changed my skin's texture. I was suffering from hormonal acne and Wendy has been so amazing at choosing the best treatments for my skin problems. I honestly cannot believe the difference in my skin in just a few months!! If you're thinking about doing laser hair removal I definitely recommend this spa. I've done a lot of research about laser hair removal and finally bit the bullet and did it. I've struggled with ingrown hairs and waxing for a long time and nothing seemed to be working for me. So I thought it was time to take the next step. When I originally called for more information the girls at the front were really helpful and knowledgable. Although their hours aren't my favorite (I work during all of them) they were able to accommodate me as best they could. A good friend of mine recommended spa aesthetica to me and I'm glad she did. I was able to find a groupon for $349 (large area) that included six sessions. Joy was the registered nurse that assisted me. She made me feel pretty comfortable for being completely bare. Before she started she went over the whole procedure with me. The pain was durable and it was really quick. I can already see a huge difference from the first session. I will be sending all of my friends here for any services they need. read more

This review is for their chemical peel facial club only. I wasn't new to spa aesthetica when I signed up for this last facial club, which includes 6 chemical peels over the course of 6 months at a slightly discounted rate. It's something that I'd done in the past with them with pretty good results, however the staff today is entirely different from the staff that was employed the first time that I did the facial club. Lots has changed since then. Jessica helped me with 2 of the 6* peels that I received and she seemed very well informed and was very kind throughout, no star deductions for the service that she provided. As for everything else...well I've seen little to no improvement on my skins appearance after about $600 worth of treatments. Additionally, this spas policies are pretty bad. First of all, they require that you purchase sunscreen from their store as well as a moisturizer, and some kind of gel that's supposed help with irritation. I neither needed, or wanted any of these items, which altogether cost somewhere in the range of about $200 (not included in the original $600 previously mentioned). I reluctantly agreed since I was hoping for the same results that I got in the past with their previous esthetician, Wendy. Its ridiculous for a spa to assume that you don't already own sunscreen and a basic moisturizer. It's an obvious ploy to make an extra buck to no benefit of the client. Another poor policy that they have is if you miss an appointment, they keep the money and render absolutely no service to you. I lost $89 because of this, so really I only had 5 treatments. I think it would be better if they charged you $25 for missing an appointment and allowed you to reschedule. Lastly, the first 3 treatments I was given were far too gentle to produce any results, and the esthetician who provided them, whose name I can't remember, made a poor judgment on not bumping me up to a stronger peel. More money down the drain. One more thing, the front desk staff often seem pretty apathetic about their clients and their concerns and/or goals. I miss the old staff. I had my first follow up appointment after my lift and BA at Spa Aesthetica, and Lisa was great. She made me feel comfortable when I was still in a bit of discomfort from my surgery just 2 days prior (and still on pain meds). She removed the outer bandages that were protecting the incisions and made sure everything looked as it should. I also got the LED light treatment a couple times, which was nice and relaxing. I really enjoy the upbeat, friendly attitudes of the girls at the front desk. They are genuinely interested in the well being of their client's skin. The doctor is a gem as well.
