Jerrell was kind enough to help me that same day a few hours later with no questions asked. I had never stepped foot in their establishment prior. He put my car on the lift to look for a device, he was not able to find anything but told me to come back anytime if I had any additional information. This type of kindness really went a long way for me. I won't hesitate to bring my car there for service because of the way he went out of his way for me and didn't have to. He didn't charge me a dime! I highly recommend Palumbo's if you are looking for a business that genuinely cares. Can't say enough great things about them!

Not the best experience here. I inquired about service on my diesel truck. The woman at the…read moreservice desk was rude and didn't like the fact that my mechanic friend and I had an idea of what the issue could possibly be. I understand they have to do their own diagnosis, but they could've been much nicer with how they handled what we thought it was. I felt very uncomfortable and didn't like how I was treated. I asked to speak to the mechanic and they wouldn't speak to me.

I strongly urge anyone considering Duddies Automotive on Broad Street in Meriden, CT to stay far…read moreaway from this shop. Joe Duddie cost us our vehicle due to his negligence, and we were forced to take him to civil court, where a judge ordered him to return our payment. Despite this, Joe ignored the court's deadline, and even after I personally reached out and gave him an extra 24 hours to respond, he never replied. Joe Duddie is not the kind of person who takes accountability. He lies, leaves out critical information about the work he performs, and when things go wrong, he refuses to take responsibility. Just like others have shared in their reviews, our experience echoes a pattern of shady practices -- Joe performs faulty work that ends up ruining vehicles, and then refuses to inspect or correct his own mistakes. This is not an honest mechanic. Do not trust this man. Do not bring your vehicle here. There are plenty of reputable shops in the area that value integrity and customer service -- Duddies Automotive is not one of them. and still no payment has been received even after being ordered by the court.

If you are already using another Subaru dealer or you are considering another car (They sell boats too) then it is worth your while to check them out. First of all, the dealership is family-run. Not to sound corny, but I feel like a family member when I walk in. Lol. Everyone I've encountered has treated me with friendliness, respect and professionalism (Ok, there is a bit of humor thrown in too). The car processes have gone smoothly and they have always been under the prices of the other dealers. The service dept has always tried to accommodate my needs. One time I was worried about a short hesitation while driving, and when I called, they told me to come right down to make sure the car was safe to continue driving it. Bobbi has been my salesperson. She has an upbeat, amazing personality. She cares about the sale, but takes the time to get to know who you are and what your needs are. Watch out for her dry sense of humor. Ask her for a good recipe too. Lastly, if you need a quick vacation, the property has a beautiful water view that you can see from the deck-yes, I said deck. You can sit on the deck, along the water or inside-where the treats are. Overall, it's a beautiful environment. I forgot- If you refer someone, you get a nice check in the mail to use for future use. They were very transparent about what was actually needed vs. what would be easier to DIY. Overall, pretty good experience with the service department. Now, for the not so great. The body shop. The quoting was vague, obscenely overmarked, and they were unwilling to even try to work something out for both parties. They didn't want to take the job from the start, but instead of being professionals and simply saying they only really work on insurance claims; they decided to fabricate a bs quote. Don't take your car here if you want body work done, but they are still relatively good for general repair/maintenance.
