    I needed assistance and decided to call this business at 18666660203. The response time was decent and the person on the line tried to help as much as possible. I had to be transferred once, but the second representative handled things better and gave me the correct information. It wasn't perfect, but it was still a workable experience. I'm leaving this review to share how things went for me personally.

    I do not like southwest. Our travel service with our company booked this flight form me and it just reminded me how much I dislike flying southwest! It is the cattle car of airlines... you board by number with no seat assignment and then select your seat when you get on. I always tend up with a middle seat. This time I did as well for my 4.5 hour flight. Yikes! On top of this there is nothing, no charging ports, no seat back entertainment, and no wifi! 4.5 hours of cramped quarters and zero distractions. All this did was remind me to never fly southwest again!

    My Southwest flights in and out of Hartford were great. The gate agents were straight forward and efficient. They made sure we got where we needed to be on time. When we arrived there was some LOUD music playing which was I guess some kind of celebration for Southwest's birthday or Juneteenth or something? I don't know but my friend and I were cracking up. Had I been waiting for a flight that might have annoyed. E. But just passing through it was a hoot! Our stewardesses were super friendly as well. I asked for a couple extra snacks to share with my kids when I got home and she gave me a hand full. So sweet! Plan ahead though and get there EARLY! It can take quite a while to navigate through the airport.

    Southwest Airlines, I love forever. If I ever have or had any issues, customer service always makes it right. I fly with Southwest Airlines, about 99% of the time. I'll definitely be back soon. :-)

    Luggage: No more two (2) free checked bags. Pay for any and all checked luggage now. Snacks/Drinks: free onion flavored pretzel twists, and free water, juice, coffee, soda, tea, etc. You can pay for alcoholic beverages. As of 09/08/2025, specifically on four (4) days out of the year, your FIRST alcoholic drink may be free (see attached photos from their menu). Wifi: Wifi was horrible and not working properly. Hope you have a better experience with it. Seating: no assigned seating with Southwest. It's a first come, first serve basis. Remember that! You can sit anywhere you want ONCE you enter the aircraft. Comfort: I was lucky because my flight was empty; there were many empty seats today 09/08/2025 as not many people were flying today. My seat was comfortable for me because I had no one next to me on either sides. My airplane ride was 2 hours away from my destination, no complaints there. Flight attendants: they just did their job per usual. I didn't pay them any mind and just wanted to get to my destination. Overall: My only complaint was being a loyal customer for many years, and they decided to change their two (2) free checked bags policy. Now I have to pay for every checked luggage. I get it, Southwest Airlines wants to make money like every other airline. Business per usual. Pick and choose your airline I guess. To each their own. I'll fly with whoever has the best deal from now own. No loyalty to any one airline going forward. Pick and choose your battles.

    Southwest Airlines has figured out the best way to board a plane! I like the boarding system and I never pay an extra fee for early bird check in. The process is smooth and am usually a 5 stars out of 5 with all the flights I take with them. The big perk is two checked bags fly free up to 50 lbs each. And you get to take one personal item and a carry-on bag on board free. They do serve a snack and a complimentary beverage. The flight attendants are attentive and have a sense of humor! Staff always makes an announcement that breaks tension and makes all the customers laugh! During holidays in ATL the boarding areas have decorations. And This time it was a Halloween theme. Glad I had my Halloween hat with me for a photo opportunity!

During that transition, I really did not get the chance to enjoy the airport itself because once I arrived, I was in search of the airline gate. Post my short layover, the airline gate was easy to find within the terminal thanks to posted signage, as well as the Plane Train for getting me to the concourse quickly! By the time I arrived at concourse F from concourse B, it was time to board the airplane once I arrived at the Delta Air Lines gate. By then, I swear my anxiety level was nearly at its peak because I did not even have a boarding pass at the time, so I was thinking to myself that I might miss my flight back to Chicago. Near the end of the boarding process, the gentleman that was checking travelers in came over and assisted me, which released that anxiety. The last thing I wanted was to miss my flight, or purchase another ticket, which more than likely would have resulted in a later flight back to Chicago. As for the airplane interior, I loved that the seat area had enough space to where I could adjust my body while seated. I had a decent amount of foot space to where my military-style backpack could fit underneath the seat in front of me. And there were also charging outlets within the seat, thankfully because I burned most of my battery checking the Delta Air Lines website for my boarding pass while enroute to the concourse. While onboard the flight, I ended up watching the movie 'Blade', which put a smile on my face after the commute to get to the gate, and potentially missed the flight. And onboard this flight, the Delta Air Lines attendants gave out refreshments, and snacks which are always a plus. In closing, I am still open to choosing and recommending Delta Air Lines to a friend, relative or colleague even after this experience. My rating given is mostly because of me not receiving my seat until near the boarding process was completed, which is something I never want to experience as a traveler who just wants to go home. We planned this trip carefully, and these repeated cancellations completely disrupted our travel plans. This experience was frustrating, inconvenient, and unacceptable. I expected much better organization and customer care. Every time I fly there is room in the back even though they forced me to check my bag. On my flight today, the last six overhead compartments were empty, though they told me "The crew says all luggage bins are full and you will have to check your bags." JetBlue states that you get one carry on, but you do not unless you are in groups A or B. This is a policy of deliberate lying to force you to buy more expensive seats.
