This is a quality service that the airport provides and a very convenient way to get from parking to the airport. I highly approve and wanted to give a high five and thank you to Atlanta Airport for providing such a convenient and kind gesture to the travelers of Atlanta and Georgia. 5 stars and two thumbs up! Thank you! read more

When the sky train works, it's phenomenal. When it doesn't...it is horrific. We waited almost 2 hours for it to be up and running....it never did. Unfortunately, there was ZERO communication. Finally a worker said they would be running shuttles but again gave NO information on pick-up locations. There was NO ONE directing people or even giving ANY information. I was trying to get an Uber so I was away from everybody and that is where the 1st shuttle to the terminal appeared. We missed our flight and dealt with with Delta agents who acted like we had just slept in even though we arrived over 2 hours early for our domestic flight. read more

The SkyTrain took me from the terminal to the rental car center in a timely fashion. The wait for the train to come is not long and they make it clear while on board which stop is which. The one car I had on the way back smelled like urine but its public transportation, I guess that stuff happens! read more

It's FREE to use!! Sometimes you have to wait a bit for it but at least it's not like in NYC where you're charged maybe $9 or whatever sky high price it is to use the Airtrain at JFK. If you're renting a car at the airport or staying at a hotel nearby, this is how you get there without having to pay for a cab or an Uber/Lyft ride. The view from it is also very nice in the daylight and it wasn't dirty like you know it'd be in NYC. I never used it when I lived in Atlanta though I'd heard of it. Glad to know it exists. read more

One of the easiest ways to get to your rental car or the airport quickly! Trains are constantly running so its easy to get to and from the airport fast. As travel picks up, the trains are getting busier. Ease of use: easy, no fee Cleanliness: Usually very clean. After using this transportation for over a year I have yet to see it dirty. read more

The most necessary, efficient part of the Atlanta airport. For being the biggest airport in the world, a sky train between terminals is necessary. The train arrives every few minutes, so you never have to wait too long and there's never too many people on the train. There are clear announcements as to which terminal the train is stopping at, so you truly can't go wrong or get lost. It's fool proof. read more

Always an easy and convenient way to travel around the Atlanta airport. Saves time and is well maintained.

There's the SKY TRAIN which is separate from the PLANE TRAIN. One goes from the baggage claim to the Marriotts, convention center and rental cars and is above ground. The other loops from TABCDEF terminals and is inside security underground. So this is a review of the one that takes me to the rental cars. First, this is WAY better than any shuttle bus ride. Yes, I'm talking to you BWI and MDW. Your system sucks. This thing ROCKS. Get one. Easy to access from the baggage claim area and just follow the signs. Up a level, your train will arrive in a few minutes and makes one stop at the convention center before ending the run at the rental cars. Very quick, very smooth, very clean and very comfortable. FAST LOVE the SKY TRAIN at Atlanta! read more

Despite ATL often being a train wreck, the SkyTrain is not (no pun intended in either direction). The train is efficient, continually rolling, and a consistent transportation between terminals. I typically prefer walking between terminals at airports, but this method makes it too easy to pass up. Now if the rest of the ATL functions could get on the same level... read more

This sky train is really efficient and very clean. The staff the works it is always helpful and friendly.

At ATL, if you want to head to a specific parking lot or to the main rental car center, you would exit through the West doors of baggage claim and cross the street to head up the escalator to the SkyTram waiting deck. Trams come by every few minutes to take to straight to the rental lot. The signs in the baggage claim are prominent and visible to guide you to these doors. They even have employees dressed specifically to stand out and answer questions about the airport, etc. This sure beats the old fashioned method of waiting for a shuttle bus or van to take you off site to get your reserved vehicle. read more

SkyTrain - Public Transportation Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

What a gip! We got on this beautiful and modern transportation system with great anticipation, only to discover that it is not actually a train to the sky at all! It only goes to the gateway hotels and the rental car center, and it remains firmly planted on its tracks the whole time. I repeat: it does not actually fly! It's buyer beware I guess. When we got back to the terminal the man in the shabby raincoat who had collected ten dollars from me in order to ride was nowhere to be found. I suppose if you're actually going to the Gateway Center or the rental cars, you can ignore this review. But thrill seekers looking for a ride to the sky, you've been warned. read more

Since I am constantly traveling I must say these days I have more and more respect for the ATL airport. It's huge and overwhelming at first when you land but things are just streamlined and efficient. The worst part about the airport was getting to your rental car location, etc... and now we have the ATL Skytrain. I just flew in for a wedding over this weekend and got to take a ride on the Skytrain. They boost less than a 2 minute wait for train (I stood around for 30 seconds) and you get taken to a pointless stop at the GICC and then an amazing new rental car facility. Hat Tip to this one and I assume you will start to see some hotels, etc.. sprout up around these locations and the GICC stop. It's clean, fast, quick an easy....basically everything we wish MARTA was and isn't. read more

SkyTrain - Hartsfield Airport Station - Public Transportation Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Shuttle Dropping the rental off at Hartsdale is easy enough- but getting to the terminal is a snap with the SkyTrain. Steps from the rental lots you pop on and are whisked to the main airport terminals in a few moments. The train itself is clean and bright- clear announcement system and an almost smooth ride- it seems to jerk a round a little too much for my taste. Use it! read more

Excellent way to travel to the airport from the rental car return. The train came every couple of minutes and was super fast. Next time I am in the area I am going to spend my last night at one of the hotels that links directly to the airport via the SkyTrain so I can make a quick getaway and not worry about the commute into Atlanta and the rental car drop off on the day of my flight. read more

Yes it is old and a little sad looking, but it is really very efficient! Travelling between terminals is a breeze with the Sky Train. They usually run at a frequency of every 2 minutes, which means I don't die of claustrophobia while waiting at the dark underground stations. The trains obviously tend to get packed during rush hours (think Monday mornings and Thursday evenings), but there are plenty of hand rails and poles to hold on to when inside the cabin. All in all, I have nothing to complain about. It would be nice if ATL took better care of their escalators leading to the sky train stations though - some of them ALWAYS seem to be under construction! read more

Sky train is a nice way to get around the Atlanta Airport. -very speedy transportation system -clean and a ton of railings to hold on to in front, to the sides, and above you (no seats) -spacious and secure to stand up in -plenty of live-time informative maps inside the sky train which shows the route to each concourse, clearly labeled and lit up so you won't get lost here read more

I'm not exactly sure why this has its own yelp page.... but ok. The sky train takes you from the airport to hotels and the rental car center. It runs on a regular basis without fail. So yeah... it's a short train that brings you from one place to another in about 3 minutes. And it's free. I wouldn't come down to college park just to ride it or anything because I'm not a maniac but you kinda have to take it if you're trying to get a rental car. read more

I just love trains and what better way to enter into Atlanta than taking the Sky Train to the rental car center. Actually, you have to take the Plane Train 1st ( the train that runs between the airport terminals) to get to the Sky Train . The Sky Train is always on time , clean and plenty of space when I'm on it. I feel like a kid again just waiting for the adventure to begin. read more

The ATL skytrain runs every 1 minutes but operates every 5 minutes between the airport & the rental car center but last than 2 m

It's interesting writing a review on the SkyTrain, but I can say that it's definitely a convenient way of going from the rental car center to the airport. The right is extremely smooth and the cars are very open. There aren't many seats, but it's understandable considering you probably won't be on the SkyTrain for more than 10 minutes. read more

SkyTrain - Public Transportation Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

I've traveled through many airports and ATLANTA is my home. I have to say this train is almost always on time, very efficient and fast. Quick way to get to your concourse. Much better mode of transportation than any other airport I've been to read more

Look, in a perfect world I would prefer that the rental cars be right outside the airport terminal and not require an extra round of transportation. But that doesn't seem to exist any more. At least not at major airports. So this solution is better than most. Instead of standing outside and waiting for a bus, then taking a bumpy bus ride to BFE, you just stroll out of the airport and into the SkyTrain terminal. From there, you ride on a train that only makes one other stop and get dumped out at a rental car terminal. It seems faster than dealing with buses as most airports and having to worry about showing up 2 hours early to check in your rental car. The ride is smooth. It's not an especially scenic trip, but you still have nice large windows to fight off any claustrophobia. All in all, it's better than what they had before in Atlanta. read more

Wow, this SkyTrain is SOOO much better than the old system of buses. Sure, ATL's rental car center is pretty far from the terminal itself, but with this newish train, it's a snap to get there, and back. Doesn't DFW need one of these? I say yes, they do. read more

Great way to get around the airport!

Fast, clean, and efficient transportation between terminals

The train its self is good. It is still relatively new so everything is clean and looks good. It moves smoothly and quickly along the track. My first issue is with the annoyance of having to take a train to get a rental car. All car rentals should be on site. The second issue is with the location of the station at the airport. You have to leave the terminal and cross the street, another inconvenience. read more

Good job, Atlanta airport -- you did something right! Somehow I even get cell service on here. Smooth and clean and relatively pleasant. Could definitely benefit from clearer signage as to what terminal you have reached. read more

Skytrain not operating after 11 PM and before 5 AM Sun - Thu. If you arrive after 11, as we did, you have to wait for a shuttle, and we waited about 25 minutes. The workers queuing the lines are overwhelmed and didn't stop line cutters (too much confusion for them). We are flying out early Sunday AM, but since the train runs 24 hours Fri and Sat, apparently, are we guaranteed avoiding a shuttle nightmare? Because the signage is insufficient, questions like this arise, i.e., lack of planning and communication on the operator's part, and I can't get an answer to this question, very frustrating. read more

Fun, efficient, fast, and literally gets to the point. I have always liked the SkyTrain when flying in and out of the Atlanta airport. I just wish there were more places to sit, standing with a fast moving vehicle is a little scary to me. Also the signage is pretty confusing for folks who don't live in Atlanta and know the airport well. Twice now I think I have gotten off at the wrong terminal thinking it was the last one. They should revise it to make it easier to understand for tourists. read more

I know, who writes a review about the plane train right . No but seriously , it is super clean and runs every 2-4 min. I had such a bad experience with the one at Newark, that I just had to give praise to the Atlanta Airport one. read more

How freakin awesome that you can hop on this guy and get to your rental car in just about 2 minutes! Really nice feature to the Atlanta airport. I couldn't have been happier! read more

Next to walking right into the rental car lot from the airport, this is as good as it gets. Atlanta's such a large busy airport, I think an onsite rental car facility would be hard to pull off. It's great not having to wait on a shuttle bus. That's one part of a trip that I dread and I'm sure they would be packed here almost all the time. The Sky Train gets you to the facility in a jiff and there's not too many steps to go to reach your car. For the world's busiest airport, Atlanta is doing a good job in keeping it up to date and as convenient as it can be. read more

I wish more airports offered this service. You just hop on and go, no dodging around slow people who feel like they need to take up the entire hallway space in the airport. read more

a Freudian slip, or fat fingers, or possibly both, meant I was typing in "slutrain" while looking for it on Yelp to check-in. simply put, this is a quick and easy way to get from the main part of the airport to the rental car area. there's a stop in between at the Georgia Convention Center too. from one end to the other it's maybe a 5 minute ride. it's also very clean and modern looking, and almost has a European mass transit feel to it (for those who have explored the public transit systems of Germany or Switzerland, for example). read more
