This (toll-free) number is open 24 hours for flight reservations, ticket changes, cancellations, baggage inquiries, refund requests, modifications, and other travel-related requirements. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. I do not like southwest. Our travel service with our company booked this flight form me and it just reminded me how much I dislike flying southwest! It is the cattle car of airlines... you board by number with no seat assignment and then select your seat when you get on. I always tend up with a middle seat. This time I did as well for my 4.5 hour flight. Yikes! On top of this there is nothing, no charging ports, no seat back entertainment, and no wifi! 4.5 hours of cramped quarters and zero distractions. My Southwest flights in and out of Hartford were great. The gate agents were straight forward and efficient. They made sure we got where we needed to be on time. When we arrived there was some LOUD music playing which was I guess some kind of celebration for Southwest's birthday or Juneteenth or something? I don't know but my friend and I were cracking up. Had I been waiting for a flight that might have annoyed. E. But just passing through it was a hoot! Our stewardesses were super friendly as well. I asked for a couple extra snacks to share with my kids when I got home and she gave me a hand full. So sweet! Plan ahead though and get there EARLY! Their switch to assigned seating is a mess. Further they no longer have any advantage over other airlines. Their loyalty program no longer provides any benefits. Luggage: No more two (2) free checked bags. Pay for any and all checked luggage now. Snacks/Drinks: free onion flavored pretzel twists, and free water, juice, coffee, soda, tea, etc. You can pay for alcoholic beverages. As of 09/08/2025, specifically on four (4) days out of the year, your FIRST alcoholic drink may be free (see attached photos from their menu). Wifi: Wifi was horrible and not working properly. Hope you have a better experience with it. Seating: no assigned seating with Southwest. It's a first come, first serve basis. Remember that! You can sit anywhere you want ONCE you enter the aircraft. Comfort: I was lucky because my flight was empty; there were many empty seats today 09/08/2025 as not many people were flying today. My seat was comfortable for me because I had no one next to me on either sides. My airplane ride was 2 hours away from my destination, no complaints there. Flight attendants: they just did their job per usual. I didn't pay them any mind and just wanted to get to my destination. Overall: My only complaint was being a loyal customer for many years, and they decided to change their two (2) free checked bags policy. Now I have to pay for every checked luggage. I get it, Southwest Airlines wants to make money like every other airline. Business per usual. Pick and choose your airline I guess. To each their own. Southwest Airlines has figured out the best way to board a plane! I like the boarding system and I never pay an extra fee for early bird check in. The process is smooth and am usually a 5 stars out of 5 with all the flights I take with them. The big perk is two checked bags fly free up to 50 lbs each. And you get to take one personal item and a carry-on bag on board free. They do serve a snack and a complimentary beverage. The flight attendants are attentive and have a sense of humor! Staff always makes an announcement that breaks tension and makes all the customers laugh! During holidays in ATL the boarding areas have decorations. And This time it was a Halloween theme. Glad I had my Halloween hat with me for a photo opportunity! read more

I used to absolutely love Southwest Airlines. I had their loyalty credit card. Their customer service was the best and went above and beyond. That ended years ago. I just canceled my card after a month trying to use my rewards where I can't even get a reply from the team to address the issue. I've now been sent in a volleyball match between Rapid Rewards and regular Customer Service for hours, not one of which gives the same answer and the bottom line is I can't use my rewards because they won't accept my actual mailing address in my small town. Their social media team writes back answers they don't know anything about that don't answer the question- oh, well! From a brand loyalist to someone who can't even use their rewards and is throwing up their hands... it takes actual effort to screw up this bad. read more

I am locked in Orlando airport with the delay for 5 hours and 40 minute which is most likely will be prolonged again for a reason of bad weather. I am hardly convinced about it looking at the sky full of stars. For all this time we were not offered neither any explanation of what is going on nor even a bottle of water. My husband had a stroke 6 months ago and d unable to go back to work again. With other words money is really tight. Our daughter is graduating from army bootcamp in Oklahoma. They ran a 50% off special. I entered the discount code and checked out. 26 hours later I realized there must have been a glitch on their website because the discount was never deducted. Because it was over 24 hrs, I couldn't cancel and rebook the ticket. Nor could they honor the discount. Wow! So much for a company that care about our military families or costumers in general. Since changes in 2024 and 2025, cost of tickets from Midway to Seattle have almost doubled. Southwest is not the same anymore. No free baggage check, extra cost for seats in 4 areas of the plane. Despite the great performance of flight attendants, the worst desk staff ever experienced from the desk of Southwest airline. At Atlanta airport, my flight with Southwest Airlines was canceled at the gate. The airline had rebooked me for a different destination without my consent. I noticed the change on the app, but my printed boarding pass still showed the original flight, so I went to the desk for clarification. After waiting several minutes, the agent suddenly yelled, "What is your question?" I tried to explain the situation by saying, "It looks like my flight was changed without my consent," but she cut me off, yelling again: "I asked what your question is. That's not a question--that's a statement." I calmly asked if she could be a bit more friendly and professional while I explained, showing both the app and the paper boarding pass. Instead, she became more aggressive, waving her hand in front of my face and saying, "No, don't do that." When I tried again to explain, she interrupted me and then accused me of talking over her--even though she had cut me off first. She sighed loudly, showed me several boarding passes with my name, and when I reached to take them--assuming she was handing them to me--she stepped back and said, "Don't do that." After more sighing, she abruptly said, "You're all set," without providing the necessary information about the "extra time" that had been issued for me to move ahead in line. Once again, I have to ask: what kind of training leads staff to treat travelers in this manner? This occurred on November 17, at approximately 5 p.m., at the Southwest gate for the original departure to Phoenix for travelers continuing to Ontario, CA. Whoever it was, she needs multiple rounds of education about professionalism. read more

Have been a A-list preferred with companion pass for years with them. But after trying to give their new seating and boarding policy an open mind, I just can't. It is truly awful. Even if I am in group 1, I still end up having to out my bag several rows behind where I am sitting because the huge number of pre-boarders load their luggage into the first available space. Did they even consider how annoying it is to get your luggage during deplaning when it is 10 rows back. Not to mention they say this is for efficiency but so far it the least efficient process I have ever experienced in an airline. For the small minority of suckers who pay for Baggage under their new $35 fee, just know they seem to be gate checking about half of all bags for free because they don't have room. That seems so aggravating if you just checked your bag to avoid the hassle and now all these people are getting the dam service for free. Another highly inefficient process. Will I continue to fly southwest? Probably; only if I have to. Will I continue to be a list with a companion pass going forward? Super unlikely. It seems better just to pay for the upgraded leg room when you do have fly with them. Their policy very clearly prioritizes pre-board and costumer who pay for premium seats over loyal a list customers. I will undoubtedly look to another legacy airline which until recently could only offer me better loyalty perks but couldn't compete with the overall flight experience. But now, somehow, southwest has managed to be less accommodating to loyalty customers, pricing is now the same as other legacy brands, their wi fi reliability is the worst, their boarding process is now absolutely awful, and even if you are a loyalty customer you are very likely going to parking your bag 10 rows+ behind you. Margin per ticket will likely be higher but my money is lower brand loyalty. Of course this is from the perspective a customer that supposedly gets perks. Imagine how the poor experience you are going to get if you don't want to dish out the extra cash for an upgraded seat and you are in their loyalty program. I would say the likelihood you have gate check your bag is extraordinarily high if you are paying the premium. read more

You need to factor in the replacement of luggage when flying with Southwest. My baggage was damaged, cracked hard case. I did not notice the crack until a day later. I contacted Southwest, they said they can't help me, because policy states damage has to be reported at the airport. We are disabled live 45 min away from the airport and use a car service. I was offered $75.00 for a $350 travel pro hardcase. This is the second piece of luggage damaged beyond repair in as many years. This is unacceptable read more
