Okay so, I'm never a fan of kosher Chinese food, but Soy Sauce deserves five-stars aside from the food. The food is fine, but their service is absolutely outstanding. I work at the Hillel at Queens College and our students often order from here for smaller events. I had to throw an event and our original catering plan fell through, so the day before I was left scrambling to get the most bang for my buck...or my organization's buck. Soy Sauce offers an amazing catering option at a low-cost, and their customer service blew me away. I worked with Gabriel and he was beyond attentive and he and I even texted about my order! The food arrived piping hot and on time, and to my surprise, was pretty good! Soy Sauce, we'll be back!

Tonight I ordered a wonton soup, a vegetable egg role, sweet and sour chicken and Pam fried vegetable dumplings. The vegetable egg role was outstanding. Filled with cabbage (which I really like) and fried perfectly. The sweet and sour chicken was excellent. The chicken was very clean and the batter wasn't too heavy or over empowering. The sauce was perfectly balanced and I love that the vegetables weren't thrown in the sauce and we're in fact packaged with the chicken. Therefore, the vegetables weren't soggy and disgusting. I was really impressed and highly recommend trying this out. The pan fried veg dumplings we're also delicious. I think the dumplings we're just a bit too thick but their filling was delicious and fresh. What a great medley of vegetables. I loved it. I'm liking this place more and more and can't wait to try out some more stuff. My last tip for everyone is to notice all the things that are on the bar to your left when you walk in. The duck sauce, fortune cookies, utensils and the rest of those items are NOT packed in your take out so take what you need and please don't be greedy. Take what you actually need and don't use a heavy hand just cuz it's free items.

I'm sad to say that this place just wasn't good. I got a beef fried rice that had zero flavor. Ironically, it could have used soy sauce.

I'm updating my review from 3 stars to 4 because, although delivery is long (especially on Sundays), the food is top-notch.

They have a larger dining room that's perfect for big groups, so getting everyone together is comfortable and stress-free. The food is solid, classic Chinese comfort fare -- flavorful, satisfying, and yes, unapologetically rich in MSG (the good kind that makes everything extra tasty). The Fish Fillet Home Style is always a hit with the younger crowd, and the Double Cooked Pork is another standout -- think lechon-style pork belly tossed with plenty of vegetables in a savory brown sauce. That combo somehow gets the kids happily eating their veggies too. They also do Hot & Sour Soup right -- nicely balanced with the perfect tang and heat. The sautéed snow pea leaves with garlic is a staple order for us, and the pan-fried noodles are consistently delicious with great texture. The crispy garlic chicken was surprisingly good as well -- super flavorful and cooked just right. Portions are generous, making it ideal for sharing family-style. The staff are friendly and quick, and the place is clean and well-kept, which makes dining there even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a reliable, no-frills spot for big group dining with satisfying dishes, Wo Kee delivers every time.

I was one of them when I first visited this restaurant about a decade ago and did so during my recent session again. Though they may be one of the best options for traditional Chinese food in the area, comparing them to restaurants in Flushing would land them on the lower end of the spectrum. With that said, they do certain things relatively well, namely the dumplings. I prefer their pan fried dumplings over the boiled because of the skin texture. For some reason, the boiled ones felt a bit tough and chewy, while the pan fried dumplings were better, especially since it has a crispy crust on the bottom. Fillings I have tried are chive & pork, as well as cabbage & pork. Both were quite good and stuffed to the brim. I also do like their wontons with spicy sauce, which has a shrimp & pork filling. Also plump and juicy, these wontons are quite delicious. The sauce is not really all that spicy, but flavorful. As for other items I have tried, most were not bad but below average. That includes the Dan Dan Mein, Beijing Style Noodles, and the Sesame Pancake with Beef. One thing I would recommend to skip would be the Hot & Sour Soup, which was neither hot or sour. If you are in the neighborhood and craving some dumplings or wontons, then seek out this little shop. However, if you want any other types of Chinese food, I would advise you to skip.

It's changed hands several times over the years that we've lived in the neighborhood, but the food has been pretty consistent. There's not much variation in Beef & Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Pork or Fried Chicken Wings. What has changed with the current owners is that they've tried to branch out from the cookie cutter Chinese takeout by expanding into other Asian cuisines, such as Thai. The main printed menu still has the standards, but new hand written menu signs hang from the wall with dishes such as Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice (*w/ choice of protein). We still like to get our regular Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, our favorite Cold Sesame Noodles, Sesame Chicken (or Sweet & Sour or General Tso's) & Moo Goo Gai Pan. I like to add a large quart of Wonton Egg Drop soup for good measure because I love soup. It's Chinese-American comfort fast food, not something my mom would make, but it gets the job done quick. Pretty much any size order you throw at them, it will be ready in 20 minutes for pick-up. Those blazing hot woks are no joke. And you get a free can of soda for every $25 spent. You can also get a 32 oz quart of their homemade iced tea that is super sweet, but is a great thirst quencher in the summer. They take credit card payment (not sure which ones, probably Visa & MC) without additional fees and they are closed on Mondays.
