As I dug in I noticed another fail. There were tomatoes! I would definitely recommended not putting your order over the phone just go in person if possible!!! I started my meal off with their leek risotto. It was pretty good but I would have loved a more bolder flavor. My hubby had the pork dumplings which were delicious! The outer dumpling shell was moist and soft, while the inside was cooked well with hints of ginger. Next up, for my main entree I had the crispy salmon which came with 2 potato pierogies, all on top of a butter-garlic sauce. The salmon was visually beautiful. I don't know why but we waited a while throughout the service. For reference, our reservation was at 6:30pm but we did not leave until 9. We did not get any explanation or updates along the way. If there is anything I would suggest, it is there reservation process. Although I understand this is a school/community initiative, their process seems outdated. Moreover, sometime the person answering the emails can be very short with responses. A bit more proactiveness would be helpful. For example, when I reached out to make my recent reservation, I inquired about 2 dates and times. Someone responded and said they were "booked". That was literally it. I had to email back and ask for further availability, then additional emails to provide my contact info and confirm. A more appropriate response would've been to inform the customer of the unavailability then ask if they had another day in mind or let them know a few dates available. It feels more welcoming and cuts down the back and forth. Ultimately, it would be nice to see them have an online reservation system. A simple Microsoft or google form is probably the simplest way and convenient for all. Overall, it was a good experience, as usual. I'm so glad to see the service is still in service and offering such a great meal at an affordable price. I will definitely be returning and I will continue to recommend it to others!
