I am bummed because I really liked Dr. Reichner and I LOVED Joy. However, here is one of the last email exchanges with the receptionists. Never have I heard a response. Be forewarned if you have to rescheduled an appointment....DON'T YOU DARE! Hi Brenda, I am so glad to hear you guys are so extremely popular! Gotta love lots of business. :-) This fact alone makes me scratch my head with the unfortunate to hear news of you charging me a $100 penalty. If you are overflowing with customers why would you penalize a loyal customer who tried to reschedule but your phone lines were busy for 2 hours? It appears that I am of no value and in fact I am now in the negative dollars just being a customer of Spa Aesthetica. While I do believe in the extreme popularity of the spa, I also know that you are in a highly competitive marketplace. I hope that you feel comfortable with the $100 penalty because I would have given you many more dollars as a customer and now I am no longer. This med-spa is situated in a strip mall, but close to CHOC, Mainplace Mall and the Discovery Science Museum. So... if you're in Orange County and your in-laws are driving you barking mad, you can dump your kid off at the museum, send your husband to watch a movie, and get some beautification time in for yourself, because you deserve it! I originally wanted just a touch up/very localized photo facial... because under high magnification, I see/imagine slight sun damage or whatever on my cheekbones. Allegedly. Called, made my appointment, held my spot with a credit card, showed up for my consult and mini-zap... only to be told that because of my skin tone, I wasn't a candidate for a photo facial. Even a little, bitty, teeny one. Even though I'd had one before. I could, however, treat the aforementioned affliction with facials and a new investment in the Obagi skincare line. Product whore that I am, I brightened and pressed the "pause" button on the tantrum I *almost* pitched. I was somewhat annoyed that I wasn't given paperwork in advance of my consult - "I don't do photo facials on women with your skin pigment," is what was told by the laser tech... who was an R.N. and also, medical director (Dr. Reichner's wife). I ended up booking a series of exfoliating facials, which were tingly, but not the least bit uncomfortable; nor did I look red, blotchy or burnt, in the days following. I also started the Obagi-C program... which yielded amazing results. It's an investment, of course... but the full-size products last 6-7 months, easily. Caveman and I also signed up for a special "Couples Chocolate Facial" - which was every bit as fragrant and decadent as it sounds. Plus, Caveman with a chocolate masque on his face was too amusing to pass up, even in theory. + Well edited selection of Med Spa Services + Tranquil, semi-private, "Asian themed" reception area + Cucumber-lemon infused ice water (self-serve) + gossip magazines + Jane Iredale mineral cosmetics + Medical make up solutions (post op; correction/concealment of hypo/hyper pigmentation) The location is not glamorous, but I always feel beautiful and refreshed after treatments here. read more

Thanks to the advice from all of you wonderful yelpers, I decided to give this place a try yesterday. I was really pleased with my choice. This place is awesome! All of the girls that work here are incredibly nice...excellent customer service. The spa itself is very clean and smells so yummy once you enter the doors. I checked in with the receptionist, and she led me to a room behind the front reception desk. It was a nice, quiet, relaxing waiting room with complimentary snacks and tea. The girls continuously check on you while you're filling out paperwork and are happy to answer any questions you may have. After I was done, my gorgeous esthetician named Stephanie came out and led me to her room. She waxed my eyebrows and did a spa facial. She is awesome...very sweet, nice and knowledgeable about what she does. The nice thing is that she really enjoys her work. Also, her extractions were very gentle. They didn't hurt at all, which is different for me. My eyes usually tear up when I get extractions done, but not with her. She also gives the best arm and hand massages. I had really dry and flaky skin before I went here. Granted, my last facial was last September, my skin has never been in such bad shape, and wearing foundation made my skin look worse because my skin was so flaky. After my facial at Spa Asthetica, my skin looks amazing. In fact, I don't need to wear foundation after yesterday. I feel pretty again thanks to these wonderful ladies! read more

I though med-spas had crazy, ridiculous prices for treatments since it has doctors and nurses, but this place proved me wrong. I have been coming here for facials since 2007. I was lured in by their special for first time customers. $49 facial or massages! Who can beat that? After, facials are $80.00, but I think well worth it, because 1) it is a med-spa so it is more credible than a day spa, and 2) I am very particular about who touches and applies products on my face. I have not yet had a massage from here, but my husband was satisfied with his massage from Jeanne. They have a great offer for facial and massage clubs. My esthetician, Wendy, is great. I did a series of chemical peels last summer and loved it...wish I could do it every month! Obagi is a great product...definitely expensive, and be prepared to make a lifetime commitment to it since it definitely does work! But if you want to have beautiful skin take care of it now! If you want good service and treatments without the crazy prices from day spas...this is a great place. Med-spas are the way to go when we're talking about face and skin. We only have one face! Let me start out by saying that I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my makeup, facial products, anything having to do with skin, etc. I like to USE premium products and services. I was FAITHFULLY going to an Anastasia brow artist named Julie for almost 2 years now. Unfortunately, she moved and it's VERY inconvenient for me to drive there every month or so to get my brows done. Finally, I mustered up enough strength to search on yelp for a different brow artist. Yes, I will seek forgiveness from Julie as I really hate doing this. Nonetheless, I need someone closer, but I do understand the risk of "new" stylists, shapers, etc etc. I found Spa Aesthetica on good ol reliable YELP (of course). The reviews were pretty good about Wendy so I gave it a try. I was CERTAIN I knew where the location was, but to my dismay, I was WRONG. I tried to fit in a brow shaping during my lunch hour and ended up lost and frustrated. I was a little upset because I would be charged if I didn't make my appointment. Wendy called me, and she STILL took me. She said she'd try to squeeze me in and to come in anyway. The business was very nice. The typical "spa" atmosphere, relaxing music, water falls, etc. Wendy was absolutely a sweetheart and SHE DID A GREAT JOB. I was VERY skeptical because my former shaper Julie, was just amazing. I don't think it's pricey. I was paying $30 + tip at Anastasia. I believe it's around $20 for a wax. But BRING cash! You can't put tip on your card! I have been going to Spa Aesthetica since about the first day they opened more than 10 years ago. I have been in their "clubs" off and on for years where you get a monthly peel or facial for a discounted price. The staff is very knowledgable and always friendly. They have the newest tehcnology including a facial picture thing (not the techinical term) where you can see the products working! I had a huge problem with pregnancy mask on my face that wasn't going away. They proposed on a system including obagi products and IPL and my face is so much better after only 3 months. It is hardly noticable even now and with the side by side technology, you can see the color fading and pores shrinking. They have latisse and other eyelash systems, skin care products, make up and injectable fillers. The options are endless. Whether you want some pampering from a facial or some pain to look years younger, this is a great place to go. They have strict rules about cancellation, but they always inform and remind. This is an understandable way to do business. As a customer, we have a responsibilty to keep our commitments when a business is holding a spot for us. read more

Spa Aesthetica is my very first facial visit...EVER. I know, what planet have I been on? I was running late, but Wendy and the staff were very patient and gracious. I HATE being late, especially to spa related stuff, no one wants to show up totally frazzled for a relaxing hour ahead. Everyone was really understanding about it. I filled out some intro paperwork and then was whisked off to the "photo booth" for some in depth pictures of my skin. Wendy walked me through all my concerns and suggested that we actually not do the facial, but instead some extractions and a peel. I was breaking out at the time, so it made sense not to rub something that's already so irritated. Wendy was super considerate, explained everything, and walked me through her entire process. She recommended a good sunscreen for me, which I purchased at the spa. The facility is very clean and tidy, it's well organized. I really liked that she tacked my concerns on both a medical and aesthetic level. She didn't try to upsell on me on other services. I really felt that I could trust her recommendations and judgement. Set up my appointment for a little filler. Met with the front desk and checked in. They took my before photos and asked if I wanted for some numbing cream. After my numbing I met with Nurse Rocky. She explained the process and proceded to start the injections. She's got a great hand and it was painful at all. After completion they took after photos for my records. So I am EXTREMELY hesitant about anyone touching my face because it is ridiculously sensitive/acne prone and because of this, I have never gotten any type of skin treatments I generally don't feel comfortable without powder on and I decided I needed to change that and improve my skin condition. Thus, I was shopping around trying to find a great skin care center and I spoke to not only 1 friend (but a few) who highly recommended I go to Spa Aesthetica. I decided to check it out and went in and had an appointment with Wendy (who is SWEET and extremely knowledgeable). I first listed all of the products I currently use on my face and she sat down and explained what ingredients those products had which may cause damage to my skin (which was SO helpful!!). She then conducted a Skin Analysis on my face which was so cool!! I found about the problems area within my skin and it helped identify what areas needed to be improved. I've been getting facials since my early teens, and I have seen over a dozen different facialists. Wendy is, hands down, my favorite! I found her by random chance (thank you, gift certificates!) and couldn't be more pleased with my first experience. First, Wendy took the time to assess my skin, asked me questions about my skin care history, and then offered some ideas of what we might focus on. Throughout this brief interview, Wendy was totally professional while also being charmingly enthusiastic. The facial itself was lovely. She made sure I knew what she was putting on my skin, and why. She also did an excellent job of making sure I was comfortable. The extraction was the least painful I've ever had, and she's also a great masseuse. I've also been to Spa Aesthetica for a massage, which was also above par. I've been getting waxes for 5 years, a year of which I've been going to Spa Aesthetica with Wendy and it's the best Wax experience I've ever had. As far as waxing goes, Wendy also makes the experience less painful than you'd expect. (I still recommend taking a couple of Advil or Tylenol 30 min before hand though) All of the girls are friendly and professional. The atmosphere is great, very calming and... just easy. I've been coming to Spa Aesthetica for about 5 months now and i dont think there will be a day i wont come in! i decided to try this place out because of how close it was too me and of the positive reviews on yelp so why not try it out. I never had a problem with my skin like acne or anything but my goal was to have my skin even MORE clear and flawless. The first appointment i made, they had a deal for new clients which was $65 for a facial i believe. i think there still doing this promotion by the way. All I've received from this place were facials but im definitely scheduling an appointment to have a chemical peal done! ive had multiple facials so far and my skin is amazing! I had surgery with Dr. Reichner and went in to his Spa after my follow up appointment for a facial with Wendy. My first impression was "wow all of these gals are really NICE!" I felt very welcomed and was greeted warmly. I get facials often, and I was very impressed with my treatment from start to finish. I got married this May, and I wanted to get some laser treatments done before I got married, so I started the treatments 8 months before May. I was very nervous about something going wrong, but everyone at Spa Aesthetica is very nice and there customer service is so helpful, any questions I had they were very thorough and put me at ease. Lisa is the RN who did all my treatments; she explained to me how lasering affects people differently depending on skin type, skin color, and hair type. I am Peruvian Italian so I have tan skin, and the treatments worked beautifully. I will start with my pros.. 1. Dr. Reichner is THE best with the lower half of the face. THE BEST. His skill with botox and filler is uncanny when it comes to the lips and lower face muscles to give the perfect pouty (natural looking) doll face. 2. Aubrey (office assistant) is a true asset for the Spa Aesthetica name in whole. Her sweet and calming demeanor as well as her impeccable customer service are invaluable to that clinic. You don't find too many genuine customer service people in SoCal period and it can make or break a business. Cons.. 3. For whatever reason, my left eyebrow muscle is stronger than the left. We learned that the last time. So this time, I politely reiterated that I would need a bit more on the left again due to the prior time in which I required this touch up a few days later. Well, apparently not one word of what I had said was heard because I had to return yet again. I looked like the joker. AND had to pay for the correction. I get the first time this happens. I've been getting monthly IPL treatments and facials here for over a year, and they've improved my rosacea dramatically. (I recommend getting the numbing gel before the IPL treatments.) The facials are so relaxing, and I always leave with glowing skin. I've even gotten 2 facials in one month when I needed extra pampering. It's better than shopping therapy at the mall. PS - buy Trapp candles here! They smell amazing and last so long. read more

You guys, the only good thing about this place is Joy! She's such a sweetheart and I had a good experience with her. As for the front desk and the rest of the Spa, it's very disappointing. 1st, the girls at the front desk are extremely cold, rude, unhelpful, and need to get their soul back from whomever they sold it to. 2nd, they cancel appointments on you and don't tell you until the day of when you show up, and 3rd, they need a 48 hour notice to change or cancel your appointment and if you don't give them notice within the time frame, you get charged a $50-$100 penalty fee per treatment area. At the time when I was coming here, I had a very busy schedule with a full time job that was sending me to different locations last minute and was also going to school so when I had to re-schedule my appointment, I was told I was going to have to pay the cancellation fee of $100 (2 treatment areas), because I had only given them a day and half's notice (I had only reschedule my appointment with them 2 other times within 5 months). I was pretty annoyed mainly because prior to this incident, they cancelled an appointment I had with them and failed to notify me so when I showed up to my appointment, I received the nice surprise that it had been changed. Another incident was when I called to confirm my appointment and was told it was cancelled and they asked me if I wanted to reschedule. And another incident was when I showed up to my appointment and waited for about an hour only to be told I couldn't be seen because the nurse had gotten backed up with another client. I still have several sessions left for laser hair removal on two areas but have stopped going because of the outrages cancellation fee they expect me to pay and because of their lack of professionalism. I can only speak from my own experience and I have to say that I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Love this spa. I have been going there since they opened many years ago. I get monthly facials/chemical peels keeping my skin healthy and clean. I recently tried the microneedling. They have the RF machine which means, no down time. I went to an event the same night and no one noticed. My face is plumper and the skin is thicker. I've been coming here for years, over 10 years! I know when I get Botox it's not diluted. When I've gone some other places they always say I need more. Dr. Reichner won't do procedures just to make a buck. If he doesn't feel it gets results he won't do them. He values his reputation. That's what I love about Spa Aesthetica. Honesty. They don't try to sell you. I've had many different fillers over the years and have always gotten beautiful results. I trust my face to him. I'm always confident I'll like what I see.
