That is no longer the case as I recently discovered. Yesterday (Feb, 2024) at Star Auto it cost me $39.99 for a regular oil change. Today (July, 2024) I went to Pep Boys and it cost $35.99. Tomorrow if you go to Star Auto expect to pay $82 plus taxes and fees per a sign posted in their service department. Yesterday (Sept, 2023) the cost of tire rotation at Star Auto was $19. Today I had my tires rotated at Star Auto at a cost of $32.55. Tomorrow I will be heading to Pep Boys where there is no charge. Yesterday (Sept 2023) my wife had a synthetic oil change at Star Auto for $89.95. Today (July, 2024) my wife had a synthetic oil change for $78.68 including taxes at Pep Boys. Tomorrow if you go for a synthetic oil change at Star Auto expect to pay $115 plus taxes per a sign posted in the service department.

Over 2 weeks later the car was "ready", we sign and pick it up, fill the tank and the car starts spewing gas. Major gas leak, it has to be towed back and Deb's has it for another 2+ weeks. Jon promises us a 1 yr extended warranty for the hassle, we pick it up and then notice sheered lug nuts and a loud exhaust noise. I finally bring it to our mechanic who fixed the issues for a few hundred bucks. 1 month into owning it, a major oil leak pops up. I go to call and verify the warranty Jon provided and it was bogus. Over a month of back and forth trying to get him fulfill his promise of an extended warranty and nothing. This guy is a professional hack and is awesome at dodging calls. Currently pursuing a complaint through the DMV and they tell me this location is well known to them. Be smarter than me and DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!

The owner originally lied about who he was (originally claiming he was just a salesman and not the owner). I (a 21 year old woman) was purchasing the car entirely on my own, but Miyan basically only spoke to my partner's dad (who I brought to check out the car). Miyan interrupted me CONSTANTLY and continued to bring up the fact that he had 4 businesses and seemed to think he was better than everyone because "he's a business man". My loan check from an outside financing company got lost in the mail (which I communicated to Miyan), but I was constantly called and texted demanding to know when it would be here. I was a full time student/working 30 hours a week at the time, so I could not talk on the phone, but was constantly getting calls from Miyan demanding information that he didn't need (my SSN, other personal info related to my external loan, etc). My mom called on my behalf and I was able to listen to the conversation afterwards, in which he called me a "stupid f*cking girl" and said this "is why he doesn't sell to 18 year olds". When I finally dropped off the check, Miyan would not release the car to me until the check cleared (even after calling Wells Fargo to verify that it was a good check), to the point where we had to call Meriden PD. Miyan claimed he would keep the car and register it for me (he had previously said it would cost an extra $500 but 'waived it' at this point). I gave him the money to pay for the registration ($400), he gave the DMV incorrect information and verbally berated them until they kicked him out. I had to pick up the car, transport it home unregistered, and go register it myself (I had no problems with the people at the DMV). Never got the money back I gave him to register it as he just stopped responding to my messages.
