My family has been using Korean Air for many many years now. Going to Asia, Korean Air is one of the lowest priced airlines and yet their service is not compromised. The flight attendants are lovely, professional, and polite. Check in is good and the meals served are also good. The only thing is that if you have to speak with their customer service line, it's quite hard to communicate with their staff. Luckily I have some Korean friends and they have done the talking for us otherwise, it couldve been worse. All their baggage policies are the standard international size and weight limitations.
I suggest, not only with this airline, but with all airlines to familiarize yourself with their change, cancellation, and baggage policies before you commit. Airlines will serve the food their country represent e.g. Korean Air will serve Korean food and Lufthansa Air will serve European food... I mean, there are no surprises there so bring your own if you want something different. Most airline tickets now gives you a 24 hrs from the time of booking as a courtesy period that allows you to change or cancel your flight without penalties but price difference will always apply. Some airline may have a different courtesy policy, so like I said, familiarize yourself via websites or call the airline directly. When you travel using an airline, keep in mind that there are a lot of things that can go wrong and be prepared e.g. extra money, batteries, carry on should have at least one set of clothes, medicine, and a lot of patience. Don't ever ever make arrangements where you are 'tight with the schedules, leave breathing room and always arrive at the airport early. If things do go wrong, to communicate as soon as possible and be firm with your message, but do keep in mind that you are not the only passenger, and that in reality, we are not that important. *this has been a public service brought to you by Kavinye :P read more
